Hey! I initially came here because I was looking for a way to somehow farm seaweed at home. I don’t currently live anywhere near the ocean, is there a way to grow any breed of especially Japanese breeds of seaweed in a very large tank or something? Thank you in advance!
Yes, there is land based cultivation of seaweeds as well. Check out Seakura and Acadian Sea Plants as examples! We also have some videos posted of our tank cultivation of Dulse!

Saccharina latissima, Alaria marginata and Macrocystis pyrifera

Thank you! The kelps we cultivate, grow over the winter months (December through April) but each species is different.
