Drummer was Hideki Aoyama. BOH on bass, Takayoshi Ohmura & Leda Cygnus on guitars.
The venue was Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in Japan, with a sold out crowd of 20,000.
The lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto first performed at SSA for the 'Animelo Summer Live 2008' as part of the JPop trio Karen Girl's.
She was ten years old.
The 'Rondo of Nightmare', 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!!' and 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' suggestions for your next song are all great choices.

Ah, I really enjoyed your reaction! It was great to see how concentrated you were during the whole thing, and I was really relieved with your final verdict. After your first video it seemed to me like you were interested but still quite sceptical, but now it‘s pretty obvious that you are properly amazed. :-)
To me there are two specific points in this video that show me as a viewer whether the reactor gets this band:
The first one is the intro as a whole, but particularly when the kick drum sets in. When you see the reactor‘s face respond to that part, I know „OK, step one, they appreciate the Metal part“.
The second one is the crowd interaction. Some reactors complain that that part is too long. Those will never be BABYMETAL fans. A person who understands this band will immediately recognize the passion of the crowd, they will imagine how awesome it would be to be part of it, and they will be amazed by the girls having achieved this at such a young age.
I guess you mastered that stage.
You were absolutely right, it’s so strange to what extent they make this work against all odds. I have been a fan for 2.5 years now, and I still can’t comprehend how much this phenomenon has taken me under its spell. But one thing is for sure: I‘m more than happy that it has, I have never had more fun with any band before.
Their catalogue is very diverse, it’s quite possible that you won’t like all of it. Even among fans the lists of favourites vary greatly. But I‘m positive now that you‘ll enjoy quite a lot of it. You will definitely not get bored, they are full of surprises.

LOVE IT how the song starts out slow and pulsing, then when the music kicks into quadruple drive, any open areas of the audience become swirling mosh pits!!! LOVE IT!!!!

Here's another one for you: "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", Live at Sonisphere 2014 (ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.html). Some background on that one, to put that performance into perspective for you:
It was 2014, BABYMETAL had just released their first album. They'd been only a sub-group of an Idol-group from Japan; young girls (16 and 15 at that point) who had been in this crazy experiment - kicking ass but also still growing up and taking it all in. It was their first tour outside of Japan; they had just played two smaller gigs in Paris and Cologne, before the Sonisphere festival. Sonisphere was a well-known, big Metal festival in England. BABYMETAL was supposed to play on a side-stage but, due to growing interest and having unexpectedly blown up on UA-cam recently, they were rescheduled to open the main stage. It was a crowd of people that were there, mainly waiting for bands like Anthrax and out of curiosity about this crazy thing from Japan and a crowd that had been known for 'bottling' bands if they thought they were 'crap'. The girls had no idea if someone was going to show up and, before going on stage, had absolutely no idea how big the crowd was going to be. When going on stage, waiting to go on, before the start of their set, they saw a crowd of 60K Western Metal-Heads. (There's a picture of them at that moment. They look like thinking, "Oh, crap, we're fucked!" The singer, Suzuka 'SU-METAL' Nakamoto later recalled: "I thought, well, I guess we'll have to work even harder...") What followed was a five song set, "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Which means something like "No (more) bullying, (for)ever".) being the last song of that set. Have a look and see what three little Japanese girls in red tutus (and a insanely tight backing band) managed to accomplish by the end of their five song set! ;-)

Great reaction Patrol! I once heard a fellow fan respond to some criticsm that this group was manufactured by saying that the group is actually precision engineered. The founder of the group, Key Kobayahsi, heard Suzuka Nakamoto's singing voice when she was 12 I believe, while she was a part of the TV idol group Sakura Gakuin, and thought it would work well with heavy metal. He added her fellow Sakura Gakuin classmates Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi (who were 10) and formed a heavy metal club within Sakura Gakuin, which eventually became independent and was named BABYMETAL to celebrate the birth of a new genre of metal music. It works because it blends the energy of Heavy Metal with the positivity of Pop, the three girls are natural performers and very talented singers (there is a video of Moa singing that I will recommend to you a bit later), and the session musicians, known as the Kami Band, are some of the best in the business, as you saw. They recently added a second, "Western" Kami Band for their 2019 US Tour that got to show their solo chops at last Fall's US arena concert in LA, and they did not disappoint. I don't have all their names off the top of my head but I am sure my fellow fans will name them for you.
As for what to react to next, I recommend Karate at the 2016 Download Festival, Headbanger from the Legend 1997 concert (named for Suzuka's birth in 1997 and to celebrate her 16th birthday), and Rondo of Nightmare with the Gods of Mischief intro. Welcome to BABYMETAL! There is still so much more for you to see!
@Steven Colenso As he has talked about in interviews, Koba was aware of Suzuka and her voice before Sakura Gakuin began.
He even attended the last performance of her group Karen Girl's in March of 2009.

The American Kami Bands drummer is Antone Barone, a real beast. The 2 guitar players and the bassist are from Galactic Empire (so they're used to playing in mask/costume). I think one guitarist is Chris Kelly and the Bassist is Carson Slovak. Sorry, but I couldn't find the other guitarist's name.

My favorite Babymetal song would be Tales of the Destinies but I a with anyone else: Nothing tops Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God Intro!! You see entire potential of the band and Su-metal is as awesome as one can get! X3

Pretty good audience control, Huh. Su is 17 and Moa and Yui are 15 yo!! Rob Halford of Judas Priest named them "The Monster Ladies of Metal". Maybe an understatement.
What's not to love, mate? And you know a band owns the crowd when they're willing to go completely silent in the middle of the song. Balls.
Good reaction - and yes it is so much better than 'Gimme Chocolate' for several reasons, a couple of them being with this one you got the Kami Band supporting the girls, live audio from the concert with Su's voice not being compressed or over-produced as happens in the studio recording. Obviously an even bigger crowd and some proper crowd participation - from absolutely everybody there - makes a difference too.
One of the things you will see with Babymetal concerts and live videos is that the participation goes all the way from the front to the back - it isn't just the front 5-10 rows jumping up and down, waving their arms and singing along, everybody there gets involved. I saw somebody once say that with most bands you go to see them and hope they'll put on a good show and entertain you - with Babymetal you go along hoping the crowd will be good enough and provide the feedback to the girls and the Kami Band so they can feed off it and enjoy themselves - they have the most fun when everybody else is having the most fun and what they get from the crowd they will give back multiplied many times over in their energy and performance.
My vote for your next reaction goes to 'Headbanger' live at Legend 1997 or live at Budokan, Black Night so you get more of all 3 girls before moving on to see the other things they do with Su's solos or the 'Black BABYMETAL' duets of Yui and Moa without Su.

Babymetal call it the Mosh shh Pit as they like their fans to circle for them but (cos they're so sweet and thoughtful) don't like to see fans throwing themselves bodily into the crowd like a real Mosh Pit.

@@ginkarasu That's what Babymetal call the circling. A Mosh Shh (as in shush, quiet) Pit. A Mosh Pit is when the audience just throw themselves at each other. Believe me, after seeing a lot of live Metal shows since I first saw Black Sabbath in1976, it makes a nice change to just go round in circles as I'm too old to be battling the kids.
@@tonygriffin_ I believe a "Mosh'sh Pit" and a "Circle Pit" are two separate things. At the shows I've been to, there have been Circle Pits where you just run in a circle and have a blast. But there has also been Mosh'sh Pits full of adrenaline with fans throwing themselves at each other, pushing and shoving. The difference with the Mosh'sh Pits is that unlike some traditional mosh pits there aren't any a**holes punching or elbowing and intentionally trying to hurt other fans.

great reaction is undoubtedly much more impressive than gimme chocolate since we can appreciate the control over the public and as this in turn korea the song without saying to the very special and unique one was made on February 1, 2015 the song is the first song That there will be his album called Metal Resistence ,This concert was in Saitama Super Arena with an audience of more than 20,000 people. and road to resistance was his concert closing song. The guitar arrangements for this song were made by Herman Li and Sam Totman of the Dragonforce band in the studio version of course, in case you it seems something similar to his style I think your next reaction could be to ijime dame zettai (no more bullying) of his 2014 world tour in sonisphere UK live version it was his first great concert outside of asia and you will surely like it. ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.html

I'm really liking them, but much rather go to or watch live. If I were to just buy studio, I'd miss all the great choreography. Would definitely have to have some calm music for afterward though, otherwise I don't think I'd sleep. I'd be too hyped lol.
Something from their fabled "Legend 1997" show would be good for next time. I would say "Headbangeeeeer!!" and especially "Babymetal Death" from Legend 1997 if you really want to see how "metal" this band can be.

Next should be Rondo of Nightmare ( Mischiefs of God intro) live, followed by either Headbanger (Makuhari Messe) Live or Ijime, dame, zettai live from Sonisphere UK.
Note that Ijime, dame, zettai live from Sonishere was their first show outside of Japan. The crowd at Sonisphere can be harsh, but they liked them more and more, song after song. And they ended the gig with Ijime, dame, zettai. And you can watch yourself if it was good enough for that crowd :)

@Kristen Odde There was a bit of a warm up overseas before their big festival show at Sonisphere in the UK on July 5th, 2015.
They played Paris on July 1st, and Cologne on July 3rd.
Those were the shows were Yui and Moa took over lead vocals on 'Headbanger!!!' to celebrate their fifteenth birthdays.

That there is what we used to call a "rock concert" back in the day.
Herman Li and Sam Totman of British Power Metal band DragonForce are on guitars for this, although only listed as featured artists. You can tell by their trademark fast and high pitch riffs.
They wrote the guitar arrangements and played on the studio album version but it was the Kami Band guitarists (Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura) for this performance.

It's them at their peak, before YuiMetal left the group and Mikio Fujioka died. Also check out another group BAND-MAID. I see a lot of comments suggesting great songs for you to check out of BABYMETAL and I really don't think that they know how to do a bad song.
However; I scrolled your Playlist and saw that you haven't discovered BAND-MAID yet. I kept seeing them in my recommendations and I started with Play (Live/Japan) and I have been convinced ever since that their Bass player Misa just might be the best today. You will know within the first 45 seconds if I'm right or not.

There are a lot of track that BM has that amounts to a lot of shock value as their material is fairly unique even if a lot of people try to attach similarities to other bands, it usually stops at "Oh this beat, or oh that sequence of notes", I mean sure ...
