- It goes without saying that many watch collectors despise Hublot. You only need to visit forums or social media to see Hublot being the subject of many jokes. How come, though? Hublot receives more than its fair share of criticism despite the fact that many of the items for which it is criticized are not specific to the brand. Not that the sales of the brand appear to be affected in any way by this. Why do Hublot watches get so much hate?

Hublot does this crazy thing where you go into the store and the watch you want is there.
Thats not true anymore! The Unico 2 Flyback Chrono in 42mm Black Ceramic or Spirit of BigBang 42mm in Black Ceramic are not always available.
Also the limited editions are not available immediately.
Things have changed during the last 3 years!
I personally think that this hate towards Hublot Watches is just like a trend that everyone is trying to ride

Never knew someone liked Hublot from horological perspective, I have always think of them as fashion pieces.
To be honest, I actually like these watches.
Hublot on the used market sometimes 60% of more off retail is now a deal. Would never pay retail but I do like some of the brand’s watches and will add more
Ppl who hate Hublot mostly are rookies in this hobby who based their opinions solely on media ie they never own or play with or worse still never see on in real life.
Hublot sapphire series are exquisite. Don’t reply until you have a chance to feel it touch it and put it on your wrist.
I have been collecting for over 25 years and I can honestly say I enjoy Hublot watches. I own and have owned several. The watch snobs of the world make me laugh.
Collectors may underestimate Hublot watches, but they are chic. The variety of models and the quality of execution are striking. I would love to wear this watch. Thanks for the video, I really liked it
Hublot watches are about quality. Watch collectors hate Hublot because they see the watches as needlessly expensive and they believe the brand ignores the watchmaker's heritage and reputation.

I personally like Hublot but I hate comes from the movement and not being built in-house. They use a modified SW300-1 movement that costs $300 but charges over $10k for their watches..

I think they are nothing more than comments from haters, without any foundation or credibility. Hublot is one of the leading brands in the luxury segment, offering extraordinary quality, design and precision, so these derogatory comments just deserve to be ignored.

Bolts alignment??? You probably wouldn’t buy a timber furniture if trees were not lined up when planted . And of course should be exactly identical distance between trees. Otherwise furniture can’t be good. Right?

Excellent quality watches, design and prestige, so these derogatory comments have no basis or justification. It is a brand worthy of admiration and recognition for its tradition and value.
Hublot have made some outstanding contributions to watchmaking though. The Ferrari engine shaped watches are a masterpiece in terms of movement with 60 day power reserves and their Meca 10 movements are also amazing with 10 day power reserves. Additionally their use of material like reinforced carbon and titanium are cool. So I believe they deserve SOME credit, but yes there are some things about them that are silly like the use of ETA movements and then charging ridiculous prices on those models or the large amount of ‘special edition’ watches which doesn’t make it feel special anymore.
Guys why are there watches in the used gray market still hold somewhat of there value. You would think there gold watches would sell close to 10 k if everyone hated them.

Hublot watches are top notch and priced right. All this talk about the movement ignores that no one buys non-digital watches for their time. Watches are works of jewelry. Jewelry is about the quality of the finish and how it's cut to contain surface points that reflect light from light sources at all angles to destinations at all angles which is the science of how bling works.
Their re sell value goes down because what other brands do is when make a watch within a year or 2 they will discontinue it and the people sell the discontinued watches tend to increase in price it can be fixed but won't be making the model anymore thats also a huge reason why ap rolex and others go up in value

Jacob & co along with Hublot target Black people and I often how that brand is Hated also INTERESTING… So how is it Jean Claude Biver is NOT hated but the brand is and he made Hublot what it is and he hired Ricardo Guadalupe who continues that idea 💡. Hublot watches have a reputation of being loud, crass, and not very clever. While they may well be both loud and crass, on occasion, there is a lot more going on than meets the eye.
They are anti-conformist and have truly bold designs. That’s why people hate them.
The misalignment of the screws on the bezel has me triggered. The fact that Hublot hasn't manufactured special tooling to update this shows the lack of focus on their customers and most importantly craftmanship. But then again, it's business, and as long as you have clients who are willing to pay the ridiculous prices then why change from a business standpoint?

Hublot is the Ed Hardy or Affliction of watches.
I admire fine watchmaking, even though I don't own any. I am a watch enthusiast, so much so that I have some good "popular" watches, such as Seiko, GShock, Bulova, Tissot, Citizen, as well as other national ones (because in my opinion the Brazilian watch industry has its value). If my financial reality were to rise considerably I would consider buying Rolex, Omega, AP, Cartier and even Patek but I cannot wish for a Hublot.🕑
