I looked it up online. He lost over 400 pounds and continues to workout and diet and is still married to his wife. He's also back to working.
One of the craziest glowups
That made me smile to know, thankyou!
Realllyyyy???? Thays awesome really
Good to hear a success story, thanks
Thank you for this update. This is beautiful
My husband had diabetes and if I didn't give him what he wanted he would throw a temper tantrum. Nope I never enabled I said I'd rather you be mad than you die. I went toe to toe with him. He lost 150 and diabetes is done. He is doing great and I'm so damn proud of him. You can tell he is happier and thank me all the time when he sees this show that I never enabled him and fought for him to be alive. I only motivated he did all the work. So thankful for all of that
Thanks to you! Unfortunately, not all people are as mature as you are, Ma'am!!!

I work at a small retail store in Central NY, one day a very kind man came in with his wife and kids and told me he has to have a very wide boot because of his ankles…. Soon he came to tell me his name was Chad and he was on season 4 of my 600 lb life. I can definitely say he is thriving now and is In incredible shape!
He seems to be able to do more than alot of the other ppl on the show.
Honestly he's the first one that I seen on the show who can fit in the vehicle to drive it.
There was a lady that drove also !!! Prayers up
Yeah, he fits into his vehicle, but his seatbelt is at the breaking point. 😆
He looks to be pretty tall. Relatively, 700 lbs on him isn't as impacting as 700 lbs on a short woman. Of course, both situations are just terrible to have to live through.
I feel bad for his wife and kids!
Chad stop saying hope! Only YOU have control over this! MAKE IT HAPPEN.
@@Jason_Blood sounds like you have some issues bro. I am old and have no qualms with saying it to a woman as well. Listen kid I have been fighting cancer for over a year. I have no respect for a man or a woman that is a manipulator. And I don't expect more then I would expect from myself. So yes, I will defend his wife and kids.
@@Jason_Blood see my comments. I'm a woman. Xx
@@Jason_Blood bro is speaking fact 💪🏽🔥
@@Jason_Blood cant lie even as a dude.... even i can see that Chad is the problem here lol . In this case bro needs to create change lol. no way homie shoving 10,000 calories into his mouth and saying he dont believe he 701 pounds.
@@JT-wq9gz how are you going to make up an imaginary scenario that the original commenter never even said, lol, you just had this comment locked and loaded waiting for a comment from a woman.
This man's weight is his fault, a consequence of his actions, and it's up to him to lose it. It would be equally true if it were a woman
I know he becomes verbally abusive when she restricts him.
His poor wife and children. You can't sit there and say you want to change while continuing to shove 10,000 calories worth of food in your mouth and making your young children take care of you. I really hope he improved his health.
😅
Agree with you💯
Right? Even SIMPLE SMALL changes. Get out of the truck and be at the park. Walk the 50 steps that you can manage, then sit down if you have to. You'll be with your kids, you WONT be closet eating McDonald's to soothe the sadness over NOT being with them, and tomorrow... you'll be able to walk 55 steps.
🪄 Addiction be gone!
If u not his size do not speak on this
The saddest fact is only 5% of bariatric patients actually keep the weight off long term. I was told that when I looked into it myself. I'm down over 150 pounds and by September will be a healthy weight having lost over 200 WITHOUT SURGERY
Way to go Sunrise!!!
I lost 143 pounds 20 years ago and have kept it off.
@@traceyj2765 Thank you!
@@sandradavis-abby107great to hear 🙏
That's actually an incorrect statistic I have no idea where u came up with that percentage lol it's actually heavily dependent on specific px, but for RYGB specifically, it's 40% over 12 years post-op (also specifically referring to at least =>30% weight loss as well, as it's misleading to say kept "the weight off", how much weight could mean a number of things to diff patients). It is significantly lower overtime but 40% over 12 years is actually a pretty decent number statistically speaking as far as one could realistically expect clinically, there are myriad factors that can affect the success rate, most of which are In the hands of the patient and a matter of lifestyle, but there are also factors beyond their control that can affect the long-term success so to speak of the surgery. Surgery is just a tool and it’s a necessary and needed tool for many people in order to perform the surgery in the first place in any situation, the benefits have to outweigh the risks, which are not insignificant in the slightest when we’re talking about a person with tremendous risk for surgical complications. General anesthesia complications, and typically multiple comorbid DX in addition to their obesity.
I find it remarkable how someone is willing to completely uproot their life and move to a different location to see a doctor, when really all the doctor is going to do is to tell them to eat less frequently, and to eat healthier, sure they are going to be doing a medical procedure but ultimately he has put himself into this position.
Yes but losing weight Is also a mental battle. Without adequate help from perfessionals some people will never be able to motivate themselves enough to change
There seems to be a lot of drama from him for sympathy. He is waited on, hand and foot by a ten year old! His wife cooks him large platefuls of greasy, fried food and that's called enabling.
The guilt after eating is relatable
What a wonderful wife he has and such beautiful kids. I hope he gets his act together cuz he's never going to find a woman like her again. I she's reading this, I'm sending you big hugs sweetheart. You are a wonderful woman.
My thoughts exactly. He is so lucky to have her as a partner, and his kids are angels
this episode is a few years old. he lost a lot of weight, and even had skin removal on several parts of his body because the weight loss made them sog too much. He's was a very successful story
@@cincomilarboles that’s great to read, i’m so happy for him & his family!
He did... He's doing awesome.lost 400 lbs
I feel bad for the mother and kids. How does eating all that food not make him physically sick 🤢
it’s crazy isn’t it? It makes me physically sick just looking at it not because the person is fat. I’m just saying because of the sheer amount of food they’re consuming I feel sick. I can’t imagine eating that much even one time I would pay a heavy price for it, and, the discomfort alone, and the prospect of that discomfort would prevent me from gorging myself to that extent as it would most people, but these people have stretched their stomach to such an extreme. It’s able to contain so much more food than it’s supposed to be able to. your stomach is, and you’ve probably heard this before but it’s about the size of your fist. That’s not very big in my case it’s probably about the size of a baseball, so eating more than a baseball size portion of food, for myself personally would result in me being uncomfortably full, that’s why surgery to reduce the size of their stomach and limit its contents is a tool. It’s obviously just a tool but an effective one nonetheless to prohibit them from eating such huge quantities of food. I mean their gastrointestinal tract has to be screaming in distress from the esophagus on down all that extra weight and all of that extra food consumption that the body doesn’t need can cause a whole chain reaction of uncomfortable symptoms from acid reflux to gastritis to constipation/bowel obstructions to diarrhea. I mean you get the idea I think most of us know what it feels like if maybe on a holiday say Thanksgiving, or some thing we overindulgent little bit, and, we feel like shit the next day or immediately there after too much carbs too much sugar too much heavy food and a person will be swollen inflamed. Feel like you gain 10 pounds overnight lol it’s uncomfortable but to these people it’s a compulsion it’s an addiction. It’s just a habit they have become so accustomed to it.
There’s a lot of love in this family, I hope he wins his personal battle.
He did! Lost 400 lbs and him and the family are doing great 😁
Stop stuffing food in your mouth and put your family first.😢
What do you know?
Funny how he says - let see what he (the doctor) can do! He doesn’t get it that he is the one that will have to do it! I do not get it that he still is able to move around with all this weight!
Absolutely!!! None of them get it. They think the surgery is just gonna make the weight disappear. Delusional
They expect Dr.Now to wave a magic wand 🪄 and then everything will be ok.
First person ive seen on here thats admits to toxic behavior to his family if they don't feed him

I kinda want one of tbem donuts low key tho
I feel so sorry for his wife and those poor children😢
It could also be particularly hard for the boy (I mean because he has autism and for some autistic people some changes can be particularly hard, or very very hard, or extremwly hard) (Of course it's hard and horrible for all of them, and of course the biggest victims are the animals he eats and eats excretions from.)
luckily he managed to lose hundreds of pounds and get back to working! the last we saw of him on the show, he was happy with his wife and actually able to be out and about with his kids, so good on him for turning it around for them.
Their 10 yr old is frying up chicken?? I can't even successfully fry chicken! lol
Mom needs to speak at a TedTalks. Her topic is how to hold it down when sh*it's fckd up.
Pretty normal to teach kids that age and younger how to cook.
Don’t feed him! He can’t get up.
How do you know?

It sucks when your stuck in a relationship with no way out
Just stop giving him junk food, give him salad.
He can't even stand up so he has to eat anything you give him, no choice.
His beautiful family should be enough motivation!
You can do it so you can play outside with your little girl!
This guy seems like he does not care about anything but eating! What's more important, family or food?
He literally explains how not being able to do everyday things with his family is destroying him and that's why he's taken this step to get the help he needs to change. He has an addiction. Read up xx
It's amazing how some women stick by their spouse through literally thick and thin.
This guy is a burden to his family and I don't know how he lives with himself. His excuses make me gag.
It makes me cry to see people slowly commit suide by food.
Noone should use food as a crutch to go through life. I'm glad he finally sought help.
Addiction is an addiction.. Only you can help yourself first.
I hate when i hear ,Im addicted to food.
Salat and friut are foods too but its funny no one ever says that their addicted to salads......
Hahaha that's a good one. I work in the psychology field and told patients something similar when they tell me they are addicted to food. I would usually take out a poster of the food pyramid and ask what it looks like to them.😅
You CAN Do It, Chad. You'll feel so much better. Best wishes. ❤
This is so sad for his family and I hope it gets the help and do what he needs to do to lose the weight!!! Praying for him..🙏🙏😥😥 wife and kids

God bless his soul and also of the one reading this reply
So glad he lost weight and still has his family ❤
Its nice that they consider him the father and not just some step dad
Yea, obviously not his beagle pups
I just don't get how your kids and wife don't motivate you. I had a sed rate of 70 was ridden with blood clots due to autoimmune diseases and I walked and pushed and fought than found out I had extensive pulmonary embolisms and still work out walk 10,000 steps a day and do everything a single mom does for my two boys bc my kids motivate me to keep pushing and never give up. Life is too short and while your here put your kids first before us as parents. Food yes an addiction but get help before you hit 700+
He ended up losing close to 400 pounds.
Amazing! I knew he really wanted to get through and out of the addiction! Thanks for letting us know x
I love Dr. Now. He tells the truth, and these patients get mad because they know how they are. Sidenote: I’m proud of the progress Chad made over the years. God bless him and his family 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
All I hear is, "this is my last hope." No, you're your last hope. No one but you put you where you are now.
Only he can change his eating habits. He got himself in there he can get himself out.
Couldn't agree more
Wow imagine driving across a couple states and loading the smallest U-Haul the rent out being the hardest thing u have done in ur whole life!!? Wtf that can't be.
Damn, Al McWhiggin from Toy Story really let himself go 💀
I can’t comprehend that they let it get to this point. They have a mirror. They see how they are turning into monsters. They can’t move. But still… they keep on eating and treating everybody around as their slaves. Very selfish.
1:39 I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess that’s McDoyle’s
😂😂😂right
It's an addiction. The ignorant, stupid comments from some ppl here just show that they know FA about addiction and how it manifests. He seems like he is ready to really face his addiction, the root cause, and start to rebuild himself. I really hope he made it. They seem like such a lovely family. To anyone facing addiction, there is help out there. The first step is acknowledging you are powerless against the addiction and that it takes hard work to get sober & stay clean. However, with the right support, and motivation, it can be accomplished. Sending him (& and anyone else reading this) struggling so miserably lots of hope and love ❤
Aye, Fair-ShoutS...👍. Easy to judge others when haven't been in the person's situation eh
We do know we’ve just had it with addicts.
The addiction excuse is defeatist behavior used to prolong laziness and manipulation. I used opioids for a few years and went through the rehab circuit multiple times and saw just an endless rotation of low lives who used the words "addiction" and "disease" to justify their bad behavior for 20 plus years. I decided one day I didn't want to be a loser and guess what I stopped and anyone else can as well! Hè is a fat gluttonous pig and the quicker he accepts that the quicker he can stop living in denial and actually be a father to his children. I have ZERO sympathy for this kind of behavior.
No it's not. I was extremely morbidly obese too. Had to use a walker in my 40s. It was due to my daily choices and U decided I could do better. I've lost over 150 pounds without surgery and by September will have lost over 20p without doing anything drastic. Daily choices get people into trouble and can get them back out.
@Surprise Me so don't watch then? Nobody forces you to. What a charmed life you must have. I really hope and pray nobody in your life becomes victim to addiction and looks to you for help.
One day you need to be there to walk your daughter down the isle and have a father daughter dance mate!!! Shit is hard but you gotta push through and there is light at the end of the tunnel
Sometimes I'm so confused with some of these folks on 600 pound life. Because they say they can't do this and they can't do that but they muscled up the energy to go to the grocery store to buy food? It just doesn't make any sense to me if you can muscle up the energy to go to the grocery or to a fast food drive-thru why can't you muscle up the energy to take care of yourself all you have to do is start somewhere the little steps become bigger steps but you have to start. My mom used to always tell me I can't do it means I won't do it, in a lot of people on this show are a prime example of that! Just do better start just start by implementing Little things
"muscle up the energy" lol
First thing is stop going to McDonald's!
What's wrong with that?
This is the prime example of a man saying his feelings and guess what everyone cry’s 😢
This is what a severe mental health illness can look like, so stop bashing the dad for not doing his best. His intentions are well, your ignorance is not.
No..his daily choices added up and he'll need to make better ones to get out of this. It's just that simple
Totally agree. The abuse and stupidity of some people commenting shows a frightening lack of basic human empathy not to mention basic understanding of addiction.
He found a wife and I can’t find a gf………
You won't find one watching UA-cam videos all day.
He seems like a really loving guy, having a really hard time fighting an addiction. Its not luck that he has a wife and children. He's clearly a loving human. Being obese doesn't negate someone's personality. Maybe you should focus on your inner world, rather than judging people on their looks. Trust me,, us women can see through that a mile away.
Get out and start dating then…duh!
@@charlie_says3841 stop with that addiction garbage. It's not. He doesnt I swear the goofy extremes to give everything an excuse rather than expect people to even TRY to take any personal responsibility is almost as danger as street drugs.

So why is she making him all this fatty food ? Enabler
What a beautiful, amazing Wife you are. I was heartfelt by your so special self you are gorgeous Lady and what you do omg.
Saying "I want to change" while enjoying those foods doesn't really show commitment, does it???
donuts, pepsi, fried chicken??? he is living the dream!!
She is a better woman than me... i couldn't put up with a lazy man and i love the gym and learning about health stuff so thats another thing that would not work for me... i pray he gets help for the wife and kids sake😪
That chicken looked really good. I would be 700 pounds too if i had someone cook like that for me lol
LOL
For those that don’t know he lost a lot of weight, he’s living a good life now, working as well. One of the most successful people on the show. Never made excuses
This was sadder than i thought! Secondly it nice to see one parent stick up for the kids on this show. The daughter should not have to be a maid!
Does anyone have the link to the full episode?
I try to gain like 5 lbs and it’s near impossible for me. Crazy how different peoples bodies can be
I want to change...as he eats fried chicken...French fries...multiple pepsis...cream pie...
Why feel guilty??! You continue to eat enough calories for a family of four & you haven’t changed 1 thing! 🙄
Going by his size and others we have seen on the show he's incredibly mobile and is complaining very little (how much must it hurt to move around that much weight) however I don't know if the kids are enough if motivation to change, it's not like the kids weren't there when he gained the weight
Praying for this family IJN 🙏🏻
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING, NO KIDS AND NO WIFE in a truck. That is the key, FAST FOOD! Run run run! 1:34
I never take for granted the time my son and i workout together. Doing mma And go hiking and doing fun things together
this is child abuse.
Why would you give him basically an entire fried chicken? All of the people in this show are enablers big time! Plus look at the amount of potatoes!
Find out what the Dr. can do??🙄 Geez! What about what YOU can do?
SOoo Hard!!! But...
No sugar...No carbs...less fat...Lots of veggies...Move!!!
Easily said..HARD to do. Go get 'em Champ!!!
To get started, all he would have to do is change from fried everything to baked everything. There are lots of ways to pull back from 10k calories a day.
Her fear when he realized she ate the other donut😮
If you don't eat more than you can carry in one hand then you will lose weight. And no bags etc. don't count.
I would feel ashamed if I had to get a kid to do things for me, that's terrible 😞
Why for they show a Lane Bryant commercial?😂
Bruh poor kids
The wife needs to stop giving him all that fried food to start
Them is not his kids
I can tell you that I feel disheartened when these people don't make any progress,it saddens me,what a disappointment.
I rarely have sympathy for the people on this show, but this is sad.
He don't know how big luck he have to eat so much donuts, i wish I've could be him.
Poor wife and kids
Do not buy him donuts
It is sad to see any addict lean so heavily on their family for support-while they continue in active addiction as well as having have the family prepare the drug of choice.. The wife and children in this situation have forgone a normal life to care for this man; while he continues to eat and throw tantrums 😢
Only in America...
He could have at least walked to the donuts. Damn.
Well, yeah...!
When did you realize?
Wow! This much for the family
For real, I feel so bad he goes thru that and the only family! but he has done this to himself and should change 4 the better of him and his family...
my question is ppl are dying from hunger if he is not working then how can they manage to eat so much with out money
It's not a habit to stop, and order take out even when you are not hungry, it's boredom. Start changing your mentality, so you can start changing your physical appearance. Switch up your routine to break those "habits." Most important, ask for help. Seek support groups to help you keep on track. Don't let the weight be an excuse or reason to hold you down. You really want this, you got this!! I'm rooting for you. I hope I can one day say "wow look at him doing his thing.'
bro found out how to make slavery legal 🤣
I don't understand uprooting your entire life and moving, to not eat the doughnut. They could just stay there and he not eat the doughnut. This doesn't make sense.
Who fixes the food? Her and my daughter… with that stupid smug little smile. He enjoys life that way otherwise it would have never gotten this far.
His wife should have taken the kids and left until he truly committed himself, lost a lot of weight got into much better shape.
