So you get help long before you get to this wt, especially when you’re ruining your kids lives. It makes me so angry to see this, when I have had debilitating chronic pain from 2 different diseases for the last 39 yrs, for which there is no cure. I have endured multiple excruciating surgeries, procedures, implants, you name it, and it only gets worse. I wish I had something that I could fix with hard work. I would trade places with them in a heartbeat.

People think that normal sized people don’t love food. When really the case is they just tell themselves NO. People make choices and not everyone likes the consequences so they come up with 100 excuses. These over eaters are the most self centered people on the planet, I say that because they pull others into their behavior and it’s all on them to stop the insanity.

I was an addict & I agree with you 100%. It can be fixed with hard work, unlike chronic pain and diseases. Ive never considered addiction a disease, only time I hear that is as an excuse for being "powerless" despite making the conscious decision to abuse drugs, overeat or whatever.

I believe that's what makes alcohol harder to tackle in some ways too.
Fortunately alcohol has never really been my poison of choice but i suffer its consequences like everyone else simply bcz it's so integrated into our social lives & almost always readily available. My daughter was injured by a drunk driver so I'm sure the reasons for my attitude will be obvious. (She's OK now)
I don't know about The States but in Australia- until the last decade or two- it was like we always had an overall pro alcohol situation where if you didn't drink you'd find yourself being called a "wowser"
(meaning you're a party pooper essentially).
Of course the peer pressure on men was probably much worse than for young "ladies" but that changed in the 1960s.
I got to the point where I just didn't want to go to social events, even family gatherings, bcz there'd often be a guarantee there's always that one person who drinks too much & says or does some damned thing that ruins everyone else's day/night.
I'm so glad awareness of the dangers of booze are now a priority for a lot of governments worldwide, even if it is simply bcz they know it will save money in the long term.
Especially when it comes to consumption during pregnancy.

Anyway, she did manage to lose some weight. But she already robbed her son Dillon of the life he was supposed to have been living. It's like he's joined at the hip. I wonder if their quality of life has improved any. And yes, Dillon has been enabling her. _(9/8/2023)_

This aired in 2015, I believe. It's season #3. As of now 2023, Pauline's down to the mid 200's. But she put her son through an additional 5 years of her weight going up and down, up and down, and skin surgeries and recovery and she even had a period of pain med addiction followed by detox. She put her son through that chaos of living with a drug addict too, on top of what ended up being 11+ years of his life stolen by her selfishness. No idea what's up with the son in 2023, but last time he was on tv with Pauline he was extremely overweight himself. At least +100 lbs heavier than depicted in this video. Hope this reply was helpful! ❤

As a carb and sugar lover, I can relate to how much they love fast food and unhealthy snacks. I gained from 65kg to 87.5kg during 2019-2023 Aug. As a 165cm Asian female, I am overweighted. On Aug 14, I decided to seriously lose weight because I want to have baby in the next 2-3 years. I barely eat any carbs and quit all the snacks and drinks for my first week, lost 4.6kg. Within 2month, I lost 12kg. As of today, I am still 75.2kg but I no longer crave for food especially fast food. Changing eating habit is the most important thing for losing weight. It is not as hard as we thought and the result is quite encouraging. I will keep going and hope people who want to lose weight will join me to this healthy journey ❤

Carbs and seed oils are the problem. Seed oil was designed for lubricating machines, sealing wood and as a cheap lamp oil. Then they convinced us it was actually food.
Grass, grains and processed sugar have only been in the human diet for a blink in human history. Yet the Adventist cult food industry tells us that should be the base of our diet. There is no such thing as a healthy whole grain. It all turns to sugar in the body.

I have to agree with building the habit first before anything. Losing weight is a mental game and on some days, motivation isn’t enough. You have to completely change the way you think and function through good habits. Good luck! Don’t lose the weight too fast. Also, if you find that your weight loss plateaus, eat carbs again for a few weeks before going back to low carb (women respond really well to low carb diets but it messes up our hormones. this might also be significant if you want to have a baby)

Her son shouldn’t be in the position of being a carer as a boy. ‘I can’t get healthy options on the road’, she never eats healthy options. I don’t understand. I haven’t been able to eat because of surgery for disease - I had to stop eating and can only have hospital formula rdrinks. I haven’t eaten for 7 years so I can’t really bear the moaning about it. @dianem7677 more like I’m out in the Amish country in the middle of no where, my step mom is in the military and has ran after me when I tried running from home and dragged me back to the house, I called police and they didn’t do anything about it, CPS and police only go to our front door, talk to my parents then leave, and even when I stay at a friends or family’s house they classify me as a missing person then even pressed charges on my older cousin for “kidnapping”. So I’m trapped. And they take all my money so I can’t afford shit. Call me weak or whatever but I cant, quite literally, do anything. The closest grocery store and gas station is a 30 minute drive. Also they have cameras all over the house. If I say I feel trapped it’s probably bc I am.

@dianem7677you have no idea about the situation. We moved to a place far away from family, they scared off my friends, they refuse to let me get my license, when I tried getting a job they said they won’t drive me, they sold my bike, they threaten to kick me out and so much more I won’t discuss on the internet. It’s not just about mentality and saying “No means no!” To people that are stronger than you and have everything to keep you from freedom. CPS and police were called numerous times but they’d talk to my parents then leave, not even check up on me. I’m weak financially and physically. But I literally can’t do anything about it. I’m currently trying to attend a nearby college so I can walk to it bc I know they’d use driving as a way to control me. “I’ll drive you if you do this” kind of thing. So I’m just gonna do my own thing and try my best with what I have.

"Drinkie" "Ouchie"? "Possibly ruin my son's life"? She needs more help than even Dr. Now can give her. Institutionalization, perhaps.

It made me so mad when she talked about "no other solution than fast food on the road" yes there are, vegetable sticks, homemade salads, whole fruits, pasta salad even... Its not that she couldn't, it's that she didn't want to.

So sad. If you really look at her face she's a natural, freckle-faced beauty. And yet ... this.

Right??? I hate when pretty looking people are this fat. It's like the easiest thing you can do to be beautiful and it's just to do literally nothing (not eat) :D The things I need to do to even look OKAY and these people have it so easy...

For everyone coming down on her, you're absolutely right, and you need to understand that addictions are not logical. You can't reason your way out of an addiction. You have to heal the emotional part first. Humans are irrational, emotional creatures first and foremost. Logic is a tool to help guide us, but emotions are our reason for being.
