I love how you utilize the space! I’m a watercolor artist so my workspace is usually on my bed or I pull out a folding table in my bedroom. I would love to paint in my sunroom but I have 5 kids and it can get chaotic! One day I hope to have a little art studio built on our property. But for now I just love that I get to paint wherever it may be! I think it’s important for people to know they can make art whatever space they have! This video is great for that! 😊
Hi Raeanna! I totally get the potential for chaos with an art studio in the midst of children. My son is grown, so I'm over those days now :) The key is that you've found a way to keep creating art. For a long time, I just drew in a sketchbook in bed at night. We just need to keep creating no matter what! Thank you for your comments.
What an awesome creative space. Newly "retired", my husband and I live in a tiny house/shed-to-house conversion in the NW Montana wilderness. We just built on an oversized bathroom/utility room (10' x 24') where my studio (as well as my hubby's fly tying workspace) now resides. I have a 6' folding table that sits under a window with a forest view. It's not much by most artists standards, but I'm in heaven and overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you for sharing your space!
Hi Deborah, this space sounds AMAZING!! I would love to see it. You should upload a video of your space to UA-cam. Let me know if you do so I can watch it. You sure get it. The focus on gratitude for what we have instead of what we don't have is the key, isn't it? :)
I’m in the Mastery Program now. I’m loving it. PS. I’m 63. 🤪 My studio is a 9x13 room built into the corner of my garage. Not huge but not so tiny either. I absolutely love it.
Hi Gayla! I'm so excited for you. Keep me posted on how you're doing. Let me know if you post your work on social media. I would love to see it. It sounds like we have a lot in common with our art studio space. Keep going! Never stop. :)
Thank you, Brenda! It’s such an odd experience to have a concept in my mind of something I want to paint and then see the completed work. It’s always different than what I had in my mind but in an interesting way. I really appreciate your compliment. I would imagine iguana paintings aren’t for everyone. lol 💛
Mosquito problem I saw a woman recently online attached a fake dragonfly to her hat. According to her, it kept the mosquitoes away. Get a couple of fake dragonflies and attach them to the ceiling with thumbtacks and string around your work area or possibly the door to the garage. Hope this helps.😊
I do. I use a space heater at my feet that works really well. I'm in Florida, so our cold weather in the winter is in the forties, especially in the morning when I'm painting. :)
I feel embarrassed that I thought my art studio space was too small. I have my space in 1/2 of my apartment living room. You are brilliant to use the space you have so well!!!
Hey, Art chick! Never be embarrassed about how you live in your own home. It's all about YOU. Live and get more creative in your own space, however you want it to be!
Hi Chris, I hang some of them throughout my house until they are dry, then store them in a closet or leave them hanging. I actually paint much more on archival paper. I enjoy it, and it's easier to store. I use pants hangers and clip multiple archival paintings on one hanger (depending on size) and hang them in the closet. Then, I cross my fingers and hope my originals sell so I can make room for more lol.
You make a great point. I'm from Wisconsin, and this wouldn't work there year-round. Even in Florida, I use a space heater to paint in the garage in the winter. We get down in the forties in the winter months. :)

So great to see you using your small space so efficiently. Also delightful that you have a hubby that supports you so much.
Thank you for your nice comments. He is a great guy, 38 years of marriage :) never better.

Thank you! So many "art studio" tour videos are of ikea units for paper crafts. This is helpful 😊
You're welcome, Rebecca. I am so happy to hear it was helpful. When there is the will, there is always a way to be found :) Best Wishes
Woow I am from Florida too😊😃Ocala!
It's a beautiful place to live.
Yes it is😊

Milan’s are Awesome!!!
They truly are. I loved going through the program. Have you had a chance to drive down and check out their art gallery in Sarasota yet?
Awesome studio tour❤️
Thank you, Marisa! I really appreciate your nice comments.

Impressed and helpful tips ❤ thank you
Thank you! I’m so happy it was helpful. Wishing you the best with your studio space.
Do you have heating in your garage for fall and winter?
I do. I use a space heater at my feet that works really well. I'm in Florida, so our cold weather in the winter is in the forties, especially in the morning when I'm painting. :)
Great video and superb art studio. Thank you for sharing your space.
You are so welcome. I make it work. 👍😊

Well, I hope you feel better now. Any space dedicated to creating is better than none. Keeping creating art!

@@cynthiawhite4392 I agree!
Ive got a tiny table on the end of my kitchen cupboard with a wall the other side and im facing a wall. Im saving up to have a summer house next year
It's something for now. Congratulations on making it work regardless of space :)
Dr Seuss❤️
I'm a huge fan of Dr. Seuss! Do you like him?
How do you store your canvas/surfaces? Where do you store finished work?

@@lisaalexgrayartist I like that idea.
@@chrishayes4195 :)
This is a great solution as long as you don’t live somewhere where we have winter. Otherwise all of your paint supplies would freeze solid.

Oh my brother loves sock monkeys😆
They have a special place in my heart 🐒🐵
Woo hoo! Air conditioner :D
You’re so funny. Yes, just in time for cooler weather. I almost turned on my space heater this morning. It was cold in the garage. 🥶❄️
Alice in wonderland❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite books of all time! 🐰🐰🐰
i had a tiny space work for me
That’s awesome! Go tiny art spaces! 😊✨✨
Are you in Milan Art program?
I was. I graduated in September.
