May as well repeat the question from my last remaster, what’s your favorite version of the Under Cover of Night track? Anything change since Infinite came out? :P Behind the scenes waveform play-through: ua-cam.com/video/KoQmVRT-Bfo/v-deo.htmlsi=OlRxkFjxe7cXG4Ku Here’s the SoundCloud link for this mix: soundcloud.app.goo.gl/rE242XXGRAr94X9c9 The thumbnail is an Infinite concept art (can’t find the original Waypoint article, but the content link still works): content.halocdn.com/media/Default/community/blogs/halo-infinite-e3-2018-concept-4k-ac85a7187a3243c8bcf3cda3a65f9afa.jpg
Under cover of Night, I’ve always loved this piece ever since I first heard it. I love how you bring all of the halo games together in this magnificent mashup.
I’ve definitely considered doing something with the Halo theme / warthog run, but I’ve avoided it because I know it would turn into a massive project. There’s so many good versions of the theme, that I don’t know where I would draw the line to include them.
This OST slams ! Currently one of my most favorite remixes out there! :D Listening to it so much that every time I hear one of the tracks in thier original form, I am dissapointed with the lack of the shifting XD. Keep up the amazing work Josh ! :D
Overall, I loved it! Gameplay-wise, there are some gripes I have with it (lack of set pieces, environment diversity, and individual level replay value being my main examples), but I had a blast going through it and completing all the side objectives. The open world setting has a lot of potential that I hope 343 capitalizes on a bit better in future story expansions.
How do you mean? If you mean the original track by itself, I didn’t feel it was necessary for this mix. It and the anniversary version line up (musically) very well so for all the parts that include the original, I kept the anniversary version overlaid.
Are you using audacity? The quality of your work is incredible. I am using audacity to remix GTA 5's soundtrack for a mod and I must say your music far surpasses even official releases by marty.
Thanks man! Appreciate the kind words! :D Yes I do use Audacity! In terms of the actual audio quality, I (nowadays) try to use the in-game versions of the soundtrack as much as possible (they’re typically not as compressed as OST versions). As for actual mixing, I’ve been meaning to do behind-the-scenes Audacity timeline views for my videos, but I keep putting it off (if I ever get to it, I’ll shoot a link here). Anyway, good luck with your own stuff!

My favourite will always be the original.
Infinite won me over, but the original is a close second to me.

Thanks a lot man!
Original because of two betrayals
There's something about the way people remix this song. It's so iconic. Absolutely wonderful job, I love how the second half changes
Under cover of Night, I’ve always loved this piece ever since I first heard it. I love how you bring all of the halo games together in this magnificent mashup.
It felt so good to here this in Halo again.
The beginning is Master Chief's finale theme, his wild west confrontation music, walking up to the showdown having survived what no one else could
I see it as the unsc's, earth's, last stand. One final effort. One final effort to save the world.
Awesome - been waiting for this! Under Cover of Night has to be one of my favourite tracks from all of Halo, so glad it came back in Infinite
This and the second prelude were my favorite remixes of Halo infinite
"If only we had more time."
Mmmm, the brief interlude at 3:50 is just so darn quaint. Awesome ending!
4:47 I LOVE THIS
No wait, the road + warthog run! Genius!
I’ve definitely considered doing something with the Halo theme / warthog run, but I’ve avoided it because I know it would turn into a massive project. There’s so many good versions of the theme, that I don’t know where I would draw the line to include them.
“It’s been 65 years”
Wake me, when you need me…
Been a long time since i’ve heard a halo mix this good! Keep em coming.

You did an amazing job :) Making yet another halo fan emotional
You take these amazing sounds and make them even better...
...I love these remixes of yours so much, Josh. Nobody can quite capture Halo like you do
Great mix.
Thank you and welcome back.
May 343 industries hire you .......Loved your masterpiece
Nice bro...
Regards from México
I love this
Dude, holy shit this is awesome.
I love your work, Josh
The king is BACC
This is awesomee!!!!
This ost since Halo 1 represrnts Halo to me, great remix
Heyyy good stuff!
they need to use your music in the next halo game
Can u do one for covenant dance that's also a master piece.
There isn’t a whole lot I could do for Covenant Dance. I could look and see if any of it matches well with the new Hunters Dance?
For the algorithm.
The algorithm is pleased!
Oh ohhh you should make a mini-mix of halo 2 and halo 2a, about menace, and menace no more 2/2.
I have thought about doing something with the Menace tracks, but haven’t really tried anything yet. Would need to see how much there is to work with.
Could you try Covenant Dance? With Spv3’s and Helioskull’s version?
Do one on "perchance to dream" from halo combat evolved
Oh boy, do I have good news for you!

@@josh11735 thanks I am suprised you already have this. I've been looking for something like this
Did you like the campaign ?
Overall, I loved it!

Beautiful mix man. Keep up the great work.
I'd emphasize on doing a centric extended version of the start (the one from H3).
Unfortunately there aren’t many pieces to work with for that part. The most it could be extended by is one section.
@@josh11735 :( Then i'd recommend putting that section in an extended looped mix ;P
Idea of a mash up
I was waiting the old chorus from 2001 ost :(

@@josh11735 i mean.
the "african" chant it hears in the 2001 under cover of night.
sounds with more presence that the remake
@@eroglez3227 you mean Marty’s vocals
@@skelesidiantherevenger was him???!!!
That "yawa dada eee eooo"
Was made by him!!!??
@@eroglez3227 yeah if you watch Marty’s inception for UCoN, he was the one who did those vocals.
Reach and the battle of sanghlios... idk how to spell it
I’ve always felt that the Sanghelios tracks had a very Reach feel to them. Might take a look! :)
🔥👂🏾🔥👂🏾🔥👂🏾🔥👂🏾🔥👂🏾🔥👂🏾😱👏😩
Where the fuck is this 343!? Damn.
To be fair to them, the Infinite version (Under Cover) is really good in its own right :P
