If you don't mind heavier stuff either, look up Ju on bandcamp and listen to his Eoli album. The first two tracks are all you need to hook you in. Love his stuff, listen to Chroma after Eoli and then Contrast.
Ahhhhh man!!! Loved the way Infinite uses post rock to set the tone of sitting down and waiting for your next match with your friends. The tracks feel chill but badass at the same time. I think using this genre is gonna differentiate Infinite form other mainstream FPS's like CoD or BF.

I'm glad rock is returning to Halo, but I do appreciate what Kazuma and Neil did in terms of soundtracks. 117 is easily one of the best music pieces in the franchise and personally my second favorite after the Halo theme.

Factual but gotta say halo 4 and 5 did have its moments when it came to music like 117 or the light is green really set the atmosphere beautifully but after that it kind of flat lined

The goosebumps of thinking about the new generation of Spartans training and waiting to fight for humanity (probably against the banished) knowing that Infinity was destroyed and that they could be hunted down and killed at any time but then this music with it's glory, reminds me who is boss.

what i really love about this ost is the bass 808 synths, they act like this ethereal glue that amplifies the post rock sounds they incorporate and just allows the all of the halo sounds to quite literally fall into place
It's amazing how closely Synthwave and Post rock reside to one another, combining them makes for the ultimately sci-fi experience..... this is still one of the best fucking tracks I've heard in decades, I've been playing for almost 100 hours and I still find myself just jamming to the track in the menus... it's too fucking good lol

I loved h4 soundtrack, 117, wreckage and the light is green are tracks that I'll hold forever in my heart, these new composers that are working on infinite are incredible too, it doesn't matter which halo you play, is guaranteed that the music will be absolutely incredible. Probably infinite will have my favorite soundtrack, these pieces sound really dark/tragic like h4 and h5 but they also sound hopeful, which imo sums up masterchiefs story pretty well at this point, I'm so excited for this game omg

@@Drafnyr yeah bud there's such a steady flow to it that manages to focus you and hype you up at the same time which is no easy thing to pull off with music composition. It feels futuristic and grounded in our time all at once and is a beautiful combination of that classic military sound we know from other FPS titles and still having that Halo feeling to it. Everything about this game (minus the bs progressions system and microtransactions shit pile) is what Halo is all about and it feels so damn good to have it back again!

I played this game since launch and this music is ingrained into my mind. On Thanksgiving and winter break I would play this game for hours on end and this music was there a long side me after every win and loss. It feels nastolgic I've though it's only been a year.

Post rock isn't entirely new to Halo. There's a bit of it in Halo 2's and Halo Reach's OST I believe. Good to see it make a return tho.

Neil Davidge only composed like 3 tracks in Halo 4, Kazuma Jinnouchi did the rest in 4 and 5.

I played this game since launch and this music is ingrained into my mind. On Thanksgiving and winter break I would play this game for hours on end and this music was there a long side me after every win and loss. It feels nastolgic I've though it's only been a year.
