Josh, you have some of the best remixes I have ever heard of for Halo. Could you do the Last Spartan and the Spartan Rises from Halo 2 and Halo 2 Anniversary? That song is really, really good, and a fusion would just be amazing. Thanks man
"Chief, still can't get the Commander. COMs are a mess, Pelicans are scattered. Best thing now, get some distance between us and the base. Brutes are gonna be looking for survivors."
This is *exactly* what I was hoping for! Sounds exactly like I imagined it would. Not many mixes achieve this level of satisfaction; they leave much to be desired, or have awkward sections. This is perfect. Thank you Josh :)
Thanks man! Always cool to hear that there’s people watching/listening from across the water! Also while making the medley itself is always fun, it’s just as fun to make it into its own thing through the name/art! :D
Finally, I've been searching so long for something like this! One of my favorite themes From Halo and it has every single one, Mombasa Suite, Moon Over Mombasa 1&2, and Out of Shadow! And it's only the good part! Thank you, thank you so much for making this!
HOLY FUCK YES, im so glad you are actually pinpointing every single multi-track of the trilogy and unifying all of them! (Ik i said this before lol but i got excited because i thoight i was alone on listening to this certain track). Now shut up and take my money! Subscribed! haha
Thanks for checking my channel out! :) The outro music is the menu music for the original Halo: Online (alpha/beta). I uploaded the full version here: ua-cam.com/video/2HVQzAAUhkQ/v-deo.html
Great mix, great job, is there a way I can get the non-speed up version of this?, also it sounds a bit compressed in comparison with the og h2 mombasa suite, again, great job
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the mix! :) Unfortunately there isn’t a non-sped up version (at least not right now). Halo 3’s version of the track is ~5% faster than Halo 2’s version, so the best way to make them line up was to speed up Halo 2’s (slowing down H3’s caused more noticeable distortions). Currently the ‘least compressed’ version of the track is uploaded to SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/josh11735/fallen-walls-4 However, I should point out that this version is still not gonna be as clear as the OST since it’s comprised of already compressed MP3 tracks. If it helps, this mix is on my list of ones I intend to improve the quality of once I get the in-game versions of the H2A tracks (though the time table for that remains to be seen).
@@josh11735 thanks for your answer, I don´t know if it helps or not, but on this video ua-cam.com/video/5Na5xNgnxo4/v-deo.html the user Kaidon has uploaded in-game version of some of the H2A tracks that are not on the OST, if you decide to rework on this, maybe that would help, if not, well, you already did an excellent job on this, thanks, sorry for my english, it is not my main language
I’ve actually tried to get Covenant Dance to work in a mix a few times by this point with no real success. The theme is so unique that very few tracks (in any of the games) do anything similar to it. I suppose I could do a simple CE/CEA mix, but there’s already plenty of videos out there that have done just that. I’ll be keeping a lookout for a track that can fit with it, but until I find one, a potential mix is on hold...
Shnakepup On Drumrun, its percussion is quite cluttered (not in a bad way or anything), so getting it to work with another track would be iffy (I’d have to browse a bit and see if there are any good candidates). Opening Suite probably has a pretty good chance to match up with something different (and does have a few direct renditions), so I might give that one a look. On Leonidas, it’s moreso a spiritual successor than a remake or remix imo. I’ve tried several times to get it to cooperate with On a Pale Horse, but it turns out it requires more track distortion than I would like. Not only does it need to be key-shifted by several pitches, but its tempo is something < 30% faster than Pale Horse (so speed changes cause noticeable clipping). Furthermore, even if I could get those things to work, the way the two tracks progress through their melodies are quite different. Overall this is something I might continue to attempt every now and again, but as of now it seems unlikely to work (at least as well as I’d like). On Road to Voi / New Alexandria that also might be something to look into. I’ll keep that one in the back of my mind.

My pelicans are gonna star airlifting armor and reinforcements into the city; they’re gonna need an escort that isn’t afraid of a little hostile ground fire... Understood, I’ll keep an eye on em. Chief! Good luck!
Thanks! I decided to go with the overall faster speed because that’s the speed that the H3 version uses. Generally I find that working with sped up tracks is easier than working with slowed down ones because speeding up distorts the tracks in a less noticeable way (plus the mix is already pretty long with the faster speed). That said, I might eventually do an unlisted second version where I take the exported file and “undo” the speed up just for authenticity’s sake... :)
Thanks man! :) I considered doing a tutorial of some kind, but I don’t know what I’d exactly cover in it. I use really basic tools (mainly Audacity) so there’s not much to explain in terms of function.
@@christianbethel I try to give a basic description of the layout in the video description, but to expand on that, maybe I can do an example run-through of one of the mixes (showing the timeline view)?
