Split throttle would also be useful in dogfighting when you are pulling lots of AoA and the rudder and ailerons become unresponsive due to lack of airflow, you can split the throttle so you don't have to unload the aircraft, and still be able to yaw and roll, this is not modelled in war thunder, but it is in DCS, if you want to see it in action search "growling sidewinder split throttle"

It is amazing how the raptor only use 2D tvc with no split throttle but still able to perform flat spin or j-turn which requires a lot yaw authority at extreme AoA without thrust vectoring for yaw control.
Nice and informative video. I myself tried testing this when I learnt the concept of spiltting the throttle and while I found out that it helps with turn radius I decided that with the way wt controls are splitting the thottle would just increase the workload way too much over a slight gain in some situations. If it was possible to make something like a two engine control mode it could be something I could consider.
Differential thrust has been an essential part of my toolkit in the mig29 when it comes to dogfighting and I typically use it during rolling scissors to give me just a little more of an edge, and it works very well

Hoenstly I can't believe that War Thunder still doesn't allow you to use multiple throttles..... they should offer a left bank and right bank as well as a per engine throttle (I guess up to 10 just in case).

tbf the kvochur bell is an easy maneuver on many aircraft in wt, especially the ones that only have one rudder in most cases all it takes is - Medium-low speed - Going into full controls - Forcing the elevator all the way up (via keybind) - Rotating the rudder in towards the direction you wanna spin in - Rotating the ailerons in the opposite direction to the one you wanna spin in
I love that kind of aerobatic dogfighting, but WT reminded me something pilots say... that it has little use in an actual airfight, because the next plane passing will rip you apart... Other than that , knowing have to perform that kind of ...unexpected maneuvers may decide a 1v1 or 1v2 in the last phase of the match. I would recommend people learning how to perform it (especially if 2 people know how to fight like this the result is amazing...!) , just don't try it unless you are in the scenario that won't expose you to be third partied.
the kovurchur bell was preformed first by a su27 which deployed similar strategies, so its somwhat exagerated to say only thrust vectoring aircraft can preform these manuvers
Warthunder is not like DCS where all you have to do is just reduce the throttle on one engine. If you use a throttle quadrant with 2 throttles, you just pull back one throttle, if you use a keyboard, you just bind the left throttle to one pair of keys and the right throttle to the right throttle
This is one thing of warthunder that i find exiting that not many games has, planes with this quirks and mechanics can be used as an advantage, but not only they arent broken, its NOT recommended to do them but absolutely CAN turn a fight in your favor, sadly too few planes have them (drakken doing the cobra, the harrier viffing, the tomcat splitting throttles, all VTOLs stalling, etc) i cant think of any other game outside flight sims with this party tricks that do work in some scenarios
Unless using split throttle stays that overcomplicated like it is right now, where you have to select an engine to use the same throttle lever as the other engine, it makes no sense. I have a split throttle HOTAS but i cant use it in war thunder. that sucks

I know that it probably isn’t anything bad but I immediately assumed that it was going to result in pornography.

It's called a pedal turn or falling leaf not a flat spin. F/A-18 can do it too but not with it's nose as high as the F-22's.
@@yoyoyoyoshua the hornet one is not really a pedal turn, it is more of a very tight pirouette instead

That su-57 spin in SimplePlanes was kinda strange
you're so underrated your editing style and video quality is so great
no fucking way you used a frame from "strzelanie z karbidu" as an example of a "simple" gun lol, any Polish person instantly gained respect
For dogfighting I prefer Mig-29 cause its turn rate is the best and max allowed aoa is tremendous. Quite easy to outrun unstable f-16
I have seen some air acrobatic manoeuvre posters and the one you called "??" was actually just called an intentional flat spin
This is peak performance tips. I should get back to how to flare
if you do this mid game the first thing youll hear in chat is "quit your acting tom cruise or "youre not in top gun anymore tom cruise"

I had no idea you could even spilt the throttle in war thunder LOL let alone with props.
with all that in mind i wonder how the yak28 would perform seeing as how its engines are way out in the middle of each wing
I had a similar thought with the me262/SU-11
Super effective with the F-14 due to the wide engine placement
that intro sequence is orgasmic
When I last played War Thunder differential thrust didn't exist.

We need thrust vectoring
the relief i felt when i saw that you use a mouse😆
Maybe you shouldn't use the energy maneuverability theory as it was written by a reformer
thrust vectoring before the F-22 was invented
The SU-35, 37, 47 and others don't need thrust vectoring because they are already extremely maneuverable.
