Regrow Vegetables in Water

    We've saved this week's celery base, romaine lettuce end and green onion roots to see if they really will regrow in water. And the results only 3 days later...regrowth!
    To try at home, simply place the vegetable ends in a shallow dish of water. Keep the water fresh, and watch as they begin to regrow. 🔄♻️

    I did this but the water got gross

      Yes, by day 2 the water was murky and we had to freshen it. From what we’ve read, water needs to be topped off every few days! 💦

      ​@thefoodcycler the murkyness is the plants sending out their growth hormone into the water instead of the soil, it promotes growth to leave it in and just top off the water instead
