Check out our blog “The Science Behind FoodCycler: FoodCycler & Foodilizer Explained” on foodcycler.com
🍗 If meat and dairy are in the mix, go for a 1:20 ratio to keep that nitrogen in check.
🥦 For veggie-centric cycles, aim for a 1:10 ratio of Foodilizer to soil.
Reduce your food waste and nourish your soil with FoodCycler’s byproduct- Foodilizer! 🌿
How was the taste of powder along with milk?
The powder was fully filtered, for a smooth drink similar to tea. The milk completemented it nicely!
Aren’t date seeds poisonous?
From our research, they are non-toxic (but we recommend you do your own research and decide for yourself). www.foodrepublic.com/1337951/seeds-you-can-safely-eat-and-avoid/

That’s cool!
I'm not doing this to my muscle shells
What is this? Where do you get one from and how much is it
Since mid January, ALL of our food waste goes into our Eco 5 Food Cycler and back into enriching the soil. Previously some would go into landfill and most would be processed through our Insinkerator food waste disposer. Now it's all through our Eco 5 Food Cycler dehydrator.
Bought mine mid Jan 2024. Every claim made by the company is EXACTLY what our Eco 5 Food Cycler does. The machine goes about its job in relative silence over several hours. Sure some big pips like Mango will be heard being crushed & broken up from the very beginning. All soft waste is dehydrated very softly and easily. We generally put our Eco 5 to work late afternoon and by morning, it's carried out its job and the bucket is emptied into a large container. So easy, so much enjoyment seeing our food waste being used in a sensible manner, giving back to our garden for it to thrive.

DIY Coffee Hand Scrub 🫴 🧼 One of The FoodCycler's favourite kitchen scraps to cycle is used coffee grounds! ☕ But every once in a while, we like to save a cup and make a DIY Coffee Hand Scrub to keep by the kitchen sink. It leaves your skin smooth, moisturized, and washes away those stubborn food odors (like onions and garlic). 🧄🌿 Here's what you'll need: 1 cup used coffee grounds 1/3 cup coarse sea salt 1/3 cup coconut oil 1 Tbsp vanilla extract. Optional add-ins: 1/4 cup brown sugar, 5 drops of essential oil. Mix all these ingredients together, store in a sealed container, and enjoy the aromatic, skin-loving benefits! p.s. follow us for more eco-friendly ideas.💡
Let's turn kitchen scraps into pure holiday magic! 🎁✨ With orange peels, lemon peels, apple peels, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, fresh rosemary, and cranberries, we're crafting the perfect recipe for cozy vibes! Holiday cookies are all about that fresh-baked goodness, right? No one wants to nibble on stale treats! 🙅♀️ So, here's a simple kitchen hack to keep your cookies soft and delicious, and to prevent food waste! 💡 For cookies you want to stay soft and chewy, stash them in a sealed container with a SLICE of white bread. 🍞 The bread magically keeps them perfectly tender! 🤯 Got cookies destined for the freezer? ❄️ Pop them into an airtight container to avoid pesky freezer burn. No one likes icy, tasteless cookies, right? 😋 For both options, layer parchment or wax paper in between to prevent any sticking situations! 🍪 Say goodbye to throwing out stale cookies and hello to enjoying your homemade treats all season long! 🎄💫
