Frampton wasn't that big of a deal before this live album. In fact, he may be one of the only artists who basically ONLY charted with a live album, because he put such a crazy good show on (and blew people's minds with that damn talkbox). Honestly, if you've heard his studio albums, the production really robs them of the energy his live albums have. A modern band who uses the talkbox quite a bit is Chromeo, a dance-pop duo out of Montreal. Their keyboardist is the one who uses it, and I'd say one of the best illustrations of it is their performance with Darryl Hall (yeah, that one) covering Hall and Oates' "No Can Do" at Darryl's home studio.
Everyone had this album in 1976
