Not sure where you got your information but not true. A Bengal is like a 2 year old kid. My Theodore (16 month old Bengal) started his terrible 2’s at 6 months old. But that stopped quickly. I didn’t allow my sons to be naughty and there was no way my Bengal would be either I am disabled and use a mobility chair and I’m on oxygen 24/7 so getting around is difficult. I had to find a way to train and discipline Theodore at the same time. I was told by a friend to try a squirt bottle. The spray can reach across the room and it gets the message to him. It does not hurt him. There is a squirt bottle by every exit of my house and I carry on in the pouch on my mobility chair. Theodore is not afraid of me and often comes to me for loving. They are high maintenance and expensive to feed. I didn’t buy him he was a gift from my son. We had no clue he was a Bengal till his Vet told us. I love my little guy and he’s brought joy into my life
Mines an absolute twat of a cat, howls, insists on sleeping with us, brings everything from dead squirrels, pigeons and live rats home as presents, an excellent kitchen climber and door opener, loves getting wet and jumping on bed with muddy feet, insists on playing fetch for an hour every night, hard play fights, hates being alone and fights all the neighbours cats - yep the best cat ever and wouldn't have it any other way, proper cats are Bengal cats :)
Lol 😂Sounds to me as if I just heard how every cat in America behaves and how Domestic cats do Shed !!! They all SHED and need play time. Geeez! However, I love our bengal cat because she is so special. She loves people and she is extremely smart . She entertains us with her playfulness and eagerness to get crazy around the house. I love her ❤
I agree with the not listening and getting into trouble I used to have one. But eventually mine started to listen to me. Also thanks for the vid again!
As a bengal cat owner, this is THE best video I have ever seen! I rescued a bengal girl 4 yrs ago. I don't have a jobb so I'm home all the time. She have her own door out. At summertime she screams like crazy at 0400 every morning craving wet expensive food. Then she runs out and maby comes back in the night. (She is 7 yrs old now) in the winter 7 months in Sweden she mostly sleeps alone in the basement, hardly eat at all and when awake she destroys everything. She never wants to cuttle or play. The most unsocial cat in the world!. I am her slave? Still, I love her deeply! She keeps me on my toes.I have had cats for 40yrs. This bengal is the worst and the best of all of my cats. Cheers.
As a behaviouralis for rescues we are seeing an excessive amount of Bengals thrown out or dropped at high kill shelters for behaviour and medical issues from improper care. Research from proper resources is highly important. This video helps those cats that are more on the wild end. I am presently working on half siblings over 4 years old. Mentally these 2 will take up to a year to train and reroute behavioural patterns from improper physical and mental care.
Mine used to take off for 2 weeks at a time in the country but would always come back and pick up right were we left off . This could really be any cat .
Sounds like a case of Nurture vs Nature. I currently have two bengals. Had one prior. The 1st ... the world was his oyster. Had rlshps with everyone/thing in the neighbourhood, right from the dog everyone hated to delivery men. Shedding... I always wore bkack oants to work... would never know I had a cat at himw never mund two. One is the biggest ham; the other is very timid & I know the breeder never handled his batch.
ok I don't have a Bengal but most. of these reasons are with all cats so you kind of are saying why cats shouldn't even be owned (not trying to sound mean or trying to sound like I'm hating sorry if I do)

i am not sure, but i think you surely must speak from your own experience, so please don generalize a beautiful cat just because you cannot handle the breed. i have a Bengal and she is intelligent , energetic and very playful with my other cats and myself. as for all the faults you are listing, that can be any cat. if you choose any animal you always should make sure to actual take care of them, if you like a animal for with no interaction, i suggest get a statue and all your so called problems are fixed.
I have a Bengal & she does listen!! She was easy to train also. She has never had an accident with the clean litter box. If you're keeping a filthy litter box ANY cat will not use the box. My Bengal is NOT vocal. Not all are & she's my 2nd Bengal. Neither was or is vocal. Attention ?? You can leave them alone if they got toys. They are not destroyers. Very misleading video!! This is complete BS. I have had the privilege of owning 2 bengals and both my girls were so sweet and beautiful. The worse thing they ever did was knock stuff off tables, like glasses of water and other objects.
Did she actually say that brushing a Bengal once a week and clipping its nails is a reason not to get a Bengal? That should tell you all you need to know about this list of "reasons". Sheesh!
There are cats for which grooming is a chore. Bengal is not one of them. Frankly for extra short haired cats you don't even have to do it unless they need it, which may be never.
I have had my Bengal cat for about 7 months now, best decision i ever had. They do require slightly more attention and they are definitely trainable. Best cat ever.
I got my Bengal cat at 15 weeks old. You definitely need to train them as a kitten since day 1. I had to spend the first few months every single night to kitten training. I know it seems like time-consuming for some people but he's 7 years old and I have no behavioral problems now so that was time well worth it. Everyone keeps saying how I did it because he's so well behaved. I love my Bengal cat. My Bengal cat only shed a little bit. Maybe because he's not a pure Bengal. He's actually a Bengal-Savanah mix.
My Bengal was adopted at 9 weeks at a shelter . We got her as soon as they weaned her . She was energetic, loving and sweet. Never broke , hurt us or had cat fights . Intelligent, interesting and entertaining. Loved curling up next to me to sleep every night . Even the night before she died at 15 . She couldn’t manage the stairs so I carried her . She couldn’t be gotten better as the vet would’ve tried but cancer 2 tumours and it had spread . She had gone off her food . Within the week she went to fur baby heaven . Sad and lonely here without her . I’d get another in an instant but there’s a delay as we might be moving . Waiting until our move is on or off to get a cat and a dog . Everyone loved our funny cat . She learned tricks . Played dead . Never ever caught birds . She caught a few mice which was handy ( I do like mice ) as they chew through electrical cables . Cats will be cats . Her beautiful coat was admired by many . I’d recommend Bengals . They need lots of play time when young . They do calm down just like any other cat does too.
