Toys are important not just balls but things to reach up and bat a mix of stimulating toys tgey can catch ..my cats can go outside in a lightly wooded area and they come home with their eyes lit up purring happily Theirs eyes sparkly They get to satisfy their instincts My female gets bored still at times and I don't know hiw I'd ever keep tgem indoors wtout a lot of money spent on toys and cat trees

They are very personable and sweet usually but they are stellar hunters if you have some woodsie areas that are safe from caste or fisher cats they relish catching prey my main coon Syris runs straight up a tree like it's flat ground he kills 3 field mice 2 birds...he grabs them out the nest in sring 2 rabbits a night as well ....its sad sometimes it waa cute when he'd come home with a field mouse and drop it at my feet but the baby bunnies made me sad. But I also see how brilliant a hunter and receiving 2 fresh rabbits as a gift shows me he's a supportive member of the family

I love our Maine coons. We have two brothers. There's one behavior I wish they would stop. They practice catch and release. I will never get accustomed to them dropping a live mouse in the middle of the living room floor.

I have a 1/2 Maine Coon and so far he does most of this and Follow me ! EVERYWHERE trills comes up to me on the couch and lays his head on me like a dog would do! At 8 months, he is 14lbs and had the sapphire blue eyes when he was born, his sisters didn't 💙 small little ear tufts he has , I fell in love with his baby pic now he's mine!

Any animal will become hard to manage if you don't train them correctly. And different species and breeds have different needs.

Had a rescue cat that I raised from the time she was about 4 weeks old. Never knew for certain what breeds were in her DNA, but she seemed to have major Maine Coon heritage. She was a cuddle bug who loved to lay in my lap or be carried draped over my shoulder while crossing her front paws, she was super talkative (mostly around meal times 😆), and for the first few years of her life she loved riding in cars. She gave me 14 years of love and laughter and I miss her every single day.

after watching this i feel these reasons are distorted out of proportion, I have owned many cats and the main reason is moving house or when you first get them, unless you are a bad owner, I have lost my only on those occasions and all have come back eventually, one took a year... but once they found there way back never get lost a second time.

Cats don't run away per se, they might went outside and got frightened from something (a dog or another predator), got injured or died if they are outdoor/indoor cats, or if they are indoor cats, 'escaped' outside and got scared and confused and are hiding somewhere. Or in case they moved to a new family or new home, they went outside too early and go back to their original home. Or they have another family that feeds them and think its their cat.. that can happen too.

My big sister bought our Persian Angora cat named Snowbelle back in 2009. She was a kitten. She never got sick for 14 years. Because we never allow her to roam on the streets or we might lose her. We allow her to walk on our yard to get some fresh sunshine. She grew up rude & vicious. Giving us claw cuts & bite wounds for years. She never got sick until she had a seizure in May 27, 2024. & she can't move, only her head. We rushed her in our nearest vet. They made a blood test on her, the result was normal. The precribed her some calcium syrup. I gave her some calcium by a syringe dropper when we got home. & a few minutes later she was cured. She can now walk & sit straight up.(Thank God,) Then by April 25, she got a seizure again. During seizure, her sharp claw wounded her paw & blood spitting everywhere. She was not paralyzed this time. The vet removed her sharp claw piercing her paw & they cut all her sharp claws. It was a "very hot" summer here in Asia in 2024. Then I notice this May that she was walking non-stop around the house looking for hiding place while breathing heavily. I first thought she was having a heatstroke, so I took her a bath & got refreshed. But on d next few days, she was walking around endlessly & breathing heavily again. & I took here bath again. Then until d next few days, she was still restless. & I notice that she wasn't peeing & pooping for days until before. So I decided to take her to the vet again. They can't determine her illlness because she was on internal pain. The vet suggest to take her for an x-ray. So I took her for an x-ray & pass the results to our vet. They notice she have a lot of poop on her stomach & enlargement of the heart. If those poop were not come out, she will have a blood poisoning. So the vet gave her some laxative by a syringe dropper & suppository before we got home. She got pooped when we were home. Then I took her a bath to clean her up & got refreshed. But for tthe 2nd dose of laxative she can't poop, Maybe because she's now eating wet food & not dry food anymore, she have nothing to poop. But I notice that her pawas & legs were getting weaker & she can't stand up. So I gave here calcium syrup to make her paws & legs were strong again. I'm now worried to death that I can't take it if our Snowbelle will be gone. She was a healthy cat back in 1st week of May 2024. Sitting in the kitchen just asking for her feeds. Now she's sick. I wish & pray that she will get heal & become & healthy just like before. & not dying at 15. 😢

Not sure what cat walked into my garden. Thought it was a Norwegian Forrest cat but not sure. The ears are too small for a coon imo. It has no plumes on the ears. It wags its tail and is spinning at the same time when being pet. Real gentle cat. She is quite thin. Assume she has been wandering around for a long time. Seem like a quite young cat but with huge paws, long legs and tail. She is bigger than my 6 year old euro shorthair. 80 cm from nose to the point of the tail.

I have a Bengal & she does listen!! She was easy to train also. She has never had an accident with the clean litter box. If you're keeping a filthy litter box ANY cat will not use the box. My Bengal is NOT vocal. Not all are & she's my 2nd Bengal. Neither was or is vocal. Attention ?? You can leave them alone if they got toys. They are not destroyers. Very misleading video!! I'm disappointed!! I loved my 1st Bengal & love my 2nd & when she dies, I'll get my 3rd!! This video is LIES!!

Many orange females here in Indonesia..I would think half/half. And also many even orange without tabby stripes....but then indeed mostly still stripes in their face...on their paws and on their tails.
