Hell yeah happy i found this pretty sure this is were mine is leaking from. I was pretty intimidated by all the hoses and wires but your video made quick sense of that for me. Was worried i was gonna have to take it to a shop but after i feel very confident i can do it myself. Just missing a single tool to finish. Got it over half way done though.
Cool
Hey wassup brother, thanks for Taking the time to post this video. I have the same issue on my vehicle and couldn’t find the leak for the life of me. Thank you
Oh I see yeah it’s
Common part
That wears out
good job thanks for this video
Thank you for the video. And the time you worked hard. I had the same problem with the temperature sensor and it was late in reaching me after the purchase ❤❤❤
Thanks
Bro you save my day! Same problem same place same part and my engine still up and running! Great Vid
Niceee job!!! This was A tec job if u got it don’t u deserve ASE certification
@@RBTheMechanic took me about 3 hours but got it done. I rather do things myself than spent 900$ on something that costs 90$
@@eevee_hp_tp4129 yup it took me good hour or more as well
Thanks for your video. Now I understand the problem of my car and my mechanic fixed it. I won't even attempt to do this job.
Yeah !!! Make sure I buy sensor also I had to order after
Great job
The same thing happened to my car, Thanks for making this video.
Welcome
Glad I found your video. Mine just broke this morning, guess it’s the gasket. Great video man👌
Yeah not so bad to do just take ur time!!! Get that sensor also if u get the same part
@@RBTheMechanic It was actually pretty easy, though I was going to take all day. It only took me 2 hours labor plus new coolant and purging the system. Purging it take a long time.
@@ajf4693 yeah not so bad good job!!!!
Awesome video. 252k miles and mine just failed. Looks pretty simple. Thanks for the video!!
@@dougtheunicorn193 yeah not a bad job!!
Great video
Thank u hopefully this video will help millions!!
@@RBTheMechanic it is . I am sure plenty of people will be redirected to this cuz most people like to fix their own car . Appreciate the help
Can you do a video of the same car but misfires ? Or a video of what caused the housing to leak
Housing is old plastic and seal brittle and it cracks misfire I have lot of videos on honda it should be same I have Mazda also search them
That’s exactly where I see steam and wetness coming from in my Mazda 3 it’s a 2009. My coolant reservoir is low I put coolant in the car drive and it smokes and it’s low on fluid. Also my heat goes in and out it gets hot then blows out cold air. I put my car in the shop yesterday.
Oh yeah somthing not so bad to do
I had a leak from here for over four years couldn't find it.. Finally it's starting to leak a little more , i still didn't fix it.. i'm gonna pressure tested in a couple days to make sure it's that the part .. Actually I'm buying the gasket .. If the housing is not cracked I'm just replacing the gasket for $3.50 They sell it But I'll buy the whole thing too separately for $75.. Because I don't feel like running to the store because I had no way to get there so I'll get everything before and whatever I don't use gets returned... The problem is I want to replace the hoses going to the heater core and I don't know the size of the hose .. Which is a pain I might just run to the junkyard and get the same hose and cut it so I could bring that sample to the parts store to get 2 new hoses .. right now my car is running at a steady 208° At Idol for couple hours . I just topped off with distilled ,, I'll flush the whole system when I'm done , I'm just putting it off because it's 115° out tomorrow And of course I'll end up doing it in a parking lot somewhere because I don't have a place of my own... Anyone have any idea of the proper pressure test pressure I should shot for,, When I do the pressure test for this particular vehicle mines a 2013 basically the same car ,, I would think a pick would be the easiest thing to use to remove that hose that you were having a problem with ,, Can you take the piggy stick it in the hose and go around it to move it off.. Anyway this should be fun definitely not looking forward to it... I'm going to put some thermal protection because there's a exhaust manifold right below those two hoses that go to the heater core I'm gonna have them wrapped in fiberglass sleeves to protect the hoses
Ummm I’m not sure u want to just replace the gasket I would replace the whole thing it get brittle also the sensor since ur in there and then it should last u years to come
What are the two sensors that sit on top? There was a redish brown one and a black one, you mentioned something about not breaking them and you were having a hard time with the red one in the video. Mine snapped off and i have no idea what its even called to replace it
At what time frame u see them
Thanks for this info. I just replaced mine. Wondering the indicator seems not working properly. When i started the car this morning, indicator indicates the temperature is already in the middle although i have just started the car which should start at the bottom and rise as engine runs..
Replace the tem sensor could be faulty
@@RBTheMechanic Thanks for your input. I will check with the mechanic. As far as i knew he only replaced the plastic block.
@@louiegiltampoc8949 yeah check with him it would had been good idea to do it while it was open
@@RBTheMechanic Thank you. Actually, replacement of the block (engine coolant water outlet) is done. But i noticed that when i turned on the engine in the morning, the temperature reading goes directly at the middle which is unusual as it suppose to rise as the engine rise until it reaches the mid part (normal temperature), which roughly take around 4 to 5 mins once the engine is started from cool condition.
Thank you. I really appreciate your swift responses.
please ive been looking for days what is the circle right above the coolant outlet square???
At what
Time frame u see it
i did everything in this video but putting it all back together, the top bolt where one of the nuts go just broke off as i was tightening it back in, idk if to look for a new metal bracket or what
U maybe over tightened it
Peace. Great job youngman. My name is Sha-King. I would like to know if this 2009 was a V6. I am having the same mystery leak in my coolant system on my 2009 mazda6 V6. Is it different on the 4 cylinder. Can you please let me know if this is a V6. Thank you so much. Again, great job
No this is 4 cylinder
@RB The Mechanic peace. Where besides the dealer can I get the part for the v6. It looked like it's in the same location. The hoses go to the same place
@@christopherbird4753 autozone or pepboys can order it or u can search the part number on amazon
Can you send a link to buy the housing and compatible sensor?
Sorry don’t have link I got it from my local part store
What happend to the part thats broken off from the housing.
Huh? It’s cracked
Hey the hose you broke do you no if that hose go to the radiator
They go to heater core I believe
@@RBTheMechanic I have a hose blown of inbetween top radiator hose and radiator cap I can't find we're it belongs to I'll probably have to pull everything apart like you did to find it thx
What did you pump to see the leak
Coolant pressure tool was used to pump small amount of psi to the system
Can't I squeeze a hose to get the water to circulate so I can see where mine leaks?
U had to bleed it how u do it
Didn’t need to just let it run for 10-15 minutes then double check coolant
Part number please
Should be in the video
I'd also like to know the part number.
