- Опубліковано 4 лип 2024
- Steering is underway! Christian and I are working hard to build swingset steering for the F150 Prerunner and we are making progress, some in the right direction, some not haha. We are happy to share our mistakes to give you more of an understanding of the conditions you have to build around for a proper steering setup. Enjoy!

I guess I'm not alone in learning stuff the hard way. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.👍
we all have our dumb moments haha!
Great video thanks
I fully welded my control arms before I cycled my suspension... just gonna leave it at that... lol
Nice razor skooter poster Christian!
This video is amazing!!!, more like this please.
Doing dual swing is up there with serious RnR to get it right. We all make mistakes, gonna need to do some trig to figure that out. Good luck. Look forward to the next installment of this rebuild.
YESSS THE BOYSSSS
Those welds look like a work of art
Yo those are beefcake!! Christian and Jake I’ve got so much respect for you guys.
thank you brother!

I’m so glad that I found this channel. Lots of great info! I’m no stranger to I-beams and custom link suspensions, but I’ve always slammed vehicles to the ground on air ride or hydraulics. I thinking on my new project that I’m going to try to build a “daily prerunner” style tuck and I’m realizing really quickly that this is Not going to be cheap..... lol. Luckily I can do my own fab work but the shocks and all the other goodies will add up quick. But anyways, I appreciate all of the work that you guys do and Christian is a Bad Ass Fabricator!! Keep up the awesome work.
Hell yeah let’s go!! Awesome work.
Only commenting cause I want more videos. Starting my 01 f150 build soon!
Kick ass Fab work man💀🚚💀🚚💀💀🇺🇸😎
Good job your are one of the best 👌
I spent 3 days on the steering on my F100 build and I have learned to not weld anything until it is all in place. I made one set of swingers and had to redo them because of clearance issues.
we learned our lesson! Won't have that issue again haha
Hell yeah helps me understand a little better what I’m am up against with my 96 ranger
good vid, dudes.
🤙
What type of steel and what thickness are you guys using here? And how do you make the connection points where things bolt together?? those are already pre-done here so I’m just trying to gain all the right knowledge to actually get the spindles built in the first place… also wondered, are you guys going to continue the prerunner 101 series? It is absolutely invaluable to people like me.
Saaaaaaaa doooooooos
Protip for anyone that doesn't finish the video. Make temporary tabs for mockup on anything that can be changed, then cycle everything before making all the real tabs.
Trail and Error....We Go thru that Building Stuff......Your doing Well Guys...that's where using Soildworks really helps you can animate your work...
no doubt! If I had a 100% accurate frame file I could have drawn everything up and known from the start if it was going to work.
@@WingsWorldChannel I found lots of Diagrams on the internet "Ford Truck Enthusiast" has a lot Have a Look
Thx. Why did carmakers not think of this before?
👍
Enjoy the work y’all do been watching for awhile I have a 95 150 been putting together and it’s been helpful where can I go to get some shirts from y’all I’m not very computer savvy and I’m sure I’m just missing it some how ?
Hey! Thank you for wanting to support, the website isn't up right now, refining a new t-shirt design then going to get it printed!
Do you use dom for steering stuff?
Do you do any suspension work on 72 f250 2wd.
I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what size I beams and radius arms I need to make. I want to build a 97 ranger as a prerunner but dont know how much longer i need to make my i beams and radius arms if anyone could help me figure that out that would be awesome
Tommy at TT Motorsports modified his crossmember to get his to work
Where are you guys located.
Oh man, hurt my feelings you guys had to cut those off
mine too haha
Them 450x in the back
I miss, "Asuuhhh dudes!" F#$& the haters!
Why not just make the swingers with a curve forward for clearance? Instead of just a straight tube
Bent tubes want to continue to bend under load. All the best swing steering setups run straight tierods.
