This is the first drum cover I’ve seen in a long time that has made my jaw literally drop. I mean, I just started laughing at least 5 times throughout because oh my god. This is legitimately one of the most impressive drum performances I’ve ever seen! I can already tell I’ll be watching this a lot in the future. Absolutely insane!!

Yeah leprous are one of my faves too, saw them in Leeds last year, got there super early and ended up meeting Baard and getting a pic with him, jealous you got a lesson with him though!

I'm a one legged drummer myself and have been playing with one leg since 1989 I was in a horrific motorcycle accident when I was only 20yrs old and lost my leg alcohol related happened on APRIL FOOLS Day in Phoenix AZ but I can still play and this song is one my most favorites now and it is difficult to play along with but damn it feels good. It's a natural high loving it.

I've watched this several times every day for the last week. And even though I know you're going to nail it perfectly, every time I watch it I'm tense, on the edge of my seat nervous that you might slip up. That's how incredible this performance is. As mind-blowing and compelling a roller coaster ride the 30th time as it was the 1st.
And there is still no1 near this level of drumming in 2023. You my friend are the Pinnacle and the word of practice makes perfect 🖤🖤🤘🏼🤘🏼

Now I know im a nobody, I have been a novice drummer for 20 years. Grew up in NYC, hung out with bands like Emmure, Endwell,HulksBlood,Martyrd...etc. I've played in so many local shows with so many talented musicians, and seen some of the most impressive drummers out there. People that should be famous for how good they are. El Estepario, my man, you have a rare dedication that most people don't. The fluidity and comfort you display through the song is absolutely amazing. You are a most impressive musician and fun to watch. And I'm going to take that trick of changing the grip on your right hand for the faster upbeat tempos on the ride.

I've seen some guys using it for blast beats.

Its crazy one of my pedals on my double bass had its sprocket broken off, but seeing these videos have helped find ways to do double bass techniques with the single pedal and a well tuned floor tom. Super helpful and adds to the skill set, amazing drummer.

Actually playing this song this way is a lot easier than how Mangini played it :) He doesn't have to move his arms/body a lot between different parts of the drum kit + he changed the drum fills to easier ones and added a lot of notes in-between which made the song groovy and it doesn't fit the vibe and lyrics. But of course is looks cool and is nice to watch and listen on a UA-cam.
