New patch has buffed Ground Pound damage by a chunk, so you now only need the lightest level of charge on Aftershock to execute after a Ground Pound. Enjoy!
Some of my friends were having trouble running Assault + Thunder Hammer against Thousand Sons. Good to know that there is a way to make it work. I've been upgrading the Chainsword and Power Fist from playing Bulwark, but I'd be happy to try out the Thunder Hammer on Assault one of these days.
So main thing to note is that ground pound damage is different depending on the melee weapon you're using, so Thunder Hammer does the most damage, Chainsword the least. Variants don't come into it tho AFAIK. I do wanna try out the Chainsword for a jump pack dash build tho!
Hate how many melee attacks it takes to kill a chaos marine Also, I think they need to make them utilize melee more, they don’t give too many opportunities for dodges or parries
Yup :) I'm playing both atm, but have more fresh build ideas for SM2. For HD2 I want to showcase the RR, Breaker S&P + Railgun, Lib Pen and the mech builds too.

I would definitely be interested in a full assault guide versus Chaos, but this video+description was a great primer for it as well. 👌
