DIY Mods for your BMW E60 M5 in 2024

- Every year that goes by is another year these E60 M5's get older and more brittle in many ways! My 2006 is currently at 208k miles and has been around the block and had a number of wear items as well as areas for improvements. In this video I go through simple little mods that can maybe help some of you out there looking for ways to improve the look and feel of your E60 M5.
- Start Push button change
-Puddle Lights and LED Bulbs
-Headlight Swap
-Front lip spoiler install
-Dash pad crack repair with Vinyl/Leather trim tape

That lip was money well spent! The other stuff was too, but the lip helped the most.
Is that dash easily removed? There is a feller on YT that takes old American muscle car dashes out and grinds out the rotted material, then uses some sort of body filler, then covers the entire thing in vinyl. It turns out looked VERY sharp.

Wow 200k+ very risky without a good record of the maintenance that was done on the car. Even then sometimes sellers will lie about the rod bearings being done. Good luck though!!! Hope oil analysis comes back good.

I got em used off a Facebook group!
BMW had a problem with the wire insulation spec on these cars. Caution on the wiring to the SMG it will go bare under the car. It's not the place for a short. Have seen other UA-camrs disassemble the wire connectors and cover with heat shrink.

That's not candy it's Sticky butyl you press it on the stop start button and pull it off fast and it pops off the button!! I have done it on my Bmw works really good!!!
So what's the point of the screw driver? I stand by sketchy candy lol
