I just did a 16x25 pergola with Suntuff solar grey. They missed a lot. 100% Silicone Sealant should be applied. Horizontal and vertical closure strips should be used. And you can lay the 2x4s the way they did but the nicer way is to flush them in between the rafters 24 inch on centers. Otherwise great job.
This is an incomplete video since you don't explain what and how to do it. People usually search for videos to understand the process and how DIY projects can be done, thank you for the time you took it to do the video though.
Ya it wasn’t really a how to more so just for entertainment. Thanks for watching
i need to hire the guy in the pink t shirt!
These guys are fast ! 😉
I love the guy in the back mowing!😂 nice job guys.
FREaaaaaaaaaaaKIN GLORIOUS!!!! dat one! :)
With this technique of using 1x4 's instead of corrugated strips, I assume you are screwing panels with screws going in on the high side of corrugation rather than valleys. What screws and size are you using and is it difficult to control depth when screwing in to avoid cracking of panel at screw site? Thanks.
7:30 All I can focus on is the erratic pattern of cutting the yard.. he didn't cut the entire yard.. was he being nosey 🤔 😄
Thank you for the video. After you did the pressure washer, will you do the pressure dry?
Your video is great! I noticed you didn't use Horizontal Plastic Closure Strips to secure the panels to the rafters. Aren't they needed? Please advise as what type of screws you used as I plan to do the same with my patio. Its a 12' x 12' patio with corrugated aluminum currently installed. Thanks
That is one low pitch roof! If there were any problem with leaf litter, wouldn’t you be concerned about water backing up under the soffits (as I see you are going under that skirting). Also, if you are screwing in the valley of the corrugation, it impedes the movement of water. Just some observations.
jonnydwolf, you are completely right in all your observations, they don't consider standards that we must follow to do and finish a good job.
You did not use corrugated closure strips, why?
Is nothing needed between the main roof flashing and the suntuf panels? I am planning on doing this also
Hi, in this application we did not use any foam strips because it was a very tight fit and the panels are going up under the flashing on the roof about 7 inches. Hope this helps you out. Thanks for watching. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Installation instructions are available from the Suntuf site. Always best practice to follow their instructions as well as local building codes. I just completed a 32’x12’ by myself and would have loved a partner. Nice quick job guys.
So in this manner you don’t need the suntuf corrugated supports?
Sorry about the delay. I hadn't noticed your question. These panels are very tough , I do not see the need for the corrugated supports. We have used these panels in this fashion alot with the oldest one being completed about 6 years ago still no signs of sagging or anything else unusual. Thanks for your question.
Which colour is it? Solar grey?
my roof leaks like I ran it into a iceberg
When are you going to update the dump trailer video
Jason Collins I'm going to put the rest of the videos up tomorrow been crazy busy. Thanks for the interest and patience.
you should not be walking directly on the panels. you need to be using wide board.s
