Damn! At 7:50 when you were laying out all the pieces you had brushed, cleaned, degreased, un-seized, oiled, revitalized, and generally un-f'ed, it was VERY satisfying for me! You put that whole engine into a better state than it was ever in! You are a wrench maestro good sir!
I think the most satisfying thing is seeing you recycle bits and peices into this bad ass piece of work. Id put a larger or second fuel tank at the front to balance it out a bit better. Or like a foam mat that a small second passenger could sit in (if the boats got enough boyancy that is) I reckon once you get enough weight at the front, you will really unlock her full potential. Other option would be to extend the back.
Making a boat isnt the amazing part. Fixing that motor is the miracle. I cant believe the block isnt melted or cracked. That thing burned bad. It looks more like an anchor than a motor.
Amazing job! Very nice. Thank you for making this video for us to see. Engine fix, boat making - that was amazing to learn for me that it is possible. I am amazed with everything, except your welding. You have to put stronger tacks, all around your each welding joint. (I am professional everyday welder, at a factory in Canada). Those thin vertical metal sticks don’t look like they are attached very reliable to the top and to the bottom of your sit. In case of boat crash, they can pierce your leg or body.

@@black7987echo say what you want but no orings or gaskets and the engine will fail.
@@garboi8976 You can see from the carb portion that the diaphragm was falling apart, and he rebuilt it with a carb kit since it showed a good diaphragm later on. Also, a 2-stroke engine simply wont run with a massive crankcase leak, with the very damaged main seal he showed.
He most certainly used lots of new parts to get that engine back to running. It is a little deceiving from the video, but I'm guessing it gets him more views.
@@boracay12 I suspect the cost in parts was getting close to the same as the value of a new engine tbh. Fun vid though.

So what did you wind up doing for a living?

The truth of the matter is that we all have the same creative potential. It's just that ignorance keeps Us complacent and comfortable ... this is the limitation that we need to overcome to be truly creative.
It all comes down to what we believe is possible or impossible. It's just a matter of perspective and choice is how we change it.

I was kind of doubting in the beginning that you'd be able to turn that burnt down engine into just running. But you went above and so far beyond what I expected and turned it into a very appealing and unique futuristic small water craft. I'd prefer this over a jetskii! Looks like a new idea to change small watercrafts

I bet he did it for less than $200 in materials. Of course he has a lot invested in tools already.

Excellent job. Need one for the Florida keys.
If this one is presented in the Florida keys beaches, it's gonna turn some eyes.
@@vietnamese1016 you obviously haven't been to Florida. Lol
What a brilliant engineer and mechanics this guy is.
Making a boat isnt the amazing part. Fixing that motor is the miracle. I cant believe the block isnt melted or cracked. That thing burned bad. It looks more like an anchor than a motor.

This guy is skilled. What makes it even more fantastic, for me anyway, is that I would bet he does not even have any formal training. Its just raw talent. And skill. He had to re-engineer most of that on the fly.
If I had to guess I'd say he's probably trained formally or semi-formally (as an apprentice) to work with engines and picked up the rest along the way. Either way he's definitely gifted.
This man is truly a master of his craft and should be recognized
The craftsmanship at its best whether it Mechanical, Electrical, or even Electronics you master it all. I enjoyed each and every moment of your video. Wish you all success and happiness.
