    • @jimbayler4277
      @jimbayler4277 2 роки тому +19

      @@matthiasweigel311 He also threw the hacked out fiberglass and foam into the waterway. You see it floating there by the reeds later in the video. If he does it so casually, he has done it before. If I was his downstream neighbor, I wouldn't want his garbage floating downstream to my docks or fishing holes. I kind of like the thought of my kids and grandkids being able to jump off the docks safely.
      Also, I'd be a little bent out of shape if that piece of piling he dumped in the river, punched a hole in my fastboat !!

    End of part 1??? Ohhh, you're killing me!
    Very intriguing. So you did not like the other motor?? Did the other motor run too deep, you'd rather run in shallower water???? The boat seemed to run really good on the Isuzu 4 cylinder... I'm trying to understand the total re-powering & re-thinking of the powerplant & design....
    Those look like pretty big Jet-Ski motors... Should have plenty of power. Heh heh! Nice.
    I love what you do, but sometimes you confuse me a little bit... You clearly KNOW what you are doing, you are smart.... But, no torque wrench?? Ever?? Some of that stuff, you should definitely be using a torque wrench. Those reed valves, some of them were damaged.... and you just re-used them?? You're doing SO MUCH WORK, it would really be a shame if it ran kinda crappy because you didn't replace the reed valves when you were literally holding them in your hand, it would have taken zero effort....
    I was also curious, you took the engine block to a machine shop to re-bore & re-hone??? Or you did that yourself, off camera???? Or, that was sleeved?? I'm just curious, you went from some pretty rough-looking cylinder walls, to some really sweet smooth bores..... Those engines were pretty rough. If you get those running good, that in itself would be a very good accomplishment. I tip my cap to you Sir. You have talent, and you are not afraid of work.... and you don't exactly have a clean air conditioned shop either, you're working in tough conditions....
    Uhhh, also, I love your boat lift. Very clever!!! Heh heh heh!!! Well done. Anyways good luck, I look forward to more videos.

      Remember watercooled 3 cylinder 2 stroke 750cc motorbikes? Bloody fast bikes, compares to a 1000cc fourstroke, maybe. Lots of revs means lots of horsepower. I bet these things are like that. And then two of those, though that does NOT double the actual horsepower, props don't work that way, but you get lots of power anyway.

    I would’ve thought that all those microscopic scratches he’s doing with the sand paper and screwdriver isn’t going to do the help with the combustion chambers. Also reusing the old piston rings? Apart from that, it was good to watch 👍👍

    • @Zanzamor

      I see no reason why he can't use the old parts as long as it's with in tolerance why spend a bunch of money if you don't need to, don't think his concern about new stuff as long as it runs. reminds me of my hotrod days timing light and a torgue wrench is about high tech we got and junk yard parts.

      @@Zanzamor I see what you’re saying. If it’s an old engine and it’s been thrown out. There must be a good reason.

    • @jbncnow

      Those engines are both junk i would have just bought 2 new used ones these engines are not some old small block chevy you can bore out several times They have tight tollerances. theres a reason it was in the junkyard They may run but for how long ? and the power will be down from what it should be and will dump oil into the water. Ive been here done that and learned my lessons. there are no shortcuts in boat engines they suck in dirty sandy water all he time often overheating and are at wide open throttle much of the time under full load. thats why junkyards are full of broken jetskis and jet boats

      @@jbncnow I remember having a car engine this was when I was in my teens. It was really well worn and knackered, it had no poke. So I stripped the engine right down into all its components . Cleaned up every little parts. Reassemble it and spray painted the engine. It looked really good. This time it looked a really clean, painted well worn knackered engine 😂. This was when engines were simple, non of these sensors and electronics. 👍👍

    • @Zanzamor
      @Zanzamor 2 роки тому +1

      @@jbncnow Maybe you should go there and take some lessons from him to learn how to revive engines that people threw away thinking it would never run again his proving time and time again with his rebuild and of broken down engines, you don't need to buy a new engine every time you think a engine is worthless as he keeps proving with his rebuilds and in that part of the world you do what you have to, to get things working even if you have to use bailing wire and duck tape, that's not America the throw away country, don't work buy a new one.

      He doesn't speak english I don't think, and machine parts and jargon is different per language. I think it'd be a real pain to try and translate for him especially if you can't be sure the translation would be correct. I'm just glad the english captions are somewhat decent as it is. His original captions are in Vietnames his mother tongue, it does a much better job explaining and entertaining but much is lost to in translation so to speak.
