Tech support tried to help, Skype, screen sharing and remote control. After 1 week os not being able to print I notified Amazon I wanted to send it back. 1 question. Hi, I'm ready to pull the trigger and buy my first 3D printer, and after some search I'm have two possible 3D printers, but I can't decide on wich one. My two candidates are Tevo Black Widow or Tevo Tornado. I don't have any concern about that black widow need full assembly, I have sufficient skill to deal with that so that is not a trouble. Do you have any advice of wich one is better?

John Smith John Cool! You welcome! I think there is no need for one more glass or extra heat bed. I mistakenly drop big heavy metal screw driver directly on the glass without Buildtak and I was afraid that It might crack but to my surprise it dont leave any mark. To be honest Buildtak is preety good. If you don't overheat heatbed to more then 120 degrades it will last long time.
Does not make sense BUT if you use MEK (alcohol, nor Acetone work all that well on this version of Buildtak) to remove that BIG Buildtak surface and you will never have to worry about putting that shitastic Buildtak back on again. Give me plain glass or glass with hairspray over any surface that wears down and is a PITA to remove and put back on without bubbles.

This is a nice printer however as confirmed ... mains voltage AC heating it rings alarm bells for me. Build volume is very nice and the better stepper drivers and smoother make an already great printer look good.
angelshce Yes you can and you don't need to buy glass. Heated bed is glass actually with microscopic holes and with AprintaFix spray it sticks very good. I prefer to print on glass directly.
I'm very new to this and I think I have my cure set up correctly for my Tevo Tornado. I pushed save to file on my sd card. Put the sd card in the Tevo and selected the file but nothing happens. I was able to print the spool holder preloaded on the card fine. so I know the printer works correctly. I looked and all of the factory files on the card are .gco and the one I loaded is .gcode. did I save it incorrectly? Any ideas?
I wonder if it's possible to print your specified print size of (X,Y) 300mm x 300mm. For a serious review, this is an important point worth mentioning.
This thing is alright if they send you a working one. Its pretty much rolling the dice on whether or not you get a working machine. Its been over 2 months now since I bought mine and it is STILL not operational. First the bed came broken. The replacement they sent was bent to the point of not being usable. Now they are ignoring me entirely. I would NOT buy another printer from them.
Overall the only things the Nado has over the Cr10 is that the bed is AC and heats up quickly, and that the extruder is a tad bit better. Other than that it is not worth it to go with tevo imo.
No you dont need any special computer. You use PC or Mac with slicer program(CURA and others) to ''open'' and slice STL files(3D object) that you can download from Thingiverse for example (over 500.000 free models) and then you slice model and save G-codes(commands for 3D printer) to Micro SD card which then you plug to your 3D printer which will make that object from G-codes.
@@AQUARIUMFREAK123 If you want to make your own files, you will need software capable of creating them and that can run into the tens of thousands. I don't know what there is for free on the cheap/free end.

Am testing Ender 2 right now just for you my friend! Feels like quality kit. Clean and nice components. It has the same X carrige and extruder like CR10. Nice small screen. 120W laptop like power supply. Its very quiet. No fan in control box just one in extruder. Nice rubber belts, heated bed, Buildtak,easy to assemble like 20-30minutes. No salmon skin,clean straight layers. But there is one downside: There is no cooling fan for Filament which is stupid because motherboard and software have suport for it. But I gess for the price..Main fan is blowing pretty good but some mod will be needed for better PLA quality. Not suitable for ABS. Maybe PETG. Here is quick printing video and first benchy. Nexi Tech I have great prints without fan and you have old version that came with laptop psu .new version is using regular psu and it can reach 110 C.This printer is almost same with cr 10 but print size is much smaller 15X15X20 .İf you have money go for cr 10 if you dont. You can trust ender .Join the facebook group and You can see the results.
Seems random if you get the new or old power supply, I've seen new reviews and it was still with the old power supply. But I guess you can always buy a more powerful power supply and plug in if you get the old one.
gxp99 Just install latest verison of Cura and select CR10 for your printer. Then edit name to Tevo Tornado. You will get all settings that you need. If you need print settings i will write you back.

Yes settings for printer is for CR10 CURA profile but I did change prints settings. I change my print settings for each print that I print. Every model needs different settings pretty much. Of course you can use standard speed and quality for all prints for most PLA like: Layer height 0.2mm, Print speed: 40mm/s, travel 100mm/s Print temperature 195/55 Cooling from 90%-100% Wall thickness 0.8mm top/ bottom 0.8mm Infill 20%. You have to experiment your self. The more prints you print the better you will be. And there is no need for golden ratios smothers will take care for that. Cheers! Nexi
Aren't they both basically just modified and optimised rep-rap designs? ;p They certainly look very similar to those from back when 3d printers were so niche that was one of the only places you could find how to build a cheap one. XD

Should i go for CR10S or Tevo? I know the price differents. But is the CR10S 300 dollars extra worth?

Not sure, sense stepper drivers on Tornado are integrated in main board. You can't change them without replacing the board.
