Setting up my very first printer as we speak. If I had only the creality instructions it would be a slightly stressful experience . Because I have your excellent video it is enjoyable to build .

Dude, thank you for having this video up. I had bought mine and it was sitting in my house for like a week and a half still boxed up until I was ready to get it opened. I did a quick search to see if anyone had done a box opening or a review before i opened it up and i found your video. When I finally did open it up and I bumped into a few things I came back to your video to see what I could pick up off of it and it helped. I've built plenty of PC's before but I have never owned, built, played with or owned a 3d printer. This is my first so I knew i was probably going to miss a few things.
    Thanks again. George

Just got one of these printers for Christmas! It is fantastic! The glass that came with it was warped, so I’ve been printing on the steel bed with masking tape but it works flawless. The print quality is really good.

I saw you were printing directly on the glass plate so I tried that and got no adhesion at all.
I watched your video again and saw you used PrintaFix. I missed that part first time I saw your video. Maybe I went to the toilet. I have now ordered PrintaFix.

Hello guys. I have the creality cr 10s and I am wondering how to fix a problem I’ve been having. Every time I level my printer I level the 4 corners but once I get to the middle, it is usually way too close to the bed. I’ve tried replacing the glass because many people have talked about warped glass but that didn’t work. I am are not sure what is going wrong. I am new to 3D printing and I’m not sure if the middle should be leveled and all the 4 corners shouldn’t be. If anyone could tell me any suggestions that would be great.

@Daniel Gulley I've had the Anet A8 for 5 years. It requires lots of upgrades and settings to get it to work properly. I still have issues once in a while. For an everyday user I would go with any other printer. So far, I've already replaced the main board, power supply twice, fans, belts and the heating block. After all the other upgrades, it still doesn't print anything close to the quality of the CR-10S. The reason I was watching this video is because I got tired of it and I purchased a CR-10S. Still in the mail.

Was going to get the cr10, then I saw reviews about a cr 10s upgrade. With your coupon on the 599 flash sale, took it down to 489 but I added the expedited and paided 526.
I was going to buy the printafix, but shipping to u.s. is not a option.
Do you know of a similar product sold in America?
Do you have or know any other videos a beginner needs to watch?
What are the best practice pieces to make first?
This looks like a very fun hobby and maybe even a small $$$ side business.
Thanks for taking the time to make the videos.

Hi Nexi! Many thanks for this review. Our CR10S good machine, but I can't do a bed levelling. The nozzle zero level is too high, and when I try to adjust, the nozzle presses the bed. How it's possible to change a zero level to -5? We have tried to improve levelling for 2 weeks now, several hrs each day, checked tons of videos but no luck

  • @Swarm509

Awesome review! You covered all the questions I would of had with the printer and actually showed off the prints with closeups.
I got an Anet A8 a few months ago and now wish I had this one (not impressed with the A8 for printing quality or kit quality, but it was cheap). I think if anyone asks about getting into 3D printing I will tell them to get this printer instead.
Now I have to decide if I want to get this printer or go for a Prusa I3 Mk3 instead.... (going to upgrade my Anet A8 with an extruded aluminum frame at some point).
Oh and does the Cr10s have an adjustable belt tensioner? I do not recall you mentioning if the belts were adjusted correctly from the factory or needed to be looked at.

    • @ledfed1912
      @ledfed1912 6 років тому +1

The prusa is very good but i would recomend the cr10s unless you want to use the multifilament upgrade and want to print with nylon and polycarbonate stuff, otherwise i think the cr10 is a better value.

Nice review dude. One thing that needs to be said is the horrendous reliability of these printers. When they are working, they print very well for the price, but holy only they have constant problems. We had 3 over a period of 6 months and all kept getting problems and needed constant attention to ever get a print

  • @flipitforward89
    @flipitforward89 6 років тому +1

Excellent review! It was great to see the results of the prints you threw at it. There are so many positive reviews on the CR10, it might be interesting to see at what point would it fail? For example, is there a typical speed setting that yields good consistent results and a max speed that would likely cause problems? Thanks and keep up the great work!

I just want to warn everyone before you go buying off from Gearbest for their amazing prices.
I've waited 3 weeks to have my printer shipped.
1st week they said my address was wrong and it had to be changed to an english address...(I live in Portugal)
2nd week they said they had received new warehouse stock and were too busy to deal with my order and that I'd have to wait a week for it to be ready.
and now, they just got back to say there is "no available shipping method" for my order.
Makes no sense, they said there were European warehouses, show available stock on the website, and gave lame excuses for 2 weeks.
This is just a heads up, might not happen to everyone.

It's possible the reason the machine say 260W- when the power-supply is 360W- is because 360w is what the power-supply is manufactured to be able to deliver, but when used in this 3d printer it never really needs that much (The better power supply, the close the actual power usage will be to the power utilization).

Thanks for the video- I ended up buying a CR-10S from your sponsored link and I've been printing away. I do have a question though, do you mind giving me the profile of how you printed your Benchy? I tried to do the similar test, same conditions but I did get some bridging issues. I suspect there are some wall thickness and/or fan settings I need to adjust, if you can clue me in as to how you did yours that can help!

i do not have any experience using the 3d printers. As a matter of interest, how hard can these plastics be? Can you print materials which can withstand extreme loading? Say if I wanted to print car parts like nuts and bolts in plastic. Will they be able to withstand tightening and the threads won't break? Thanks

Hello, I have a Creality CR-10S Printer that I can't get to print. The z Axis goes up and down when homing but won't When Printing. It just stays on the first layer. Is this a printer problem or am i doing something wrong in Cura ?

I´ve some questions regarding 3D printers, and I hope someone in here could help me out
Can you print your own transformer or action figures with ANY 3D printer or do you need an especific type of printer?
What´s the best material to use if you want solid toys: ABS or PLA?
How solid is going to be the toy? Like Hasbro´s solid, like a Lego´s brick or is going to be like a really cheap plastic?
Do you need to sand the pieces or they´re already smooth as soon as they leave the print?
What´s the best software to use to create toys for 3D printing?
How durable is going to be the toy? Is going to break as soon as it hits the floor?
And what´s the best way to deal with tolerance´s issues?

Raise the temperature of the bed when it’s time to remove the object and let it heat for a minute. It comes off easier.
