      @@JaredOwen At the same time, it's unknown how much creative control the Sponsor had. At 3:55, there is no mention of how if you use the app or computer, the files are sent to Bambu Labs servers. 9:00 - You are woefully underestimating the amount of waste this printer makes. A simple 3"x 3"x 3" three color block will make a pile large than you can hold in that little trinket tray.

      You should absolutely buy it. I don't have this one, but I got the the A1 mini, which by itself is $199 US right now, that's nuts. It has all the newest 3D printing tech and is super fast. The print bed is big enough for almost everything I want to print anyway, but the regular A1 is huge. The worst thing about it is that it will fall off a table if you don't have a way to keep it still when printing even slightly fast, probably not a problem with this bigger A1 though. I pretty much don't use any of my other bigger more expensive 3D printers anymore. You should buy one even if you don't need a 3D printer at all and you have a bunch of good ones already, that's how good it is for the price, either the mini or regular, that applies to both.

      @S8_10 2 місяці тому +1

      @@skintech8620 lol, it’s really only the big brother to the A1 but with the big brother price tag to boot. It’s really nothing to brag about, just a more capable printer. It’s enclosed with a hardened steel nozzle so it can print “stronger” filaments like PA6 nylon and filaments with glass fiber/carbon fiber reinforcement without wearing the nozzle out quickly. And I do believe it can print up to 16 colors automatically if you daisy chain 4 AMS units together, I don’t believe that can be done with the AMS lite.
      I will never use this printer to its full potential but I got a great deal on it.

    1:08 is a bit misleading. In subtractive manufacturing, any excess material is almost always completely recycled and re-used. Additive manufacturing frequently can create a sizable amount of waste when prints fail, and scrapped parts/prototypes cannot often be recycled.

    • @freelife-productions5745
      @freelife-productions5745 2 місяці тому

      recycling still makes a lot more pollution, i mean, recycling metal happens in big factories that melt the metal into new parts, which makes a lot of co2 and costs a lot of power. but i get your point!

    • @ThatBenKraft
      @ThatBenKraft 2 місяці тому +1

      @@freelife-productions5745 That’s true! I was more talking about physical waste (as he was mentioning in the video), but that balance of CO2 emissions is also super important.

    I can understand that you need sponsorships to keep the channel alive, however i think it's important to note, that Bambu is a Chinese brand and there are many reasons not to trust them. If you prefer privacy and not living in a Black Mirror future, consider other 3D-Printers those from like Prusa Research (Czech) or Ultimaker (Netherlands/USA) or LulzBot/Aleph Objects (USA) that not only have no direct connections to China, but they also mostly produce in their own country.

    This is fabulous! My only nit is that the fan highlighted on the X1C is the additional layer cooling fan, which blows ambient air across the top of the print. (These can also be added on to the P1P.) The chamber fan (for controlling the chamber temp) is on the back wall.
    Well done, thank you! ❤️

    • @michaelpolakowski7301

      I'm in a similar situation. However, for an investment of time, you can learn 3D modeling software like Blender (that's what Jared uses for all these animations). Then you can create files for whatever you'd like to 3D print, and send them to a service that will print them for a fee. That allows you to use advanced 3D printers if needed, or simpler ones like the two shown in this video, without actually needing to own and maintain them.
