    Like the look of the build! I have a Black 2023 GR86 and the color is a blessing and curse. It's nice when clean, but can be obnoxious cause it gets dirty pretty easily. It's been my daily for and it is a blast to drive. It's my first manual car and first time owning these type of cars. So all of my opinions and criticisms are from a first time owner perspective.

    Yo sweet ride dude! Just picked up a ‘24 in silver last week. Love the car so far, need to get the tint and deactivate that pumped in fake noise. Is it fairly easy to do? Might get that cam like you did too

      AWE Track is louddddd. If you can find an HKS Spec L-2 for cheap or used you should give it a try. It's very mellow, barely louder than stock, so neighbors probably won't be bothered, but sounds way better than stock when you step on the gas.

    Quick note about Eyesight. It doesn't throw check engine lights, it just beeps at you if you wander out of your lane or get too close to obstacles. I have a POV video with examples. Lane Detection can be turned off permanently, that's the orange light on the bottom right of the dash. Obstacle Detection can be turned off, but it comes back on after every engine restart. ua-cam.com/video/Uy7DSB7CX2Y/v-deo.html

    So I’m very tied in between spring or coilovers I know either way I’m doing lower control arms for front and rear but you relatively have the wheel im trying to have so i think all the after suspension parts may be overkill even if dialed in correctly

    • @jaron95
      @jaron95 18 днів тому

      Just take it slow, piece by piece. The control arms could be overkill like you say, if you're just looking for good wheel fitment. Camber bolts for the front would probably be enough to get it how you want it to look and feel.

    • @Daniel_Baro
      @Daniel_Baro  18 днів тому +1

      i’d just do adjustable coilovers that have camber plates and if anything camber bolts as well for the front and you should be solid for good fitment

Also, you have to feel and find the biting point and when you find it even if you hold it for a second to reduce slippage that still a tiny tiny jolt ... or is the jolt from the throttle? like when you add a little gas. Hi! I’ve always wanted a GR86, and I’m planning to buy an automatic soon! (I can’t drive manual lmao😭😂). How are the blind spots in the car, in your opinion? I hear that many 86 owners say that oftentimes, other cars on the highway tend to not see them as well, and have encountered near accidents or almost getting side swiped. Have you experienced any of that while owning the vehicle so far?

    • @Daniel_Baro
      @Daniel_Baro  7 днів тому +2

      i’ve had this car for over a year and never experienced that and have had similar small cars like this and never had that happen.
      i think just dumb drivers in their big trucks that don’t pay attention ahahah but i can see what you mean by blind spots i am able to see good enough but sometime i do think the A pilars can create a blind spot in a way when looking around but i tend to be more attentive all the time when driving better to be safe than sorry !

      I have the H-Tech with 20mm spacers on my BRZ. They take some time to break in, I hated them at first for being too bouncy. But it's been about a week since install and they've settled down a lot and they feel a lot more like stock, which is a good thing. The stock suspension on these cars is fantastic, just a little too tall to look cool lol

      i get that but don’t hesitate to tbh
      they have been out a while now and only issues that ever come up mostly is tracked gr86 and standard warranty on these cars comes 3 years and if it last over the 3 years then it will sure last as long you maintain it just like any car. this is a dying breed probably last before the switch to electric vehicles and more just automatic transmission as well i don’t really see any other car that can beat this at this price range as well the rest of other good manual rwd cars are more expensive

    • @jaron95
      @jaron95 18 днів тому

      All the blown engines have been due to over-rev with aftermarket turbo or money shifting which would kill any engine, or using 20 weight oil on track. If you're going to track the car, you need heavier oil like Xw30 or Xw40 and an oil cooler. Basically just mod appropriately for how you plan to use the car, and don't drive like a dummy 🤣
