Wow! What an unexpected surprise! You made my day. Charlie, don't rush through the film. Once it's over, it's over. And I don't want it to be over. Please.
Indeed. John Rhys Davies auditioned to play the Steward of Gondor and was more than surprised, being a big bloke, to be offered the role of Gimli the Dwarf instead. Looks a bit dwarfy, TBF.
@@PaIaeoCIive1684honestly, they might’ve given him the role of the dwarf in the fellowship *because* he’s such a big guy. Since dwarves are slightly taller than hobbits, this meant that they could have Gimli stand next to the hobbits and already have them all at the right height, without needing to use forced perspective, doubles, or cgi like for the human-sized characters
Gandalf impersonating Boromir is hilarious. I could just chalk that one up to Gandalf's wizardry instead of them all being played by Charlie, and it would still work perfectly. And I love Gandalf's complete disdain for Pippin. The guy hobbit just can't catch a break with him, can he?
One of the best so far. The part with Saurman trying to chat up Lurts had me crying laughing. Also Boromir trying to lead in with "Have you ever been called home by the ringing of siver trumpets" 🤣omg
Watching the lord of the rings movies is like going to a art museum and seeing priceless art then you see the children's hand painting section where you see the rings of power hanging out
"how do you they'd spoil them?" "I didn't want them buying them expensive things, or giving them sugary treats that will rot their teeth" (Nice cameo from Willy Wonker's dad who's a dentist)
Actually, Galadriel did offer you biscuits. The best biscuits in the world, known as Lembas bread. They may not be biscuits in the American savory scone sense or the British desert cookie sense, but that are biscuits in the sense of old fashioned "twice cooked" ship's biscuits that are made to be hard and durable enough to stay good for many months for long voyages.
I absolutely love everything about all of your videos. One of the things that tickled me so much was baby doll Elrond!!! Bring him back please 😭😭 I loved how random it was and it just made his commentary so much funnier
When Boromir is trying to avoid talking about what happened with him and frodo. I was instantly reminded of Anakin and Qui Gon LMAO 🤣🤣 I can't wait for more, keep up the good work Charlie! 👍
Glad to have these back... When/if these finish will look forward to The Hobbit... then maybe the animated versions of these, if we are that fortunate. Also wouldn't mind some LotR and Star Wars cross overs. Happened to come across the Obi-Wan and Grand-Elf reacting to LotR with ligh sabers. Liked the dynamic.
Same here. Both have physical bodies which can be killed but both are immortal. Gandalf the Grey sacrificed himself killing the Balrog in Moria but his noble act meant he was reborn in a new body as Gandalf the White. Much like a Time Lord, I thought in the early 80s.
@@knight9806 He'd have been excellent, and isn't too proud to do 'low brow' media as opposed to theatre for instance (he was in Coronation St after all). @@knight9806 Yes, that was hideously sickly I recall. Can't imagine Tom Baker or even McCoy coming out with all that guff. Yeah, that Old Toby pipe-weed the hobbits were using at Isengard sent them as high as kites. Gandalf could handle pipefuls of skunk pipe-weed and still cast spells though.
I don't know why he would say that when Gandalf very clearly is described as smoking from a pipe. Didn't hear any mention of rolling papers at all, since those were only invented in the 19th century, and only became popular in the 20th. Before that it was pipe or cigar, whatever you were smoking.
@@justforever96 Very true -- and any character lighting a fag or reefer would've been wrong. Gandalf chugs on a pipe a few times in the films, as do a few others -- Radagast has definitely got narcotics in his from his reaction.
