Definitely excited for this film and legacy of monsters damn near equally! Hearing both projects are being eceived well makes me want to see both sooner. This movie has gmk written all over it which is ironic when the director confirmed gmk was a inspiration for him. Let him and kaneko cook with gamera please kadokawa However i wish some fans not use minus 1 as a cheap excuse to say *this is why toho is better* despite it's not a competition between the two companies as both are representing the different sides to the same character on both ends of the world. It's the dumb shin gojira vs godzilla 2014 debate all over again. People can love godzilla as a force of nature or a walking nuclear disaster but it's the same damn character regardless
I totally get what you are saying. However I never said anything about Toho being better, because I too have my problems with the way Toho has handled the franchise since Shin. Again I do not hate the Monsterverse since I do enjoy the films. However since then it's become pretty stale to me. Since I do have my problems like the writing, consistency and execution of each film and series. At the end of the day people can enjoy what they want to enjoy and I'm okay with that. Yes, I am tired of this whole Toho vs. Legendary debate because it is annoying! I am by no means a Toho purist! All I want is to enjoy Godzilla in both worlds. Whether in Legendary or in Toho. And I too am a little excited for Monarch Legacy of Monsters because I like that they are bringing the tone of 2014 back in the series. I honestly can't wait for that! The more Godzilla projects the better.
@@Alzilla09 I never said any of that directed at you, I'm reffering to the fans who simply hate the MV mainly because it's American and really nothing more. Essentially putting godzilla's nationality before his themes and thinks him being Japanese is what makes him, him. But I do agree, the legendary vs toho debate is pretty dumb and it's hard how this argument came to be in 2016 and coming back with minus 1 but somehow wasn't present from 2018-2021 when godzilla's anime was around. At the end of the day, somes fans (not you specifically) should take a note from spiderverse, if anyone can wear the mask, anyone can adapt godzilla as long as his core themes are present.
@@Kaiju-bm4tsYeah, again I totally get what you mean. I really can’t stand MV Fanboys/Haters and Toho Fanboys/Haters as well. It’s one of the reasons why I’m not too excited for the New Empire next year because the fandom has killed any excitement for the movie. Plus the various leaks that have come out especially the test screenings for the film. I don’t expect every content to be a masterpiece but what I do want is quality effort. I still love the Monsterverse but I wish they could do better with their story structure and characters. Legacy of Monsters looks like it’s going to fix that issue.
