Allegedly the budget was $15 million. Try and wrap your brain around that. Americans can barely create CGI stick figures for $15 million. If this is as good as it looks it will put US studios to shame.
I mean, the reason it's so low is because of lower wage costs in Japan. Basically the reason the movie didn't cost so much is because they kinda screwed their team of 35 vfx artists in terms of a proper payment for the work they produced in comparison to how vfx artists are paid in America and other places. Not exactly something to be proud of, or for US studios to be embarrassed about.
Die hard Godzilla fan here. That war cry he put out was absolutely epic. He is NOT playing games. There is more than one Godzilla from what I have read. It is not a retelling of the original 1950's version. It looks absolutely incredible bro, and if you wanna go see it opening night I'll be there cheering. He isn't necessarily the villain, but they woke him up. That's what I've read about how angry he is.
Looking forward to this one it looks more like a traditional Japanese godzilla movie and compare to the other Japanese Godzilla stuff after shin Godzilla like planet godzilla movies and the anime tv series, this looks like going back to basics with a twist.
Yo man. I live out here too and dropped a couple videos with more context and info on the film, it's director and all that if you haven't made up your mind yet! Cheers from West Tokyo :)
When you see his fins popping up one by one , then he lets out his atomic breath in full force with that whiplash. I felt that lol
I'm seeing it on Dec 1st as soon as it hits United States theaters with subtitles!
The old school 1950s Roar!!

I'm really hoping the Atomic Breath is more of a blast and not a beam.
