Katagiri had it coming, he not only tried to destroy Godzilla but he was willing to sacrifice lives especially Shindo when he was still in the building.
Great video. I always chalked Katagiri's refusal to run up to him knowing that escape was impossible, to knowing there was no way they could get out of that building before Godzilla tore it down. That's just me, though.

If I had Katagiri’s job I would find ways to cope with Gojira rather then destroy but that just me .
I love this movie! My very first godzilla film and my favorite incarnation of the big G!
@@chancegivens9390 Same! Although my favorite incarnation of the Big G is the Heisei one. However design wise this is my favorite look of the Big G.
@Alzilla09 Good choice! Id say my second is the GTS Godzilla, followed by Minus one, heisei, or Stan Winston... I can never make my mind up on the third one..
@@chancegivens9390 Great picks! The *GTS* Godzilla is definitely a standout with its unique design and energy, and *Minus One* brings a fresh, intense take on the character that's hard to ignore. The Heisei era is iconic with its more refined look and storyline, and Stan Winston's version had that amazing, monstrous presence that made it memorable even if it never saw the light of day on screen. It's tough to pick a definitive third, since each design has something special, but I totally get where you're coming from with those choices! They all have their own appeal and really showcase the versatility of Godzilla's design over the years.

It's a moment I've never fully understood. I understand the message, and I've never doubted Godzilla is an intelligent creature. But how did this version of the G-man specifically know Katagiri was the one who was responsible for everything. I just never understood how he singled him out like that knowing it was him.
I’ve read that animals can identify predators as a threat even if they have never encountered them before, or learned only after exposure to a predatory threat. It could be the same case with Godzilla. Maybe he recognizes Katagiri through his senses or stench?

Indeed it is! I can't wait for this movie. It seems Japanese cinema is going to reign supreme once again. I still need to see Madoka Magica though.
Was a highlight getting asked to record, though for anyone wondering, the meetup sadly didn't happen, was the only one there.
Looks like it was an awesome time bro! The props look fantastic, love the Mars Attacks one. The Dr. Serizawa cosplayer was great too, that Oxygen Destroyer was simple yet genius!
It sure was! There were plenty of famous celebrities that I wish I met. Also yes the props were incredible especially the Dr. Serizawa cosplayer killed it with his outfit and prop.
