Thats what the NFL is all about..
Its just like bodybuilding and strongman in terms of performance enhanchers. Cant compare them to other athletes when theyr ALL on testosterone etc.

Been watching this video since it was posted. Such motivation & drive in anything is amazing. Having it be this type of training, football and J Beasy & crew, lock it up. Nuff respect. Jonathan Stewart is a warrior

This is so encouraging to see. You can see that he kept himself in shape very well and didn't slack off. This video shows that he is making vast improvements and I feel that he feels that the Panthers can do some great things in the upcoming season. All they needed was a QB and now they have it (CAM). Go Panthers!!

One of the best athletic physiques I have seen.
He ripped and bulky, yet he is so agile, not like bodybouilders who can't do nothing appart from fucking curls.

I think its developing tempo; memory muscles, enabling the body to remember the rhythm of right elbow rise to a certain point maintaining 90degrees, left knee rise to waist height. probably something that's most useful in the first 30m of a 100m sprint. Next step in development is stride length and building power thru >weight. i was a road runner in college. 6000m 8000m. Fundamentally, the 90degree elbow, is essential to all running styles. I'm just going from what I can see. I'm 22yrs old.

Pierre Spies - 1.94m, 108kg. Once off bench of 220kg (but does 3x12 of 165kg), power cleans 135kg and dead lifts 240kg. He does the 100m in 10.5s and the repeated sprint-ability test shows that he can sprint for 835m without slowing. He's not a first choice player in the national team - rugby is not only about brute strenght and speed. Spies' stats put him up there with Richardson, but he plays a sport were play can go on for 10mins, not just 10s. So you can assume his stamina is way higher.

  • @mjribes

The Springboks aren't a rugby club - it's a national team. And their fitness coach said in an interview a few years back that he runs 10.4s. Chavanga's time is on grass in kit, not on a tartan track. The NFL times you speak of are mostly track times (which are by their nature quicker), and if they are field times they would be on fake turf / carpet not grass (also inherently faster).

Graham is the strongest tight end in the NFL? Does anyone else smell troll? On a different and more rational note note, if we have Beason, Davis, and Keuchly starting at linebacker, is there any tight end who has a chance against Carolina? I didn't think so either.

i cant believe people thought he wasnt a powerful linebacker, although he doesn't have as many highlight hits as patrick willis he is just as technical and just as instinctive. He's as good as they come.

Facts - in 2010 the Wall Street Journal did a study of actual game time in the NFL playoffs (snap to dead ball) and they came up with an average of 11m/game (i.e. over 180m period). Rugby SA did the same for the Currie Cup in 2011 - they came up with a figure of 64m/game (i.e. over a 120m period). Maybe Jon Beason does have the stamina - if so I'd love to see him on the rugby field. However, why let my admiration of a fantastic athlete get in the way of your snotty comments, you know? ;p
