Hi recent glow up woman here. 6 weeks after I left, I initiated the divorce, I was sleeping, fully, uninterrupted sleep, followed by coming home to a clean house, no one coming in with their bad attitudes, grumpiness, bad hygiene and manners and leaving a mess behind and waking up in complete quiet and peace. My food is not being eaten in 2 days after I went shopping, complaining when I do cook because you don't like my "health" food. I am not bothered by 46 texts messages while I am out hiking or when I go do something I WANT to do- ceramics class, getting a pedicure, finishing my Masters, or just a nice coffee in peace. I am no longer carrying the dead weight of a lack of participation, communication or ability to be an adult male in a relationship and the only time you fought for me was when I walked after 20 years. Men take and will obliterate all resources they can and then a woman tells you TELLS you she is tired and needs a break, needs you to step up, needs you to cook and you sit there, with your mouth agape, acting like you are 5 and don't understand. I can't stand Jordan Peterson, but he did say one thing was accurate. He said something to the effect of "don't punish behaviour you want to see again." He went on to explain how men will tell attractive women not to wear certain things, don't wear make-up, don't do this, don't do that, then they wonder where that woman they were attracted to went. That’s what happened after my divorce. My ex asked me why I wasn’t doing “all this” when we were married. I replied, “You kept stirring up drama due to your insecurities!” He was always trying to convince me that I didn’t know anything, and that my thoughts and ideas were ridiculous. Turns out, I did know a few things! 😅
When I was in my relationship he brought my self esteem very down. He never wanted to eat the healthy food I wanted and bought junk when I specifically asked him not to. He complained everytime I went to the gym or wanted to workout. He never complimented me or took me out. When we would go out he would constantly stare at other women. (I couldn’t point it out or there would be an argument so I just decided I didn’t want to go out with him.) I also had to CONSTANTLY clean up after him like a child and he required me to cook meals like birria (a dish that requires 8 hours to cook.) or many other traditional meals that are time consuming. When I was exhausted or emotionally drained or just wanted attention then I was being “dramatic, or a cry baby.” I could never pour into myself. I finally left him. I’m A MILLION TIMES HAPPIER. It wasn’t always bad but it got to the point I was just depressed and he wouldn’t listen to my wants or needs so I choose myself.

I started my last relationship at 130-145 lbs, really nice hair, and relatively good skin. During my last relationship, I gained roughly 70lbs bc of stress, my hair was brittle and falling out, and my acne out of control. I'm a year post-marriage and I'm back to my comfortable 140-ish lbs, my hair is back to shiny and being full, and my face is clear. My ex was so stressful in ways that as soon as I divorced him I went back to my "best self." I will never marry ever again. And I'll never live with a man ever again lol

Let me tell you. I was the best version of myself when I met my now ex-fiancé. When woman become supportive of a man, our time is invested=less time for us. Men will swipe a card thinking that totals the unpaid labor and real work it takes to maintain a healthy relationship. Y’all want us to do all the household duties, become the primary parent, be the first to communicate problems, physically and emotionally invest and mold ourselves to a man’s life, whether we are working or being a SAHM. Both situations we get taken advantage of time and time again. Men just go to work and expect women to handle everything else as if no hard work and time is involved in what we do.
Men are narcissists, they are run by their ego. A man must diminsh her and put her below him so he can shine. After he's done that, he hates her. When she leaves and he's no longer debasing, manipulating, controlling, devaluing and able to use her. He reidealises her. Sees again who she was before he ruined her. Then he cries about what he lost. Yet he refuses to see, she was reflecting his treatment of her, now she's reflecting her self live. So he wants to start the cycle all over again.
Men are Luciferian by nature. Lucifer was head of all the angels, he was the most powerful, but when he learned God was going to make himself incarnate and he had to serve a "human" nevermind the human man was a Divine, he didnt see God, he only saw an inferior human creature and refuse to serve. My ex walked in the house after two weeks of a basketball camp, and told me I looked like I gained 10 lbs while they were gone. Being with a person that showed with their actions and words that they didn’t even like me made me very sick. I was bald, fat, bad skin, and never got dressed anymore. After my divorce and moving out on my own, I dropped 50lbs without any effort, and I technically glowed back up. I only got better again once I separated myself from the toxicity.
Women tend to "glow up" after a relationship because they're in a better head space. When that stress from a relationship is gone from her life, she has more time to devote to herself. Some men resent the time that women have to devote to exercise. Other men object to her cooking healthier meals because they don't want to eat "rabbit food." When she breaks up with such a man, she now has more time to devote to taking care of her body, mind and spirit without any hassle from him.

Women struggle to lose their weight after birth because their cortisol (stress hormone) never goes down. When she leaves she's not stressed and the weight falls off. My ex found me glamorous, immersed in self care then proceeded to control me and stop me from doing any self care, hair, nails, makeup, clothes etc because it was a waste of MY MONEY - and I should give it to him instead to invest for me (never got it back) then proceeded to complain why my skin was dull, I ddnt wear make up or do my hair - easy to see why dumping him resulted in a glow up for me.
I thought we all knew by now that heterosexual relationships were originally structured to benefit men…and most times today people still go by the traditional way of doing things. With that being said, these women are cooking for men, cleaning for men, washing their clothes, taking care of the kids, AND probably working too (since alot of men these days want traditional women but don’t wanna be traditional men). So now that she’s done with the man she was sacrificing her well-being for, she’s finally able to cater to her own needs.

Let me take a different perspective here. I deliberately glowed up after my breakup because I did not think my ex was worth glowing up for. I mean there he was, belly sticking out more and more by the day, being lazy at his job, letting me go home alone to my sketchy neighborhood after making me commute to his own neighborhood. He was earning 3 times my salary and being fed and housed by his parents, but he calculates everything when we date. He ain't treating me like a queen, why should I treat him like a king?

I can't stand Jordan Peterson, but he did say one thing was accurate. He said something to the effect of "don't punish behaviour you want to see again." He went on to explain how men will tell attractive women not to wear certain things, don't wear make-up, don't do this, don't do that, then they wonder where that woman they were attracted to went.

Long time ago I watched a t.v show where a woman divorced her husband ( he was not beating her or cheating) they had children. A year later she is in Med school. She was in her late 30s. She became a medical doctor several years later.
There's a real life account just like that. Yes! Iyanla Fix My Life, the guy was cheating AND doing drugs AND had an outside baby on her. She finally divorced him and went on to med school.

That’s what happened after my divorce. My ex asked me why I wasn’t doing “all this” when we were married. I replied, “You kept stirring up drama due to your insecurities!” He was always trying to convince me that I didn’t know anything, and that my thoughts and ideas were ridiculous. Turns out, I did know a few things! 😅
When I was in my relationship he brought my self esteem very down. He never wanted to eat the healthy food I wanted and bought junk when I specifically asked him not to. He complained everytime I went to the gym or wanted to workout. He never complimented me or took me out. When we would go out he would constantly stare at other women. (I couldn’t point it out or there would be an argument so I just decided I didn’t want to go out with him.) I also had to CONSTANTLY clean up after him like a child and he required me to cook meals like birria (a dish that requires 8 hours to cook.) or many other traditional meals that are time consuming. When I was exhausted or emotionally drained or just wanted attention then I was being “dramatic, or a cry baby.” I could never pour into myself. I finally left him. I’m A MILLION TIMES HAPPIER. It wasn’t always bad but it got to the point I was just depressed and he wouldn’t listen to my wants or needs so I choose myself.

I started my last relationship at 130-145 lbs, really nice hair, and relatively good skin.
During my last relationship, I gained roughly 70lbs bc of stress, my hair was brittle and falling out, and my acne out of control.
I'm a year post-marriage and I'm back to my comfortable 140-ish lbs, my hair is back to shiny and being full, and my face is clear.

Let me tell you. I was the best version of myself when I met my now ex-fiancé. When woman become supportive of a man, our time is invested=less time for us. Men will swipe a card thinking that totals the unpaid labor and real work it takes to maintain a healthy relationship. Y’all want us to do all the household duties, become the primary parent, be the first to communicate problems, physically and emotionally invest and mold ourselves to a man’s life, whether we are working or being a SAHM. Both situations we get taken advantage of time and time again. Men just go to work and expect women to handle everything else as if no hard work and time is involved in what we do.

My ex walked in the house after two weeks of a basketball camp, and told me I looked like I gained 10 lbs while they were gone.
Being with a person that showed with their actions and words that they didn’t even like me made me very sick. I was bald, fat, bad skin, and never got dressed anymore. After my divorce and moving out on my own, I dropped 50lbs without any effort, and I technically glowed back up.
I only got better again once I separated myself from the toxicity.

Some men resent the time that women have to devote to exercise. Other men object to her cooking healthier meals because they don't want to eat "rabbit food." Still other men become insecure when they see their wife/girlfriend trying to exercise, lose weight or put on makeup. They accuse her of " cheating" on him or looking for another man. When she breaks up with such a man, she now has more time to devote to taking care of her body, mind and spirit without any hassle from him.

I thought we all knew by now that heterosexual relationships were originally structured to benefit men…and most times today people still go by the traditional way of doing things. Let me take a different perspective here. I deliberately glowed up after my breakup because I did not think my ex was worth glowing up for. I mean there he was, belly sticking out more and more by the day, being lazy at his job, letting me go home alone to my sketchy neighborhood after making me commute to his own neighborhood. He was earning 3 times my salary and being fed and housed by his parents, but he calculates everything when we date.
