- In today's video, I install some new parts to my 72v Talaria Sting. Supermoto wheels, TC1000 controller from TORP and also a 38T sprocket! These new mods changed the game in terms of speed for my talaria sting! smashing past 900 phase amps on my sotion motor and unlocking a crazy 10700 RPM redline!

He claims he hit 95mph Not that I'm saying he didn't . I hit 97mph. I have data, gps confirmed, and video on my MX4 months ago. It will do 100mph here soon I'm raching 1000 phase amps and I've seen 13,000+ rpms out of my motor. I'm geared 40 tooth rear 16 tooth front.
I have pulled 12700 from my motor on a 82v p45b pack today will redo the video definitely a 100+mph bike now on stock front and 38t rear 👊🏻👊🏻

Hello. Great video as always. I wanted to ask what is the difference between a cityplay 50 daytona and a sur ron. Why doese the sur ron require a moped lisence and daytona doesnt? Thank you

What’s ya thoughts on the new talaria mx5 when it drops I was thinking of getting that or the Surron ultrabee the talaria is cheaper and I was wondering what it would be like to upgrade the controller on a mx5 if it really pushes the new 72v battery
@@kleinzy1360 as for the mx5 cant speak on the performance you can unlock but with a tiny 40ah battery adding more power to it will just make the range awful. I cant imagine it has good range anyway, riding it hard youd struggle to get 20 miles from a 13kw 40ah. You also cant run it down from 84v full to 60v empty like an aftermarket battery so its just a miss for me. I’m going to build an ultra soon. The ultra is a lot lot lot more bike for not much more cash.

@kleinzy1360 the ultra is still a whole lot smaller than full sized bike by a fair margin. It sits perfectly between a full size bike and a light bee and also still only weighs same as my sting. I think with a tc1000 you get 19kw as well with 1kg weight saving will be a blast! If you want a small bike just upgrade the mx3 with £4k in parts itll be faster and better for your needs than the mx5 and the ultra then

Thanks man! The reason for the line being external is because of my thick brake line and beefy external fork width it rubs the spokes !

@@stingyrogerr You're not getting snagged by brush and whatnot when you're running sumo's either. You don't have to worry about snagging your brakeline on some shrubbery when you're on road, I'd hope.
What are best tires in the rain on the road? Also for dry?
Ive only ever rode pirelli street angel tires on every bike I have had supermotos on, theyre great but would need to try more before making a decision!
what battery are you using?
Currently a dominator v3 72v by electron cycles. Soon to be on an 82v p50b monster 👍🏻

i have a 72v 55ah battery currently samsung 50s cypindrical cells. Im not a huge fan of pouch cells but they do get the job done! Electron in the uk has a fantastic reputation for making some of the most powerful batteries in the world with full on BMS’s unlike figures quoted from chi as they bypass their bms leading to potential fire issues. I have heard of NAB but never rode one or seen one in person. Should have good range though at such a monster ah rating 😊

Do you prefer better torque or better top end?
Good question! I love a balance although when it pulls 920 phase amps the torque can become uncontrollable.
I would say i like to be able to wheelie using power only while rolling at 30. If I can maintain that level of torque while dropping teeth on the rear sprocket to get a higher top end then I will! For comparison on my 48t I could pop up the front wheel at 50+!
Can you please do a complete guid on how to fit the front fender because I got it for my eride pro ss and it doesn’t fit. I also noticed that you trimmed some of the back part. I would appreciate if you can make a guid on it

I actually didnt trim the fender to fit it snapped off one time in a crash 🤣 i havent replaced it yet!

Chain drive? About what speeds do you need to change to chain drive if your riding exclusively on road? Belt on stock surron so reliable and low maintenance compared to chain drive.
This is a talaria not a surron. The talaria has a gearbox mounted to the motor 👍🏻

@chrisacton4200 I appreciate that my man! The forks are probably one of my favourite parts of the bike! They have 35mm more travel than any other fork brand who make forks for these bikes!

@chrisacton4200 the forks are sold by volar but they are actually made by formula. The forks are formula tech 39 forks. The crowns axle and brake mount is sourced/designed by volar!
With that new 81volt pb50b will u need u to change lid?
It fits in the same shell as this current 72v55ah so should be identical externally👍🏻
would you say the torp or ebmx controller is better than a bac? i have no issues with 12kw on my bac4k but I kinda want more power
I have had all three. I think both ebmx and torp are above BAC in terms of usability, tuning and definitely power.
The BAC does have lots of fine tuning advantages but it is also not waterproof. I used to use a BAC a couple of years ago and never had any issues personally but these modern controllers are a much more liveable option. I would say on a BAC4k you will be on the upper limit at 12kw. You would probably benefit from a tc1000 on your surron, this will allow you to max your battery and motor out no issues and leave a lot of room for any new motor or batteries that come out in the years to come if you decide to go 30+kw.

I went with the same option, but I'm thinking I should switch to a standard version for better top end.
@@TimCee808 can still hit that top speed on the MX version. Just gotta get a different sprocket. Very easy mod to do.
The Sigma company aren't allowing the Talaria Boy to test the Altis.

@@shockadellick Altis can definitely handle off road. Thats what its made for. The extra weight will actually help it dig more in the rear tire. My opinion its the perfect balance between full size and light. Its got a good balance.

Sigma will not allow the Talaria Boys to evaluate their Altis. So it led me to think they're hiding something.
* The Altis battery cover and its removal is a negative.
* The Altis can lose weight if they give it a smaller battery, however, perhaps it will become a 72v bike?
* Here in the states, many are saying it only has 3 inches of rear travel.
* It has a Gear Boss, so that makes it equal to the MX3 and MX5.
The dirt drains energy quickly; the Altis will suffer hugely after 20 minutes of hard riding and going slow will give it a sluggish feel compared to an MX-5.
However, I believe it's better than the eRide Pro.

@@stingyrogerr yea on a sting r with sotion motor ebmx 9000 it's hitting 17kw continuous and 10400 rpm I got it set to 30kw and 400 battery amps but I can't get the sotion to take over 19kw not sure why
@jayppop3333 i’m getting 25kw currently yours should be doing the same maybe it doesnt like the x9000. I peaked at 10700rpm with the tc1000 but only 9800 on the nucular so different controller’s definitely play better with the motor than others. What battery?
@@stingyrogerr I'm going to look at some advanced settings I have to email ebmx for a tune because I'm maxed out at 400 battery amps on the app . My battery is the chi Titian compact it's rated for 25kw continuous 33kw peak . 300 amp continuous and 450 amp peak. Sucks having all the goods but I can't get the power to the wheels lol
How many miles can you go
Roughly 50 miles on a charge using a fair amount of power! If I kept it to 15kw I could do significantly more. Its a 72v 55ah battery 👍🏻
what would happen if the police stopped you, would they take your bike or just give you a fine?
Nothing. My bike is road legal in the UK on a daylight license meaning as long as there is daylight I am fully legal and insured 👍🏻

Im using a dragy. The most respected and accurate drag racing box you can buy. However this time i didnt overlay the data on the screen as will make a dedicated performance test video soon!
Also the TORP bar mounted display is GPS calibrated but the phone app lags behind it by half a second or so. So 60mph on the display is 60mph GPS 👍🏻

Why did you remove the Nucular ?
No man! I never really have budget in mind I just try to get the best parts and abuse them and ride hard! I think the best value bike out the box is the ventus bike to be honest. I also have a 72v surron, ultra bee and many other ebikes.
Currently running 28kw, proper full moto suspension, proper moto brakes a more powerful heat resistant motor. The mx5 is just an mx4 with some more power, people still gonna rip out all the ‘mx5 parts’ to upgrade it!
The mx5 is a good bike for those keeping it stock. A 72v 40ah would be no good for my riding and would have been dead way before i finished this video, I was still on 60% - this is because they are limited to only run down to approx 67v when showing empty and cutting off rather than the full 60v an aftermarket battery can still run on ! Mine is 72v 55ah also so it had close to double the usable range and almost double the power capability. The motor is also running over double the max capable motor amps of the mx5 motor.
I think a lot of people maybe overlook the different demographics of riders and the big names who test these bikes on promotional deals when they come out over rate the bike to sell them using their commission and affiliate codes as it makes them money, once the video is finished they go back to their £15,000+ modded light bee or sting again.
I hope this didn’t sound aggressive or belittling as that is not my intention but I do like to be transparent 👍🏻 thanks for watching Tom!
Also, if you was to turn an mx5 into this bike or similar capability it would cost you a lot more as the price of the mx5 is a lot higher than my mx3 was 2 years ago ;)
And the nucular is limited to 500 phase amps and my motor can do 1000 phase amps so I changed for this reason but i still love the nucular and have one on my surron! The nucular throttle feels better in my opinion.

I’m looking to get a bike for the sub 5k range and upgrade the battery and controller. Would u just recommend the Sting 4 at this point?! Or get this new Mx5?! or should I get the new E ride SR/ 3.0 or go the Surron route? I ruled out the new mantis cause even tho it’s cheap you can’t upgrade the batt and the Atlas Sigma is still too new for me to take a dive. Any advice is appreciated
@Ratm4life honestly grab a used light bee slap a 72v 55ah battery and controller on and you’ll be under 5k total with all the range you could ever need!

Yes! it equates to a 20.5% difference! So 0-60 on a 48t would be 4.16. However controlling the wheelie is impossible. Ive tried.

My speedometer is gps but the dragy app lags behind it by half a second or so but definitely yes a top speed run planned for upcoming video, only problem is that at 95mph my phone mount and helmet visor turn into aerofoils and try to rip themselves off ☺️

How much maximum phase current with the TC1000 with the Sotion motor?
So far I have reached 918 phase amps. If you pause the video at the right moment I overlayed a full stat table from my display. I think with maybe 35T it would reach 1000 pa. I have seen 1050pa on an 82T at 31kw from fw02 sotion

I have the same setup but with a TC500. I will buy the TC1000 because my TC500 gets too hot at 18kw on the motocross track. My Sotion motor heats up to 93 degrees Celsius. What temperature does your motor reach at 900pa?

@Zero-Gravity-7 mine gets up there close to 100° on road but offroad it doesnt often go above 80°. When i was filming this i ran 0-60 maybe 10 times then hit the road between 65-75mph most of the time for about 10 miles before it got to 97°c. When i sat to talk to the biker for approx 5 mins it came back down to around 67°c
My Talaria has been ridden 4 times then started going in reverse now it cuts out waste of money paperweight. And no one's doing the warranty work. Every one beware Talaria are verified scammers with bikes that don't last a week.

Oh yeah thats death at this speed! It scared me so much to go that fast, had to crank my headset lock up so tight to act like a steering damper. Will make a video soon with a full top speed run. Trust me not something I want to be doing often. I reached 76 in this video in that short time and that kinda feels like the limit of safety imo
How much would a build like this cost?
Prepare to be shocked ahah! But lots of these parts have been either sponsored or heavily discounted for me to make content on. I also have gone overboard this bike would destroy the equivilant sized gas bike on a track and in a drag race.
To be brutally honest Hard for me to add it all up as the small misc parts i often forget and miss things but i would say £14,000 - 16,000 inc VAT and import on the parts from across the seas.
The battery, motor and controller are around £5,500 then you got the suspension around £2,500, Brakes around £1000. Wheels and tires around £750 then the misc parts such as pegs, brackets, stem, bashguard, grips, graphics, and then all the other little custom parts bolts and plastics, seat cover. PLUS the cost of the bike. I would say budget for £15k but it could be 10% more or less

Haha great idea! I think the stark varg would smoke it! But they fill different places as this bike is light and nimble and can be used sneaky in forests and woodland! I think for a dirtbike track stark is much much better.
I have another video on channel on my old slower setup vs honda 450 if you want to see a good race! But now my bike has double the torque so should destroy the 450 from 30 mph up to 80mph
