I'm 36 and haven't worked out since high school. I've been obese most of my adult life. I always wanted to workout but did not have a clue where to start as it's so overwhelming with so much choice and conflicting advice. A couple weeks ago I finally started, I've been doing your low impact cardio starter (old one from 5 years ago) video 5 days a week. I really enjoy it. I have done it on days I didn't want to, I'm determined to keep going. Im not sure if im doing the right workout, but its challenging and I feel satisfied that I'm doing something positive with my body so I guess it's ok. Thanks for being so encouraging.
Thanks all! Little update: I'm now well past the 3 month mark of working out 5x a week. I did slack off a little over the holiday period and then I got very sick for a week but once that 2-3 week period was over I got back into my workouts. I still enjoy them. I do find the cardio starter less challenging now so I've been trying out different TBP workouts (intermediate level) to find one I love. I have lost a little weight (I estimate about 6kgs or so) but I didn't start losing a noticeable amount of weight until I adjusted my diet. It's a slow process but I'm perfectly happy with that. Im not looking for a quick fix and progress is progress. The best thing for me is I know im a lot fitter than I was and it's such a great feeling. I love hiking and I'm so happy that I can do that now without getting puffed out and wanting to stop after 5 minutes. I really thought I'd give up before I started working out cos I've never done this before but I'm super proud and happy with myself that I am going to keep going and not give up.
Yes!! Thank you! Finally someone gets it that people need to start exactly where they are. If you're absolutely dying trying to exercise, you'll never want to do it again. No more punishment or shaming; there is nothing wrong with us. We can start exactly where we are, as we are, right now.

I was so happy to find your beginner videos! I am 63, not a big physical fitness fan (never have been) and obese. We booked a cruise for Christmas time and I want to look better in a swimsuit. I have also determined to get healthier! This is my year, I am finally getting my Associates Degree in Fine Arts, started working my art as a professional, and I want to lose about 50 pounds. This is my first exercise in more than a year! I was traumatized with the last gym I went into. I felt "pushed" and suffocated. So after 2 days, I quit going. It was really nice that a friend recommended your vids💜 I felt strength whenever you say "It doesn't matter what pace you are in. You are moving. You are winning!" Thank you!💜
I’ve been doing this seated for a almost two week. Yesterday I took the video to the pool with me and did the routine in the pool. Today, I do your low impact, high intensity routine in the pool. It’s much easier on my joints and particularly my feet (lots of feet issues). It’s worked out great, on my feet, in the pool too. Thanks!
I think this is my favourite one! I have a disability so I really like their approach, having varying demonstrators, and Daniel's vibrant but gentle encouragement. One day I want to be able to do it like Mona!

I just put in as much intensity as I could to burn as many calories as I could! I thought it would be "easy", but still got my heart rate up to 192!
did the seated version for my day 7 workout. dont be fooled, it takes a strong core to do this workout! glad i stuck with it for a week. 6 pounds down!
2 yrs ago I was in the hospital for 2 months. I finally found this work out that I can do . Not total beginner but the movements let me speed up to a level that is comfortable for me. Hope to graduate to intermediate soon . 👍👍
Stuck in isolation me and my sister have been doing UA-cam videos in the house and my mam asked to join in, she's got very bad joints and can't stand long so this is perfect for her

Thanks for this video. Im 62 and started exercising after a few years. When I was younger I exercised a lot, did big walks etc but later in life I stopped. I like the reality of the people as one often feel you can't look like and keep up with those lean flexible people on most videos. I'm so happy i found your videos! I have really bad plantar fasciitis. I lost hope in working out after trying so many times. I can never seem to heal my feet. So its supper hard to workout for me. Until now that i found your chair work out. This is great on days i can't bare weight on my feet! Thank you so much.
I'm so glad to have found this. I've been diagnosed with tendonosis in my feet - one step worse than tendonitis. I'm supposed to keep weight off my feet as much as possible, which really limits what I can do. I need either seated or all-floor exercises so I'm so glad to have something to use.
I love this! I had a terrible injury in June which left me bed bound for three months. I'm limited in what I can do. I love body project, and I'm so happy to have a seated cardio video as a recover!

I’ve just found your channel and so addicted you actually do workouts to accommodate to everyone not just full blown hard or fat burning workouts you actually care about your viewers and put up some low impact workouts so everyone can start somewhere I have asthma but my mother has clots so everytime I try to look for some workout videos it’s hard to find one because it involves too much bending and squatting I get concerned for her clots but very thankful for this since I’m sure the seated exercises would be perfect for her
Thankyou so much for this!! I've recently been diagnosed with an auto immune disease, and have become really really unwell and gained something like 16kg within a few months due to steroids and barely being able to move from the pain, nausea, and other fun issues. I've had to adjust how I move and even how I rest. I did this in a chair and low key hated it past the first couple of exercises, but it was really good lol and I did appreciate it. I have the most pain in my core, and that's partly the reason why I need to work more on it. May have bawled a bit at the end because what you said really hit me hard. It's been really difficult to come to terms with my diagnosis, and the fact that this is a lifelong disease, that I have to keep trying different medications, and that I just have to be patient and keep trying and I'll get there. I WILL get better. I'm not very good at being patient with my health, and I am mad at myself and my body for getting so sick, but I think this will really help me get back on track. Not just a workout ❤️

Unfortunately I am not able to move as much lately due to the new IV meds I've started, but if you remember to go at your own pace, even if you're just moving a little bit, that's progress! I am definitely slowly but surely starting to shift some of the weight 😊 Good luck with your journey!

Male, 65+, fat. This was a good starting point. I'm looking forward to working my way through the beginner and intermediate levels over the coming months.

I have Parkinson's and currently need to do seated exercises. This one fits the bill perfectly for me! I realize it's not designed for Parkinson's, but I think it's just perfect for us!

Hi as someone recovering from covid this February and someone who suffers with a serious lung condition I have struggled to get back into gentle exercise. Some days are better than others and I still have days where I am exhausted. I am hoping these chair exercises and the exercises for seniors are going to help me and hopefully over the weeks I can build up to just standing exercises. I feel totally ashamed I have put on a ton of weight on even though I am being careful with what food I consume.
"covid" if it's that bad sue the pork links. I've had "covid" three times apparently and the first time was a grand total of two days being ill. Then again, if you've been jabbed you'll be ok like the major political figures of the world who've been jabbed but still got it. Joke 🤣
I've been doing some of the higher level work outs and was devastated when covid wiped out the progress I'd made. Did this workout this morning and I am so happy to get back into exercise.

I just started working out to your videos since last week and love them! I work from home and do them at lunch. I just just saw this about an hour ago and thought how cool to work out at my chair in between my calls and YES!! just for movement, because that's exactly what we need when working for a call center confined to your chair....THANK YOU!!! This workout is excellent! I was sweating pretty good while seated!! For the last 2 days I've had the smallest splinter in the bottom of my foot that I cannot find. Which, needless to say, I haven't been able to do my regular workouts. This was great!!!!! Thank you! 💗🙌💗

This is different for me I'm used to doing cardio at the gym...but covid has changed that and these workouts give me the right range...especially since I have lower lumbar scoliosis. Thank you!

I know this video was posted a year ago so I'm a bit late but... I started working out a couple weeks ago. I started with a 7min cardio workout, to 10 mins, to 15 mins, and now 20 mins! I'll be increasing the time next week! I've already seen a different in inches and on the scale. I really love this workout. I have chronic pain in my back and hips and this was perfect for me! This workout is def going into my workout schedule! I even added 3lb weights for the arm movements.😊

@@BodyProjectchallenge so I have completed this workout this morning! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be able to switch to the chair when I knew my knee needed me to! I've been battling my knee for a couple weeks now, and had been avoiding cardio workouts, because they killed my knee. Today, my knee is completely fine after this workout! And my arms thank you as it was not another arm day lol. I've been pressing play 6 days a week for about 3 months! I am so thankful for this program and group of people! I look forward to more workouts like this!!!!

If you're enjoying it and getting it done then it's the right workout. If you start finding it easy then try an intermediate one. Good job keep it up!

Just a quick thank you for these videos. I stumbled upon Team Body Project while searching YT for workouts at home. The first few that I came across did not seem to suit me, but this one was perfect.

I have Parkinson's and currently need to do seated exercises. This one fits the bill perfectly for me! I realize it's not designed for Parkinson's, but I think it's just perfect for us!

Hi as someone recovering from covid this February and someone who suffers with a serious lung condition I have struggled to get back into gentle exercise. Some days are better than others and I still have days where I am exhausted. I am hoping these chair exercises and the exercises for seniors are going to help me and hopefully over the weeks I can build up to just standing exercises. I feel totally ashamed I have put on a ton of weight on even though I am being careful with what food I consume.
"covid" if it's that bad sue the pork links. I've had "covid" three times apparently and the first time was a grand total of two days being ill. Then again, if you've been jabbed you'll be ok like the major political figures of the world who've been jabbed but still got it. Joke 🤣
I've been doing some of the higher level work outs and was devastated when covid wiped out the progress I'd made. Did this workout this morning and I am so happy to get back into exercise.

I just started working out to your videos since last week and love them! I work from home and do them at lunch. I just just saw this about an hour ago and thought how cool to work out at my chair in between my calls and YES!! just for movement, because that's exactly what we need when working for a call center confined to your chair....THANK YOU!!! I’m loving all these workouts, I’m only 15 but quarantines made me a bit lazy so I decided I’m ganna be doing workouts, this is my 3rd day so far.
This workout is excellent! I was sweating pretty good while seated!! For the last 2 days I've had the smallest splinter in the bottom of my foot that I cannot find. Which, needless to say, I haven't been able to do my regular workouts. This was great!!!!! Thank you! 💗🙌💗

This was the perfect workout for me today. I am currently doing 31 days of workout challenge and I am on day 5 and was not in the mood to workout. BUT this video was just the right speed. Trying to workout even on the days that I am not feeling it.

This is different for me I'm used to doing cardio at the gym...but covid has changed that and these workouts give me the right range...especially since I have lower lumbar scoliosis. Thank you!

I know this video was posted a year ago so I'm a bit late but... I started working out a couple weeks ago. I started with a 7min cardio workout, to 10 mins, to 15 mins, and now 20 mins! I'll be increasing the time next week! I've already seen a different in inches and on the scale. I really love this workout. I have chronic pain in my back and hips and this was perfect for me! This workout is def going into my workout schedule! I even added 3lb weights for the arm movements.😊

@@BodyProjectchallenge so I have completed this workout this morning! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be able to switch to the chair when I knew my knee needed me to! I've been battling my knee for a couple weeks now, and had been avoiding cardio workouts, because they killed my knee. Today, my knee is completely fine after this workout! And my arms thank you as it was not another arm day lol. I've been pressing play 6 days a week for about 3 months! I am so thankful for this program and group of people! I look forward to more workouts like this!!!!
I love this! So good for those who have faced injurieries or debilitating health issues but we can still get a workout!
