(PART 2) THIS HOUSE GOT AWAY FROM HER AFTER HER MOM DIED - the FINISHED RESULTS brought her to TEARS

  • This was a massive job, in part 1 we cleaned all of the overgrowth, cut the lawn, edged up the concrete as well as blowing off the turf of all debris. Now in this video we are going to take this transformation to the next level. We will be cleaning the concrete as well as soft was the house.
This is by far one of my favorite transformations I have ever done. Watching the dirt just disappear in real-time was amazing. This project Transformation just looks so drastic but the impact on the homeowner as well as all of the neighbors was awesome. Speaking of that, the neighbor from across the street walked up to me several times to speak with me while I was cleaning, he even called the local newspaper and told them about me. I thought that was a pretty cool thing to do. It's always fun to be in the newspaper.
Off subject story....the first time I was ever in the newspaper I was in 3rd grade and this is how it went down. Ok if you don't know me well yet imagine me...basically the same as I am now but a little kid. I was in 3rd grade an 8 year old; I guess? I'm setting on the floor in class wearing blue jeans a black tee shirt with a hat, sunglasses and the biggest beard that a 3rd grader could have lol. Ok maybe blue jeans and a black tee shirt but no beard hahah.
Anyways the class was setting on the floor in a circle on one side of the room and the teacher, Mrs. Eiller (sincere apology to her for not spelling her name right)...it was a long time ago now lol.
So now we know where and who, let's get on with this story. So I'm sitting here and if we get called on and get the question right, we get a piece of candy. So here I am setting in the back of the class goofing off with my buddy Vince and Dakota when I get called on and asked to answer a question but also I got some negative attention for goofing off in the back of the class. lol I can't remember what the question was but I got it right so I got a piece of candy and was sent back to the back of the class, I was also told to stop being a jack wagon.
Anyways here I am mouthy 8 year old me walking back muttering something stupid under my breath while eating a butterscotch candy when God tells me to, "Knock it off!" and I started choking. This is not your I had something go down the wrong pipe kind of choking....NOPE this was hardcore I was Choking like Momma Cass on a turkey sandwich.
So I start freaking out. I'm hitting myself in the stomach, I tried to push my stomach into the corner of a desk. I AM FREAKING OUT... at this point I know it's real, LIKE REALLY REAL. I know that I'm going to die...(FROM eating a BUTTERSCOTCH) not a cool way to go lol anyways my short life must have been passing before my eyes... turns out I hadn't done much so that was a short experience....WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN Mrs. Eiller comes charging in like a freight train and grabs me like a linebacker ready to destroy the other player. In one swoop she picked me up off the ground positioned her arms and used her fist on my stomach just below my ribs and then BOOM she pressed in super hard with both hands. At this point I was a human toilet and she was the plunger performing the Heimlich maneuver. After 2 or 3 plunges what seemed like everything I had eaten for the past month flew out of me in a projectile fashion....where did it land you ask? Well, you probably didn't ask that but I am going to tell you anyways. It landed all over Tory Long's desk. That's about her extent in this story. She seemed mad at me all the way until high school for that. hahah Puking on Tory's desk is my favorite part of that story. probable because it makes a good punch line when i tell the story as a joke. hahah. I don't know why any ways she grew up to be a teacher and I hope that she is the kind of teacher like Mrs. Eiller that will save a kid's life even when they are the type of kid they secretly want to smack in the back of the head and tell them to KNOCK IT OFF hahahahah
Boy this was a fun ramble for me. Anyways that was how I got to be in the paper for the first time in my life it's also one of the first times I almost died. Odd experience. Not going to lie about it I cried but dude it was scary.
If you are one of the few supporters that actually read my description let me know in the comment section by working the word Butterscotch into your comment.
I could tell the neighbor was pretty lonely. I know it sounds crazy to some people, but I know I am led where to go by the Lord. I also know that sometimes that might just be to have an uplifting conversation with someone. So anyways I went ahead and cleaned up the neighbors property too. That will be our next video.

You know it kind of takes away from the meaning of the gift when its all a staged set up to get some drama for the clicks. It kind of feels sleezy and manipulative.

I watch both your channels and your dad's channel. I watch you guys for purely selfish reasons. You inspire me. It gives me that little push I need to keep going. I lost my husband 9 years ago to cancer. I didn't find much joy in life any more. My kids were all grown up , husband gone I really had nothing to live for, nothing to inspire me to keep on living. I became bitter and depressed. I was just stuck waiting day in and day out for death to come knocking but it never did. I found your channel about a year ago. I bought a new mower, I bought a power washer. Slowly , very slowly I began to feel again. I work a little each day, being old I can't do the things I used to but If I take care and go at my own pace I get things done. I watch you mow and clean up and it makes me feel good. I liked that good feeling and felt recharged and ready to do things around the house. You just may have saved my life and you didn't even know it. Thank you so much for sharing all this with us. It means more than you think. I learned a few new things . I learned to make my own soap. I learned Japanese cooking. I learned to knit and crochet. I learned how to make concrete from scratch. With the help of my son we made a flame thrower. I now have a forge and although I am not good at it I try to repair tools. I bought a chain saw lumber mill and now make my own lumber. I have so many hobbies and interests now I can always find something to do. But in the wee small hours of the morning, when light hasn't touched the sky I sit and watch a kind man mow someone else's yard for his own personal satisfation and it gives me the warm and fuzzies. Thanks I really really needed those feelings back.

😭 Your storey touched my heart. It so good to hear how you have slowly overcome grief and dispair, step by step. 🐾 Wow and look at all the amazing things you have gone on to achieve. 👏 Thank you for sharing your storey. You will touch other people lives and give them hope.
Kevin's channel is very special because he is being in service to others when he can, and not all about service to self. We are seeing giving, kindness, sharing, caring, and transformations in action and look at the positivity it creates. ☺️
I went through a horendous time in my life and know deep grief, depression, sadness, heartbreak, feeling abandoned, etc.
I also slowly recovered and today I live on the other side of the world from my country.
I have a new partner, well we have been together since 2019.
I am going to an adult education school to learn a new language. My mind is otherwise occupied and I don't dwell on the bad things that happened to me. I do sometimes fall back and get anxiety when I remember things, but I can pull myself out of a downward spiral now, and shift my attention to the present moment.
I can speak three languages, and now I am learning my 4th.
I did not plan any of this, it all just happened by a strange set of circumstances.
I get to live in a new country and when we can afford it, we travel.
While I was in the dark night of the soul, if anyone had told me what I would be doing in the future, I would have thought they were crazy.
There is hope. I wish you a very beautiful, peaceful life going forward.
Maybe our sharing hope 😍 can help someone else who may be feeling down. It takes one step at a time. Love and light 🙏💜💖🌹

Kevin you are a gem. I love how the elderly neighbors all came out to see what you were dong and talk to you. The house looks amazing! It really is smiling ;) And everyone so appreciative at what you did. I am thinking that this lady and her brother might even get her a new paint job in the future. It was so overwhelming and she had felt so negative about it. But she was so blown away by the house could look like, I think she will take better care of it now. I have said it before and I say it again, "You are a good soul Kevin" Keep on keeping on ;) Hope this finds you and yours happy and healthy.

Well, she wasn't wrong when she said you can feel the house smiling.
Thanks for giving the neighbors some, apparently needed, entertainment. It's exciting when something new and interesting comes right to the neighborhood. I think about those who weren't nimble enough to gander over but instead sat by their windows with their coffee and cookies to watch. You have touched more lives than you know.
I know that you were thinking about how cool it would be if all that street brick were cleaned. It sure looked pretty in those little spots you did.

Ignore the snarky devil comments as those people don't have good in them and only want to put others down so they feel better. You did a beautiful job on her house and stunned the entire neighborhood but what you did for those people, could not have been done by most. You restored their hope and caused them to speak out with appreciation. You are an amazing man, Kevin!

Your tremendous gift of hard work, moral and financial support proves that God has blessed you in every way. Kevin, you are the finest example of a Good Samaritan. This young woman, hopefully learns to channel HER grief into helping others. There are so many who suffer from depression that need a helping hand. I agree - when people have either a serious depression or financial struggles - it's overwhelming. The list of things that need to be done and the gap in resources to do it means sacrificing the outside to keep the inside operating. It gets more complicated when you see how many different tools he used and the commercial quality - average homeowner, especially if they are fairly new - won't have that level of tools on hand, and can't afford to buy them let alone pay a team of people to do what he was willing to do for free - probably would have cost $2k at least in labor/time. And if they are elderly, they aren't strong enough to use the tools, even if they own them.
