yeah but now it's a temporary station built in 2020 to reduce the number of trains terminating at the Warsaw West station. The name 'Warsaw Main' is purely historical at this point, because it's located where the old main station (which was also temporary) was located before the construction of the Warsaw Central Station in the 1970's
US President Woodrow Wilson is the true founder of independent Poland. He dictated Peace Treaty of Versailles and demanded formation of independent country of Poland, after 123 years of non-existence. All other countries were opposing idea of reborn Poland ( France was indifferent ). That's why one of the biggest and most important squares in Warsaw was named after him. Sign PW is for ;Polska Walczaca' ('Poland at Fight') and was used by Armia Krajowa ( Home Army ) during IIWW. AK was the largest organized underground resistance group in occupied Europe with all departments of every democratic, independent state. Zywiciel was the war pseudonym of lt. colonel Mieczyslaw Niedzielski, AK commander of Zoliborz district during Warsaw Uprising in August and September 1944.
Mate, Żoliborz is indeed fascinating but it is not so old and, certainly, is not purposed for „aristocracy” ;) Actually, it is a modernist design built in 20-30s of XX century (some buildings are also from 40-50s) by social-democrats (I.e., different housing cooperatives related to the pre-war Polish Socialist Party (PPS), in particular the Warsaw Housing Cooperative (WSM) which still exists today and manages the very buildings you are filming ;)). The history and purpose is very similar to what you have in Vienna (Karl-Marx-Hof, etc.).
what is the name of the bar at the beginning where you can drink this great beer? As regards the palace of science and culture in order to make place for that building they had to destroy around 150 art nouveau buildings which could still be saved but the communists decided otherwise. This was all possible because the Germans destroyed pretty much everything in that area after the Warsaw uprising.
Plac Henkla is a super beautiful place to visit in Żoliborz when theres good weather
13:05 there is also Warszawa Główna ("główna" meaning "main") which serves as a station for local trains.
Didn't know that, thanks!

I recommend visiting the Museum of Warsaw Uprising. It greatly helps to understand the city.
Yes, I've been a few years ago and it's fascinating. The museums in Poland are very impressive.
