I’m glad I saw this because I’ve been taking medicine to help me go and it hasn’t helped but my doctor didn’t tell me the proper position so now I can have a good poop. Thank you
That's definitely possible depending on your height and the height of your toilet - you may not need a squatty potty if your knees are already higher than your hips while sitting
Why don't we learn about this at school? Long ago, before schools, could only learn from our parents and friends and if they didn't magically know it we didn't learn it except maybe through lucky experiences. But the knowledge didn't become widespread. Now we have educational institutions where such information can be gathered, tested and passed along. Shouldn't they be non-judgemental sources of information on the "secrets" of properly functioning human bodies? Rant over.
Preach!! I agree that learning about our bodies, how they work, how to listen when it gives us signals that something needs an adjustment, and how movement is an important kind of medicine should be part of general education beginning in early elementary school
@movewithDrChris good on you. I really appreciate you sharing through your videos. I was lucky to cure years of migraines by learning on my own how to position my body properly when I sleep. A ridiculously simple solution but no doctor ever suggested such a thing. So simple but effective and hard for others to believe. And I have no idea what else is non optimal in my life. It's possible that I could be much better but I don't know because I think everything is normal or the way it is supposed to be. I've long thought an indepth book on how to use toilets and clean your self would be good. Why, how, etc. Anyway enough from me. Thanks again for your contribution.
@@Goalsplus you’re most welcome. I believe that when people have access to better info they can make better informed decisions about their health, and my hope is that my videos can be a piece of that helpful learning for others
@movewithDrChris I applaud you and as a male I didn't even know I had a pelvic floor because all information seems to be directed at women and men, for whatever reasons, don't talk about their health.
The higher the toilet seat the harder it is for the pelvic floor to lengthen, making it harder to poop well. Hence the need to raise your feet up vs getting a higher seat…

@@Goalsplus thank you and you’re so right! Everyone has a pelvic floor and deserves to know about it
Buy disabled raised loo seat
