      @@Yanyaaaaaaaan there are many reasons that can contribute to someone having constipation. The squatty potty is just one suggestion to try. I been having trouble with constipation for half of my life. How much water should u drink through out the day. Just with meals? I usually do it whenever I feel like it. Thank u!

      It's helpful to aim for half your body weight in oz daily, so for example: if someone is 120lbs, they should aim for 60oz daily. Now this is simply an estimate to start with and may need to be adapted based on individual needs, activity levels, etc...but I will often share this reference with my patients and have them track how that amount feels for them over time and adjust as needed. Constipation is often multifactorial - water, fiber, movement, etc... all play a role.

    Dr Chris, do you have any ideas for why stool might still be dry when the person is drinking lots of water, peeing a lot, and urine is clear color?

    • @movewithDrChris
      @movewithDrChris  2 місяці тому

      @@NiceDreamXOthat can be a sign of needing more fiber. If someone doesn’t get enough fiber, then it’s slows the transit of a bowel movement which then results in more water being absorbed in the intestines as it moves though, which often results in harder stools.

    Hi, Can Cystocele reversed ?

    • @movewithDrChris
      @movewithDrChris  10 місяців тому +1

      The grade of someone’s prolapse can’t be reversed without a surgical interventions. However, the severity of someone’s pelvic floor symptoms from a prolapse can be significantly improved, if not fully resolved, with pelvic floor physical therapy AND learning how to manage/resolve constipation is an important strategy for improving any type of prolapse symptom(s).

      I'm so sorry you're going through that. That's really hard. A few suggestions: check out my pooping posture and constipation hip mobitliy videos (in description above), google ILU abdominal massage, and I would also suggest connecting with a pelvic floor physical therapist near you if possible for more individualized support.

    For over a year I have been having incomplete bowel movements. Seen several doctors with no results. I'm 70 years old and don't know what else to do. I need help. Can;t live like this.

      @movewithDrChris  9 місяців тому +1

      I’m so sorry you’ve been going through that. That sounds really challenging. It’s important to rule out internal issues within the intestines and GI system, and pelvic floor muscles when incomplete emptying is occurring. Has your physician referred you to a pelvic floor physical therapist? I often find with my patients who have incomplete bowel movements that we need to work on resolving pelvic floor muscle tightness for them to be able to fully empty.
