First time Iv ever spit roast a full small pig was fun and nice to eat glazed it with lots of honey. Did some more work on the kiln and started to fire off some small pots we made lots of rain in the night so had a tarp up over the fire so time and me had a dry space I slept in the moss shelter again and tim in his hammock hope you all enjoy thanks for watching

I can't believe that some people are a little upset to see a whole dead little piggy. All meat we carnivores eat had a face once, and some, such as lamb, are eaten young. No one complains when they just see lamb chops. I know I don't.

I agree about the quality issue. Modern items don't seem to be built to last. Manufacturers make them last long enough to satisfy minimum warranty with cheaper materials and then make you buy a new one years before the old ones would have worn out. More money for them. Love the spit roast pig. Your grin had me cackling. :D

The last time we did a pig we tied the front and back legs to each other so they laid along the belly . Less burning of them. The spit tie down was a great idea. Another great video thanks for sharing

These days, you are busy at work and at being a dad. Still, you left us plenty of fine videos to tide us over until you have time for another adventure. For me, this is about as good as the moss camp got: protective walls and a good bench to sit on!😍

This is one of your best vids! Most of us just manage to cook basic stuff...not a full piglet !Just out of interest, what would a porker like this one cost! I'm determined to make a banquet for me and my mates, it would be so good to surprise them with a hog roast instead of the usual stuff 😀

We have been roasting suckling Every New Year celebration. May I humbly make a couple suggestions. 1st season the pig 24-48 hrs ahead. With salt n herbs, while putting it in a frig. Use metal or bamboo to spread out the pig feet as well instead of them hanging. for the size you have, slow roast it over red amber, not fire, for 8-10 hours. Turn it regularly. Never burn the skin. It will be juicy, soft and very tasty cuz you have seasoned it 2 days ago. The meatn skin from the cheek is considered the best part of a roast pig.
