Certain radar environments this can be adjusted.

The Spirit of BOB HOOVER Lives forever
It sure does! Lou B
And that's how mid air refueling is done on commercial airlines
AirDrop? More like a 1000 feet AirRaise
There’s that
That is just dangerous and irresponsible! They could have fallen right out of the sky. I just hope they had their tray table up and their seat back in the full upright position….
This is why I love aviation
The times on his phone are amazingly confusing
My reaction as the recipient would have been slightly more animated. Like a group Gen A kids overreacting to a friends misfortune.
Airplane mode, but the iPhone's Airdrop works independently using Bluetooth 5.x
Good grief. One likes to imagine that the people piloting our aircraft at least have a modicum of personal hygiene…
I thought he was gonna go inverted with the other plane while giving him the middle finger Maverick style.
I am very happy that Krist Novoselic from Nirvana could get his dream job as a pilot after all. Truly an example for us. ❤❤❤
I’ll have to look that one up
Technology is so cool. It's amazing that half of America thinks science is fake.
There’s maybe 3 actual pilots in the comments, but no, there seems to be over 300.
Is this from the cockpit of a 747-400f? Really cool!
Actually a 747-8f. Thanks.
Oh I guess you guys just had to try send each other photos of your planes in flight..
“Just a text message to tell you to deactivate your chemtrails/Geoengineering chemicals, as you’re live.”
Thank you for my naivety! ❤ I read a lot of comments from military or veterans expressing their first thoughts hearing airdrop to mean something entirely different.
🤣 airdrop, everyone was expecting something to come outta that plane
An iPhone with 1000 feet airdrop reception range at 35000 feet transferring data to 36000 feet at an altitude where there is no WiFi or reception and from the looks of the phone, at the time planes didn’t have WiFi on board.
Best advertising for an Apple iPhone App !!! 🎉
I thought the plane would be dropping something, but the truth is often disappointing
When I read air drop, I thought it was a LITERAL air drop… as in, we are going for a rollercoaster ride here 😂
This is just what we need. Noodnicks trying to get close to airliners in order to text them.
With the recent plane incident, I was expecting a literal "airdrop" to understand what happens and how it feels lol
Plane hovering at 1000 feet over top.... "hold on bro, I gotta put in my credit card info, I thought my data would work".
The tech revolution has really been worth it! Amazing breakthrough! /s
He better not be in a school zone.
True
Lmfao that’s hilarious. In for all the texting and flying jokes
When your trying to go about your day but someone keeps pestering you
All that Apple stuff is impossible for us android users to understand !
I thought they were about to start dropping packages to Africa or something
Lol. Next time
AirDropping ChemTrails
What if dude sent the gnarliest picture
There’s that!
The Bros are enjoying life in the sky
Big time
That's what pilots do when they're bored
Dude looks like he comes to work drunk and or hungover.
I thought the plane was dropping Care packages 😂
The air force loves airdropping things to other planes too except their never that thankful
True!
“They practically drive themselves.”
The other pilot excitement like “cool 😒🙄”
General rule is course 0*-179* aircraft fly odd altitudes - and with RVSM certification ...25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35,000, 37, 39, 41, 43, 45,000. 180*-359* plane s fly even altitudes. MEA up to top of RVSM which is 41,000', separation is 1000' between aircraft. Most commercial jets fly under 40,000' depending on weight. Same direction aircraft would be 2000' separation. Certain radar environments this can be adjusted.
Yeah, that’s all well and good, but this is on a one way track over the North Pacific. 1000 feet same direction is allowed. Plenty of videos on my channel with 1000 feet separation. I’ve been doing it for a decade at least.
Normal range is 30 feet only with both wifi and bluetooth on for airdrop to work. Pulling this stunt off means extending the range to 1000 feet through some alternative mechanism. Is that simply possible????
Can’t connect to my air tag in my bag but these guys airdrop 1000 feet apart.
That is ridiculously cool!
Oh the triple 7...😊... what a beautiful airplane.
Photos selected were taken at 9:40 am yesterday, while on his phone it says it’s 1:56 am, probably due to time zones and his phone being on the wrong time. So technically, if the pictures were just taken it would be the matching time not yesterday’s AM. These gen X-ers think they are being fun with the technology.
