- HW sits down and demos the new Tone Junkie Kemper Cabs Packs. We've been getting tons of questions about how to install these new Kemper cabs and how to use them. These cabs must be installed using the USB method, as Rig Manager cannot add cabs only.
Using direct profiles or studio profiles with the cabinet disengaged, allow you to use these Kemper Cabs and experience the difference of changing mics and speakers instantly. Check out the difference in tone and how you can really sculp the characteristic of each mic, speaker combo.

Your guys' packs just keep getting better and better. I love that a "rabbit hole" to you communicates 50 IRs. My current favorite IR creator releases packs with literally thousands of impulses. Wading through can get to be sort of a nightmare. I like what you all have done here with the streamlined options. From what I hear here, they sound great, too.
Great video, HW! Great Cabs, and great selection of mics & mic combos! I have had most of these mic's in the studio for years, and you really captured the essence of changing between different mics and cabinets! Keep up the good work!

Great stuff HW. As I commented on your profiling pedals video, when making direct profiles of pedals or preamps, having the same IR to compare would help alot. Pity that these are not accessible via the Kemper Rig Manager. Maybe a modeller and the Kemper used together in 4 cable method could be a cool setup to give you even more option paralysis

Hi is there a way of finding out which packs come with the direct profiles and the one's that do not muchas grazzi?
Is it possible to use (button only) morphing for cab changing ? I can get gain parameter changes etc but like to tap the same preset button to toggle between different cabs ? Doable !?!?
Would be awesome if somehow we could get what the qualities of each IR have on a some sort of list that way it would be easier to decide. I bought the everything IR pack and will take me years to get through it 😂 still awesome though!

Guitars Amps & Pedals For whatever reason, I get decent results running the headphone from my HD cable interface (lightning with line in from xlr out of Kemper and headphone monitoring all through the ipad GarageBand) and then I monitor headphones and I prefer the sound to the Kemper direct headphone out.

Hey thanks for all your work HW ! Just a question with the new rig manager 3.0 you don't need the USB drive right ? U can do it straight from the soft ?

Are you saying that you can only use an IR with Direct profile? I have a load of MBritt profiles which come as Studio / Merged only. Thx
No you can switch the cab on any profile.
I'm curious why you keep recommending this specifically for Demos - why not proper recordings? To my ear Kemper definitely keeps up with any guitar sound I've heard on a professional studio album and that seems to be reflected by how many studios are using kemper now.
I'm not saying you're wrong but I'm just legitimately interested- would you not use a Kemper for your band recording that will be released?
