HW sits down with a very cool parameter that the Kemper community has been sleeping on. The Tube shape control allows us to change the distortion characteristic of the profile. Lower volumes give us a more squishy bluesy warm feeling while higher volumes take on a more glassy harder distortion curve. I personally enjoy turning this parameter up with smaller amps to get more of that loud amp feel!

Just got the everything pack.....best profiles I have in my arsenal to be sure. I think this is actually the best strat tone I’ve heard in a long time right here, Jesus!
HW thanks for this video. I've just been tweaking the tube shape (which I've not really played around with before) and the difference is a subtle but good feeling. Thanks for the education :0)
I concur - the TJ deluxe verb profiles are up there with the best
I definitely use this on all morph settings for anything but ultraclean tones as my secret weapon. It is noticeable and when boosted from 3.3 to 5.2 you get a throatier and meatier distortion without necessarily any more gain which is particularly satisfying from a sound and feel perspective at live performance volumes. Thanks for getting into more depth, I wonder if Christophe will ever elaborate more on how they implemented this.
Hiya - just tried the tube shaping on one of Sooze's TS 19 profiles and it makes a subtle but nice change :0)
Hello Tone Junkie, great sound !!!
What is the model of your Suhr ?
Oi tone tv aparece que legal 🤘
HW, please sell the Strat rig pack...as a Tone Junkie Pack
a strat rig would be nice!
Forgive my nativity but, can you not adjust both the preamp and output tube shapes of each profile? Im about to get onboard man, too many Amps is finally feeling just like that for the 1st time. Sounds great man
Did you paint it?
Do A Super Reverb!!!
Just got one in this week!
@@ToneJunkieTV Sound like a crazy setting but crank the treble, set mids around 3 and bass in the 0-1.5 range and then play with pushing the volume from 6 thru full. Moving the bass through that very low range can move the amp to non typical place but with some sweet tones. You can get that SRV thing where the initial attack has that breaking glass snap thing but you might want an attenuator and ear plugs! A Diaz Texas Ranger or Pedal Pawn Texas Twang with a Super brings this magic.
the new friedman ir x is better than any computer
00:30 STANK FACE
I could hear the tone and playing but I couldn’t see anyone playing… 🤷🏻♂️😂#camodadjokes
wheres his body? only hands, head and guitar
tl;dw: If you turn the tube shape up to 10, you sound like Stevie Ray Vaughan!
Ok mate you are rich... end of story!
He works hard mate, one of the best salesman on the UA-cam.HW work hard, flex hard 💪🏼😄
@@musicspeaks1074 Yeah no prob mate! He just has more suhr's in his room than the suhr factory has in stock.. lol
I can't tell the difference with the tube shape at all, and I'm willing to bet you can't either. Even if you tell yourself you can.
So True
Just a small counter point here. UA-cam does have a habit of compressing tones so what HW is hearing in the room may be slightly different than what we're hearing which may account for the slight difference he may be hearing. Cause honestly, I'm in the same boat. I tried to go back and forth to see what I could notice and it was all so similar that I'm hard pressed to find any real difference, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt being in the room. If you quick switch from 16:45 and like 17:23 you can definitely hear something.
Like I said in the video it doesn’t really work on very distorted or very clean profiles. So maybe try a profile with a bit more or less vain. I just showed Sooze when he came over about an hour ago and he agreed it was a subtle but nice change on some profiles. It does effect the feel and tone a bit.
I’m definitely hearing it and enjoying increasing this parameter on some profiles. I like it on smaller combo amps...Im sorry it’s not working out the way you’d expected. I was playing around with it yesterday and liked it and figured maybe other people would like it too.
Thanks for watching!
I can hear the difference when playing and can hear it in the videos. Could I pick it out in a recording? No.
I was t even referring to the video, I’m just saying in general. I literally can’t tell a difference when I turn the nob. I feel like I have pretty good ears too. I think a lot of people probably like to think they hear something when they really don’t.
Is that vinyl sticker on the front of your kemper? Where did you get that done?
It is! It’s from a place called “HAPPY Kemper Skins”
@@ToneJunkieTV Thanks for the reply! The modeling is dead video got me to sub to the channel. I really dug your passion about what you do, and hope to see you with a QC in your hands sooner than later. Keep it up, friend!
