As someone who ran profiles of older amps unwittingly with post eq, this information is extremely useful. Higher gain profiles were unpleasant in a weird kind of reverb. Much happier now...
This actually cleaned up some high gain profiles I was considering too muddy, and did just like you said (the guitar I tried this with has Seymour Duncan Alpha/Omega's). Now to pick out a pack to show my support, because now I've got a lot of profiles to try this with. Thanks for the tip and video!
To help shape the signal before it reaches the amp (change the sound of the guitar to a certain extent) couldn't you just place an EQ Effect before the amp signal in say Effect box A or D? Because how often do we fill up those Stomp/Effects boxes anyways? Is there any benefit to using the Amp Pre and Post EQ opposed to say using any of the Eq Effects in a Pre Amp effects position?
This was a brilliant video and taught me something new. The post just didn’t sound good. The distortion/breakup in the normal “post” sounded cheap and muddy. The Pre setting really cleaned that up. Sounded great.
Fabolous videos mate ........definitely going to get profiles to show support and of course because these sound super great .......any Hi Gain profiles available ? .
Hey TJ, I'm about to decided in between Kemper or AX8 and I was wondering if you have used AX8 and how's kemper through studio monitors? Thanks, really enjoying your channel buddy.
I had an AX8 for awhile and decided not to do any video on it. I greatly prefer the Kemper. I thought the AX8 was cool and really liked the editor, but without the desktop editor I found it very confusing to use. It can be learned but it's not intuitive. I suppose the Kemper isn't very intuitive either. From a purely sound standpoint, I believe the Kemper is the best thing out there right now.
Check out www.ToneJunkieStore.com, we make some pretty outstanding profiles including the ones I'm using here. Thanks for watching and enjoying the channel!
can you do some how to improve an kemper in high gain amps mine are super duppy expecialy past the 12th fret it just sounds like same sound just octave pitched? thank you .....ps your a great player

So refreshing not hearing balls-out distortion and wanker playing! Great tones and excellent tip on EQ'ing. Thank you!!

Can you do a vid on how to dial out fizz on an overdrive sound?.. please
Yes, are you getting the fizz with stomp boxes in front, with the built in stomps or just in the profiles?
No external stomps. Just profiles and internal stomps.
Was that Jackson amp behind you ever profiled? 👀👀👀
More please, you play great too!
thank you man. Great advice!

Thanks, I greatly appreciate it. I'll go with a kemper and hopefully I'll be able to find decent rig for it. You sound amazing btw.

Awesome! will do man. Thanks.
If I get one of the rigs from your store, do you think it'll sound pretty good through studio monitors?
Thanks
is there any difference between the 4 stomps and 4 effects? I can basically assign the same "pedals", but sounds different.
Stomps come before the amp, effects come after.
Hey what profile is that? Sounds beautiful.
