      Hop's Law:
      Hypothesis: People who like cheap guns are mentally defective.
      Experiment: Mabs, ne'er do well from the TFBTV Discord, posts this comment: i.imgur.com/5vSbzbk.png
      Data: This comment - by itself - leads to this string of 50+ outraged comments from Hop fans: i.imgur.com/gieh7I5.png
      Observations:
      1) One completely unsupported comment alluding to Hop being fired was accepted as truth by Hop fans and led to community anger among Hop fans;
      2) This response had virtually no basis in reality;
      3) Hop reviews cheap guns;
      4) Hop fans watch his reviews because they like cheap guns;
      5) Hop fans are clearly mentally defective, as proven by the experiment;
      6) Ergo, we can extrapolate from the data that cheap gun enthusiasts (Hop fans) have brain damage.
      Conclusion:
      People who like cheap guns are full bore rarts.
      This is for my Gucci gun gang only because only about seven percent of people who like Tauruses can read.

    I carry the EC9s and love it. Very accurate and reliable. Ergos are good and the thin profile and light weight make it comfortable for all day carry. The sights demand practice and trust while shooting as the sight picture is minimal. The trigger while good also needs to be used to gain familiarity and confidence. All of that said I find it to be a great value. Thanks for a great review.

    I've had the Ec9s for 3 yrs, havent had a major problem with 2500rds. It was my first gun and a Christmas present to myself. In all honesty, it's not hard to disassemble, he's making sound like it's almost as hard as a Hi-point.

      Aye, Ruger's only real fault is that they didn't make the takedown appear as idiotproof as it actually is. If you turn the hole facing down and jigger the slide a bit, the pin will literally fall right out. This is just like all the poor folks I see hacking at their Security-9 takedown pin with a flat blade screwdriver. If you just put some tension on the pin with your thumbnail and move the slide a bit until you find the correct position, out it comes. Granted I can _only_ do it with my thumbnail, but I'm not a large man so I believe most people should be able to do the same. They're not the easiest guns ever to take apart, but they're lightyears from difficult and tools are not at all necessary.

      I bought G2S as my first Gun. It just wasn't the one for me. Ec9s (with 9 round mag) and a hogue grip is the perfect combination and it's like the best thing on the planet for guys like us with big fat hands. G2S wasn't as thin or light in weight and to top it off with more fuckery they also made it shorter . Everything about the G2S made me wanna sell it. Barely any aftermarket support for G2S. Ruger just did everything better than the Taurus. You can't easily pocket carry G2S without it leaving a bigger print meanwhile my ec9s(pocket holstered) looks like a wallet in my pocket. Ec9s also has a better trigger as he mentioned in the video. EC9S really Rocks in that price range for a sub compact. Hands down EC9S wins this one by a landslide for me.

      @Von Fields I didn't count. Easily several thousand. My wife and I shoot twice a week and the Taurus goes along most of the time and gets 40-50 rounds through it most weeks. Sometimes more. Sometimes it skips a week. I have had it for 5 years. Most of the cartridges are handloads using a 122 gr. truncated cone cast lead bullet, cast from straight wheel weights. 4.2 gr. of Bullseye powder. I also use 115 gr. FMJ bulk ammo and run some of my chosen defense ammo through it every so often. Federal 150 gr. HST "micro" hollow points (my chosen defense ammo for all 9mm) I have several 9mm handguns I shoot regularly, the Taurus is one of them.

Some modifications I have installed are a keep tinkering trigger, blacked out rear U-notch sight with a fiber optic front sight, stainless steel guide rod, +1 magazine extensions from Lakeline LLC, and I bought 2 extra magazines. The best upgrades were definitely the sights and the trigger makes this budget gun so much better. Also I have the Olight PL-mini 2 Valkyrie and if fits the G2s perfect, and as far as a really good holster option Bradec holsters. If you want a light bearing holster On point holsters.

      Yeah I love my Taurus PT111 and 740. They go bang every time after 5000 rounds each with no sign of giving up the ghost. For full sized "duty size" Taurus doesn't make anything that floats my boat so I stick with my Ruger SR40, Colt 70 and Sig 320. I've also got the Ruger EC9 but my wife liked it so of course I lost it.
      It's like back in 1986 when cars where my passion. Bought a $400 Camaro and then put $5000 into the engine trans and rear end. Wasn't a new IROC, Mustang, Beemer, 300Z, Corvette that could touch it. Still had to listen to the bs until I shut them up on a back road. Probably not the technical term, but that's the best way I can describe it. Going from my Glock 19 to my EC9S, I was incredibly sporadic with my spread on the latter. Pulling the trigger halfway and then the rest of the way greatly improved the spread

    I've had my Ec9s for almost a year carrying everyday. My only real complaint is that I should have waited a few weeks because the place I got it from put the Lc9s on sale for the same price. Really only for the sights, but the machined in ones on the Ec9s aren't bad. The thumb safety isn't a big deal, it positively locks off, and I actually don't mind having it most of the time. Trigger feels great. Size is awesome for pocket carry (in a quality pocket holster!) which is what works best for me at the current time. Jeans and cargo shorts. Overall I've been really happy and I still think it's generally the best value single stack 9 out right now. Can't say I'm not eyeing a sig p365 at some point though lol, but I'm totally happy with the Ec9s.

    Carried the Ruger Ec9s for a few years. It gave me no hiccups and was a good shooter. I opted for the Ruger Max-9 for higher round count and better sights. On the Ec9s I simply put some white fingernail polish on the front sight. I always carried the dummy mag with me because of the disconnect. I’ve had worse trouble taking down guns. Never tried the Taurus. The Ruger would get a little dust on the slide but it was easy to clean off if you just don’t ignore it. Think carbon steel knives. I liked the trigger on the Ruger. I handled one of the Berreta Nanos and didn’t care for the feel of it in my hand nor did my wife.

I paid about $60 for it new, because that's what I took to the casino where I walked out with $700. At the store, we paid just under $350 for the black model with standard white dot contrast sights, after taxes. I bought the Ameriglo (made by and marked Trijicon at half the price) tritium night sights for about $60. Yes, it does have a long, garbage trigger pull, but once she and I got used to it, we had no problems consistently placing rounds into a 5 inch circle at 7 yards.

    For my EC9S, I removed the magazine safety, and painted the sights white with nail polish, it is made in the USA. The safety is made to be difficult to engage and easy to disengage. The small sights make carrying easily in my front pocket, in a small modified .380 holster. I buy "made in USA" if the product is not way over priced, being that Ruger is a superb weapon and company. Removing the mag safety is not necessary it is only a pain when the weapon is field strip, the trigger pull is the same.

    I've been carrying the Ruger EC9s everyday for quite a while and I've not found any of the problems you noted.
    1) The gun shoots so flat the extra pinky rest is not needed. I have no problem holding the gun with two fingers around the grip.
    2) The safety is so hard to put on that checking it is not an issue. I have never had it accidentally come on while shooting it.
    3) The sights are a non-issue, especially for me because I put a Crimson Trace laser red dot on it. I know this puts my gun out of the topic of this video, cheapness, but I chose this combination for one thing only: pocket carry.
    4) I find disassembling and reassembling the gun to be one of the easiest, if not the easiest I have ever done! You don't need the plastic fake mag, just clear the chamber, pull the trigger and release the magazine. Then hold the gun by the ducktail, squeeze the slide back a hair, rattle the gun and the pin will fall out! No tools needed, not even a toothpick.
    I think this combination is about as concealable as a single stack 9mm can get. First off its rounded edges blend well, but with the Crimson Trace on it, the print on my pocket is decidedly not gun-like. Every time I've shown it to my friends they are astonished to find out I even had a gun, let alone that it was in that pocket where they assumed I had a cell phone or a pack of cigarettes.
    The 9rd spare magazine sits in a knife case on my belt. The gun is loaded with ultra light 40gr aluminum HP, 2000fps rounds and the spare mag has 150gr FMJ for deep cover penetration if needed.
    Keep the faith.

    I used testers fluorescent yellow or green paint, plus glow in the dark puffy paint from the hobby and DIY jewelry arts and crafts section at Walmart. So it's high visibility, and with some light exposure the sights glow in the dark. I have video called " Walther CP 99 umarex" it shows what the paint on sights looks like.

    I wish i had as much luck with my G2C. I read and watch all these reviews where the gun is just eating everything you throw at it with zero malfunctions and boasting about the reliability. . . i must have got the lemon. Does nothing but jam, stovepipes, fails to chamber rounds. . . just a slew of problems, and i really wanted to like the gun so much. My EC9 has given me zero issues, EVER! and my .40 S&W Shield has been problem free. Between the 3 of them, i like my Shield the most for every day carry.

    The g2s trigger becomes much better more firm with more crisp break with a stainless steel striker guide assembly from lakeline, and it retains the very short reset
    The odd feel of the trigger is the striker traveling over the hole in the plastic striker guide that was part of the lock out system of the 709

    WRONG HOP! The Orange plastic magazine is not a ruse. It is supposed to be used when disassembling the gun. IT DEFEATS THE MAGAZINE DISCONNECT SAFETY SO YOU CAN RELEASE THE TRIGGER SEAR BY SNAPPING THE TRIGGER SO THE SLIDE CAN BE REMOVED. ALWAYS READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL PRIOR TO FILMING YOUR REVIEW!!! I never thought I would say this...but the Taurus is the better gun. I have both and I like the Taurus and hate the Ruger. Also the Ruger honestly got rusty after one day of carry. The Shield only cost a little more so save a few more pennies and get one. If you can't do that, get the Taurus for sure. If you are like me and don't mind being up to your eyeballs in debt, get the Sig P365, it is a damn fine little gun.
