People say "omg this band should be way more famous" for literally every fucking band they listen to - regardless of said bands actual popularity.
In this case though, Living Colour should be way more popular. True, Cult of Personality was a hit that is still played on rock radio today - but everything else they've done is buried and forgotten. They simply aren't discussed like they should be.
These guys are TIGHT. A great frontman, an incredibly rhythm section, a good mix of solid rock n' roll attitude and smart lyrics - it's just very solid rock music.

So much respect to Corey Glover for having so much energy to perform in a surfer wetsuit.
You could see him sweating due to the clothes not helping, but he didn't lose energy.
At the end this band was marked in my memory by the style and incredible visuals associated with very vibrant music and presentation.

I saw them at the Metro in Chicago in the early 2000s, was a small venue and AWESOME! Cory Glover climbed all around the walls and balcony, he made it all the way around - exited stage left and landed back on stage right!

Vernon Reid might not show his chops as much in this song but he fluidly goes from funk rhythm guitar to hard rock power chords. He is one of the best.

What's sad is that that they put out an album recently, called Shade, and IMO it was really good and the masses probably didn't even know about it. I also liked Faith No More's recent album Sol Invictus. What's sad is that there are probably alot of people out there that don't realize that both bands are still active. A couple of years ago I saw Living Colour perform at the podunk Bike Fest in Cape Coral, FL. It was an awesome show and I believe the tickets were only $15. Cool thing was that I met the drummer.
