Dear Bo: It’s fascinating to see you discover each nuance, of the most, successful method, for breeding characins. The plural of “neon tetra” is “neon tetra.” Saying “neon tetras” makes no sense. This is a single species. The word “tetras” refers to several species of “tetra.” Thank you for sharing your process. It’s lovely to see that your, improvement has increased the hatch-rate, tremendously! All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
Hi Brinegar, Thanks for watching my video on breeding neon tetra. I'm glad you found it interesting! I appreciate you pointing out the correct plural form of "neon tetra" - I'll keep that in mind for future videos. I'm happy to hear that you found my process helpful, and that my improvements have led to a higher hatch-rate.
were they healthy!? or deformed!? :/ on your last video they were deformed 😔, i really wanna breed my neons and waiting for winter, im looking forward to you ,
I apologize for my delayed response. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoy my videos. In this specific video, only 2 fry grew into adults. I'm continuing to make efforts. I plan to try the jar method once the temperature cools down. I suspect a couple of reasons for the fry deformities: 1) possibly excessive inbreeding, and 2) prolonged exposure to intense lighting. If I succeed, I'll create an update video. Thank you again for staying engaged. I wish you success in your own breeding project.
Not yet, I just received the yarn I purchased online to make a spawning mop today. Because I'm busy with work during weekdays, I can only try it on weekends. Thank you for your attention!
Thank you for your comment.Yes, water quality can definitely affect fish breeding success.Thatt why I tried uding old water instead of tap water this time and it worked. Thanks for watching!

Super 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
how many months should i breed them?
10 months neons should be mature enough for breeding.
Do the test at the highest temperature, around 27ºc to 30ºc and pH 5.0, this can help
Thanks!

Can you try breeding ember tetras again? But this time can you do it with a spawning mop?
I will do it for my next video. Thank you KP for your suggestion.
