    wow, i am extremely overjoyed to find you, i am trying to be fully raw and one thing i miss is soup, i have a Vitamix , not this model , I'm just wondering what the temperature is after 5 minutes as it seems maybe too hot especially if your blowing on it to cool it down?? I've made a sauce a little warm before but when i put it on the plate to eat its nearly cold again already, i do get nervous to leave the machine on for long

      Thank you for your kind words! A general rule of thumb to follow is that the contents in the blenders will heat up about 10 degrees Celsius every minute. It's always good to keep a thermometer nearby to check exact temperature. Thanks for watching and happy blending!

  • @ln3346
    @ln3346 3 роки тому +2

    Hey Tommy
    What's that about temperature you said? Is 43 C° the max I should stick to if I want to keep all the nutrients?
    Did you perhaps pause your blend in order for it to not overheat?
    Cheers!

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  3 роки тому +1

      If you're not wanting it piping hot and still want most of the nutrients in tact I would blend it so it gets to around 40 degrees celcius - 43 degrees celcius. You will need to manually stop your Vitamix if you have it on a preset function. :)

    • @connorskudlarek8598
      @connorskudlarek8598 2 роки тому

      You really won't lose any nutrients by letting it get hot. In fact, most food gives you more nutrients hot than left cooler.

    Hey Tommy! First of all, what happened to the veggie stock cube joke? I love that joke. :) And second i see you use cashews in your soups for creaminess. Can i use anything else like maybe cauliflower instead?

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  6 років тому +1

      Hahahah I should update my jokes... I don't see why Cauliflower wouldn't work. I would suggest lightly steaming it beforehand though as blended raw cauliflower in the vitamix can have a bitter taste. :) Thanks for watching and happy blending!

    Tried this with not lots of cashews, tasted different. Had hard time fixing it. I added pecans and 4 almonds. Everything else same, may be I should not throw lemon piece in there. It dominated the flavor.. kor may be not to Indian taste buds😀

    • @RawBlendAustralia
      @RawBlendAustralia  4 роки тому +1

      The cashews certainly make a difference. If you're wanting to try something else you could always use white beans / cannellini beans instead of the cashews. The cashews are what gives this recipe a delicious creamy, rich flavour.
