This is an exceptional and informative video. I was diagnosed with LVH yesterday. I am 49 and both of my parents passed away from heart illness in their 50's. I asked to see a cardiologist as a precaution. I can't state enough how important it is to listen to what your body is telling you. My GP said my shortness of breath and tiredness was age plus anxiety. I pushed and pushed to see a specialist and I am so glad I did. Now onto treatment!
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your story. I'm pleased to hear your perseverance resulted in seeing a specialist to discuss treatment options. I hope the treatment helps to manage your symptoms.
My husband passed away suddenly from Acute left Ventricular failure and Biventricular cardiac hypertrophy. He had high blood pressure and was on a tablet for it.. So beforehand the. Doctor has said he's doing well clearly not he was only 52
Cardioogist diagnosed LVH. Was treated for HBP for 3 years and getting worse fatigue and dizziness. Finally went for a second opinion and learned I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Since birth. Am now treated correctly and improvement in exercise tolerance, no shortness of breath. Still fatigued but that is because side effects of Camzyos.
I’ve been diagnosed with LVH. The pain I get sometimes when I walk up flight of stairs and get to the top, I feel like my heart is trying to pump blood through a narrow artery fast and it’s very painful. It usually goes away within several seconds, once my heart slows down.
Doctor I was diagnosed Concentric left ventricular hypertrophy with adequate contractility and normal wall motion? What does it mean po?Is it harmful or not?
I have this but I have low blood pressure and a low resting heart rate. I passed heart stress tests. Do i have "athlete's heart"? I have been lifting heavy weights for near ten years now.
Last year i was diagnosed with aorta and mitral stenosis. Luckily, they found out when i did go to the Emergency room because of the Heart enlargement. They were on time to fixed it and i was operated this year 5 march 2024. But my baby need to terminated 😔 because its getting worse.
Presence of Left ventricle diastolic disfunction but No hypertrophy, No restrictions, No enlarged heart, No thickned walls nor thin walls, No blockages, No EF under 50% but had a chronic heavy menstural bleeding lasting 21 days a month and has a habbit of screen apnea. Will the Diastolic Disfunction be cured or reversed If this habbit of holding breath is controlled?
Does low blood volume affects the diastolic function in Left ventricle? Or the left ventricle alter its diastolic function according to the volume of blood?
left ventricular hypertrophy is basically a death sentence, just a matter of time before it stops ticking, Notice how he never mentions the percentage of cases that are corrected or improved, Of course life style choices make a big difference, but once you have this condition does it really make a difference ? the meds they give you may help for some time but in the long run they don't even know how long you have, doctors don't want to tell you that your fucked. i was just diagnosed with this..
If it is due to htn....then better start with arb drugs like telmisartan etc...get echo every year...I m taking telma 40 from 1 year....I will update my recent state after echo
I was diagnosed with LVH 21 years ago and im typing this comment now, im not taking any meds for it. Dont ever forget, in the end , we all die, its just a matter of how and when.
I went to the hospital for a heart beat in the 30's. I had a complete A-V Heart Block so they inplanted a duel chamber pacemaker.. I also have RBBB and Left Ventricular Hypertrophy. My ejection fraction after surgery was 67%. I went back and my ejection fraction was 55%? Down 8% in 13 months. Just had a ekg and Holter monitor because of SVT for a extended period of time. Not to mention my QRSd is over 120ms. They tell me I am good! Nothing to worry about. But something seems off? I don't feel that great.
I’m 19 I did an ecg and it came back saying I have sinus bradycardia with Lvh I haven’t Horner with heart problems either is that possible for my age ?😞

What is the remedy if left ventricular hypertrophy happened??
It depends on the underlying cause, to ensure appropriate treatment is given.
