1998-1999 edition was off the hook! Ask hot ice what happened at the Battle of the Band. That was the best Ebony Fire I've seen...those girls wasnt playing that year...we had all those SWAC schools in 1999.
Thats a pretty nice clip of Ebony Fire...back the 90's they were running clinics on HBCU dancelines. I think that was a 2003 clip....Hampton U band is definately a slept on band.
let me tell u bra, i went to a black school high school, with a white marching band, and stepping into a black college was soooooooooooooooooooo diffrent, i never worked so hard in my, endure, and u will come out on top, no matter what the upperclass men do call u crabs hang in there
NSU girls did a lot of Janet Jackson stuff...and their stuff was very technical but didnt really flow with the song. I still say Hot Ice cant get with Ebony Fire when they are back in their old style (back in the 90's)
Well I just watched the Hot Ice video and if you call doing 11 seconds of Janet moves toward the end of a 2:33 routine "a lot" then we are going to have to disagree.
That was a good routine all in all. However there really wasn't anything that caught my attention. I don't want to say it was boring because it was not, but JSU and BCU dancers always do something to grab the fans attention. That something is lacking in this video.
Man please class act? I remember when ya'll would claim that when ya'll were sucked back in my days "we a class act we dont need to gyrate and play top 40 music to get the crowd crunk" lol now thats all ya'll do and blow loud. And we are the alleged "Xerox Band" PLEASE! lol You the pot calling the kettle black, Hot ice has melted into a hot damn mess..lol...their almost sad now...like they use to be in the 90's. Ebony Fire and Golden Delight better than them now...the 08' clips prove that..
